4 pointsI have accepted credit cards in the past from clients coming from Europe who were paying deposits for extended meetings, sometimes weeks or months away. I have four or five of these bookings a year, on average. I've handled these through PayPal, which charges a 3% handling fee. I haven't had any trouble with these, but PayPal has restrictions against processing payments for erotic companionship and will close an account if they find that's what it's being used for. Electronic bank transfers work nicely in Canada. For clients outside the country, transfers are still possible but, in those cases, they need to have the complete and real name, address, bank address and account information of the person into whose account the money is being sent. I'm not willing to disclose so much personal information to someone I don't know. My friends, I have to say that I'm becoming irritated by the endless, fear-laden discussion about men's privacy. I think it's not only over-exaggerated, it's also a way to accuse paid companions of having a propensity to defraud clients and to violate their confidentiality. Such cases are exceedingly rare and, I would venture to say, will not occur if one is dealing with an established, well-respected paid companion or escort agency. In fact, I can't think of any recent cases involving this kind of thing. While men may have things to worry about, they will generally be because they have not taken proper precautions to avoid discovery by their wives or partners, not because of something that their paid companion has deliberately done to expose or defraud them. Companions, on the other hand, are always at risk of injury, theft, public exposure, exposure to law enforcement, or worse, even when we think we know our clients very well. The unfortunate, but simple reality is this: we have many obvious and legitimate things to fear from our clientele, while our clients have little to fear from us.

2 pointsI was just reading Cato's reco on Sophia Varoushka and I agree with his comments on cancellations and no-shows. This brings me to add my voice to his. There are too many no shows without an accompanying explanation, as i've kept reading about them ..... Please, let us be considerate in regards to the ladies of CERB, more importantly (but not just of course) if they are visiting us in our fair city. If you book and have to cancel, please do so with as much notice as possible. If you are running late, do so as well, believe me, it's appreciated..... If you do book a couple of days ahead but have to cancel, let them know then and there so that they can make alternate plans; rework their schedule for the day, reschedule their trip. Same goes if you say "i'll confirm by x", at least if you tell them that you cant make it, the courtesy will be appreciated. Anyway, just my 2 cents. End of rant ....

1 pointSome municipalities are defining the word "Escort" improperly here in Canada! In municipal by-law's some cities here in Canada have defined the word "Escort" as a person who goes on paid dates but does not participate in sexual acts with clients in exchange for money. They do this as they want to license escorts but they do not want to accept that the escorts are having sex for the money (that would make them pimps and pimping or "living off the avails" is illegal in Canada). We all know that the term "Escort" is a person who is a "Sexual service provider" also known as such things as a "Call girl", "Courtesan", "Prostitute", "hooker", "Whore", "Harlot", and many other names. Many of the names are demeaning and not respectful as we all know so the ladies choose to use better words such as "Escort" so that they are not grouped in with the women who solicit sex illegally on the street (Also illegal in Canada). In Canada being paid for sex is legal and paying for sex is also legal. What is not legal is pimping, underage of 18, public solicitation / communicating / procuring for the purpose of sex and keeping a bawdy-house. Your common "out-call" service provider who does not solicit in public, does not have a pimp, is of legal age and charges for sex is not breaking the law! So why can they not call themselves a "Escort" in some municipalities? Because the municipality writes these by-laws defining the word "Escort" to mean something that it is not! Most municipalities do this to try to get rid of the ladies. Many of you think they do this because they want to make money off the girls... but that is not true! They don't want the girls in the cities at all. They want to force them to move to another city or quit being a prostitute all together. They use any revenue made from the licenses to further police (and I say police but remember they are not real police they are paid city officials that are actually by-law enforcement and can not charge anyone with a criminal code charge - as much as some will try to make you believe they have this power) Some cities are going to even greater lengths by asking the local police to accompany the by-law officers and try to entrap a few ladies into public solicitation (so that they can stir some fear in the ladies). Yes, they are actually doing this! You can read a thread here on cerb where one lady was tricked into going for a drink at the bar in the lobby of the hotel where she met her date... the date tried to talk to her about sex acts and next thing you know she was being arrested. Yes this is entrapment and she did know better... but I guess she felt the conversation was private enough and he was a good actor (she paid the price) but this is low! She did not want to go to the bar to have a drink with this person and he pretty much demanded it just so he could trick her and charge her. Nice eh! Makes me sick too! A note to the municipalities, We know many by-law guys and probably city officials read sites like this. You should as this should be a big fear for you. Bulling people is fun until all the people you bully get together and form a community and rise up against you! The definition of a ESCORT is "a person who provides a SEXUAL SERVICE to a customer and exchanges SEX for MONEY" - For your information... this is LEGAL in Canada! Just because you make a by-law that redefines the word "ESCORT" to suit your needs it will not hold up in court! You can not pass a by-law based on your MORAL REASONS and you can not charge a ESCORT a LICENSE FEE knowing that they have sex for money as this makes your city a PIMP and you are in turn LIVING OFF THE AVAILS OF PROSTITUTION and you are breaking the law!! With the INTERNET and communities like this one here on CERB the ladies are starting to UNITE and work together! Activist groups are now challenging the laws in court that take rights away from sex trade workers - don't think that this will not trickle down to the municipalities who are also taking away legal rights of people! It will not be long till you bully the ladies enough in your city that they unite and challenge your moral based by-law in court. It will end up costing your city a fair amount of money and one nasty slap on the hand to tell you that you can not take rights away from people who are not breaking the law (just because you don't like what they do for a living!) You should take the advise of your town lawyers who have probably told you that passing a by-law like this can backfire, it's only a matter of time before the ladies unite against you (any many men support them - every day more are supporting the ladies publicly as well as it's not so taboo any more to employee the services of a sex trade worker. It is the oldest profession as you know! Keep in mind that with todays technology (the internet) it's much easier to communicate and form communities (Like this one) you and other cities could bully the ladies in the past (knowing they would not group together) but you are very wrong if you think that will continue in this day and age... it simply will not hold true! Bottom line... No matter what you do you will not get rid of prostitution in your city - Too much need and demand for it - let's face it... if no demand existed you would not have such a large number of ladies working in the profession now would you!?!

1 pointI would never use this, and never see this in a ladies room or house so why bother! When you bring this, she is happy and you are down a little but it makes the world go round and nobody is paying any handling fees through credit cards/paypal or anything else.

1 pointI think its more a sense of decentcy then anything. If my personal address was put in a article I would be upset and scared. Its not safe for an escort, there are sick people out there. Thank you for not putting that article on here. It shows that you have more compassion then the people who wrote, edited and printed the story. Posted via Mobile Device

1 pointI got my first dog in the mid-90s. She was a cast-off from someone I knew who didn't want her ("she's too willful and mischievous" said the person obsessed with obedience). I had always liked the dog and was happy to take her into my home. She kept me good company, to her credit sometimes being willful and mischievous, until she developed heart problems and finally had to be put down in 2002. Choosing death for her (let's be honest about it) was one of the hardest decisions of my life, but luckily there was nothing ambiguous about it: she'd taken a sudden turn for the dramatically worse, there was nothing the vets could really do to improve her condition (though they could have kept her lingering if directed), and she was miserable. I made the necessary decision -- an unwelcome one, but no regrets under the circumstances. I think the need to arrange and manage her care, and then the responsibility of making the final decision, protected me from some of the worst of the emotional impact at the time. But then it really hit me when I went back a week later to collect her ashes from the same vet's office, and stood in the waiting room amongst all the other living dogs waiting for attention, where I had sat with her so many times over the preceding year. I barely hung on long enough to take the box from the assistant, retreated hastily to my car, and lost it completely. I waited several years before getting another dog, and this time I got my two sibling puppies, just eight weeks old. My one regret with my first dog was that she was alone through the day while I worked; as I mentioned in my earlier post, getting two helps with that. I got them in the summer of 2008, so they're 2-1/2 years old now. It's been my first time raising dogs from puppies, so it's required lots of patient training and close attention. It's been a great experience. Wouldn't trade it for the world. I'm always mindful that they probably have around 12 years left to them. I try to make sure they and I enjoy our time together as much as possible while it lasts! Happily, a decade is a nice long time to look forward to.

1 pointI know of one SP that occasionally exchanges services, like for web services and photography. But a lot of people who call themselves "photographers" are not.

1 pointDon't quote me since I don't have one, and best way to find out for sure is go to different banks. Whatever you deposit to the bank/financial institution for security is the limit on your card...you need a $500.00 limit, deposit $500.00 for example The secured card is one means to help people rebuild credit, so if all you can afford is $500.00 that should be it But best way to find out is to go to a bank and find out RG

1 pointI do a lot of online purchasing so I don't use my regular credit card but use a Bank of Montreal Pre-paid Mastercard. You upload to it from your bank account. It is usually on your mastercard by 6 PM the next day. There is no monthly fee. Just a charge as you use it which is very fair and not much different from a debit card. Online banking access same as a checking account / regular mastercard customer. You also collect air miles if that is your sort of thing. FYI

1 pointTruthfully I'm kind of sick of these discussions because there are always a few who have the mentality that somehow independents are better than agency girls, when really it comes down to the provider herself and what she is more comfortable with. I worked for an agency when I first started and I do not regret the experience. I am still the same escort, whether independent or agency.

1 pointYes, I deal with this all the time. Sigh... If you want to really get a hold of me.. Call or text or you won't get a response until much later when it's too late. I don't have access to cerb at my locations. Another thing that is frustrating when the same guys email or PM me 2 or 3 times a week wondering what my availability is and never books. Always promising they will book. Then I find out they are emailing several different ladies at once. I just stop answering because these guys are viewed as a waste of time and don't seem serious in booking with anyone.

1 pointI personally find it's too complicated to have a client who is also your painter, tax filer, chauffeur, photographer, etc. I'd rather see client, get money, and then pay someone else. Much less risk for potential problems!

1 pointI would say, when choosing a name, do a bit of research to find out if there are other SPs in your area with the same name. If the name is already taken, and you are unaware of it and find out later, you should really change it. It's professional courtesy. Think of it this way. Would you want another girl using your name if someone did it to you. The problem with taking another girl's name is clients may confuse you which isn't cool. Also, if she has a bad rep, it may cost you. If she's got a jail house mentality, she may come after you. There are literally thousands of girls names out there. Not need to use the same name, especially in a smaller city like yours. Just my two cents. BTW, I have seen many Asian MP ads advertising Angelas - I don't think in that case, clients could be confused. If anyone challenges me, I can say I've used this name since 1997.
