I did have a motorcycle accident 5 yrs ago (0% resposability). Some brain damage, could be worse but enough to prevent me from doing my job as an executive. Symptoms will likely no longer improve for the rest of my life... All that to say that i did, and still, suffer not from full fledged depression but depressive symptoms. The psychologists, psychotherapists, and trauma doctor all told me at some point that every case is different. And that's my whole point: every case is different and although getting ideas from everybody is good, go get professional help if this is at all possible. The therapist might no tell you what to do but get you to generate ideas that work for you.

I guess really just... know your hair, know your skin. Exfoliate before and after. Dont use chemicals, scents or anything that could irritate after. For any kind of genital waxing, avoid sexytime/saliva/lube, ect... for atleast 24 hours. Coconut oil is your best friend post. For me anyway. Witch Hazel always breaks me out. ^ in terms of which direction the hair should be removed in... depends on the method and wax used. I've never not ripped it out against the growth and haven't ever been taught or told otherwise (even by licensed folks) but im sure everyone has their own way and that's cool. Whatever works for YOUR body is best for you.

What the salons have taught you is likely what you need to know for good service. An understanding of the epidermis and follicle growth helps. As long as you exfoliate, clean properly and understand that hair should be ripped out with its growth and not against it, you should be okay. Having a paper or certificate could be handy for tax/insurance purposes but it's not exactly necessary.

For me, the sad part is that I would love to share my positive experiences with some of my ‘guy’ friends because I have had many and I think there is a good chance some of them are seeing providers too. No one wants to be the first to bring it up in case the conversation goes sideways because in my case I’m in a relationship so that is why websites like LYLA are so helpful for clients.

Refraction

Confirmation received in the mail today (snail mail not email 😆) from Service Canada. My CPP application received, processed and approved (its about time) and they confirmed my first cheque...well direct deposit 😆 comes on July 28th. Better yet their estimate of my monthly payment earlier was a little low I'm going to get $80.00 more a month 😃 This is all posted with the caveat that CPP had botched up my pension application already...my first cheque should have come in April. I think the original incarnation of what eventually became this forum was something called "Lyla's list" or something like that which was set up by JoyfulC - way before my time, though. That evolved into CERB, but the lyla.com URL remained as a redirect to cerb.ca.
