Yeah, heat is the way to go. The dryer advice is good. Even when you want to eradicate bed bugs en masse from a room or building, the best way is just to fill the place with with heaters, close the doors, and leave it for a while. The bugs all dry up and die. What's less admirable about that e-mail is the naked xenophobia (things come "...from companies outside of America, (sad but true)"). That's not sad, it's trade. Geez. The message is only half about bed bugs; the other half is about how horrible "those countries" are. It's a well-crafted semantic virus -- it's encapsulated in a seemingly benign host ("bed bug advice!"), but once it has your interest and gets past your filters, it delivers its little package of prejudice, fear, and loathing ("those dirty foreign countries!"). Frankly if this message was true, I'd be most leery of anything coming from NYC. No criticism of you though, Roamingguy -- I know you're just sharing it for the good part.

Thanks for the responses, everyone. This person gets really mad at me fairly often and says something so hurtful I end up crying. It feels like they're trying to 'fix' me because it's always about how I 'should' live my life. They seem to hold me to a different standard than they hold themselves. I'm not perfect- definitely not perfect, Emerald! ;)- but I always end up feeling like I 'should' change myself in order to get this person back. The silence feels like a super mean way of getting me to say 'You're right.' I've started to censor myself in regular conversation because I'm afraid of eliciting this dreadful silence. Oy. :( Probably time to walk away from this person but there's alot of love there.

Women bleed. That's the way it is. Deal with it. If you spend enough time inside women you are going to get some blood on you sooner or later. If you are willing to enjoy the fun side of the vagina, you should be prepared to occassionally encounter the real side too. The lady may or may not have any warning. Not every woman is regular like a calendar. Its not fair to assume they are neccessarily being deceptive. I'm sure if you asked the ladies they'd rather not have periods at all. It's not exactly the highlight of their month either. And anyway, periods are only one reason you could end up with blood on your piece.

I seem to recall that there were a few reminder threads started over the last few months... perhaps they should have all been handled in private too? Even though some subjects/reminders are redundant, especially the ones about hygiene and safety, these are always subjects that will keep coming back every so often. I also don't understand why when 'we', the ladies, start a thread and share our concerns it is considered acceptable but when a gentleman does it he gets treated in a hostile manner. Yes, I totally agree and it can definitely happen when we least expect it.

I would like to add that sometimes Mother Nature's "gift" comes without any warning and at an innapropriate time. It is entirely conceivable that she started her period while you were engaged in intercourse.

While the intention of the inquiry is understandable, the service itself carries with it a justifiable stigma as a high risk activity. Even if a provider chooses to offer it at her discretion, my guess is that most wouldn't want it advertised in a public thread. The few providers who advertise for it cater to a distinct client base. Even though CERB is an open board, many prefer not see or be seen as a "cum bucket" which is the traditional derogatory slang for FS providers who offer such services. I think this is why there was a perceived "tone" to some responses. To each their own in my eyes, it can't hurt to ask; but when asking be prepared for responses you may not feel useful. cat

Trying to define what makes a person's sex is like trying to define when a fetus becomes a life. There is no definitive answer. Where does it end? I don't care! In reality there is no end. Continuing to try and put people in neat little boxes doesn't work; never has worked and never will work.This kind of discrimination supports and promotes stereotypes and of all the people in this world, the members of this board should realize that stereotypes are unicorns; mythical beasts that don't exist.
