What keeps me here and what I love about CERB? The way in which CERB provides us all with a place to co-exist in a way that other social settings don't. What I mean by this is that, because of the way that some of us are forced to keep our hobbying or our work secret from those with whom we have personal relationships, CERB is essentially providing us all with an opportunity to relieve some of the burdens that come with keeping secrets. Doing this in a place where so many others have similar experiences, fosters an environment where community and friendships are inevitable results of a space that encourages respect from the hobbyists for the SPs and vice versa

I wish to extend best wishes to Eric on a speedy recovery from injuries sustained when his vehicle was struck by a drunk driver last night. The vehicle didn't make it (written off), but seems like Eric will be okay even though he spent over 12 hours at the hospital being stitched and bandaged up before they released him. This tragedy hits very close to home. Let me take a moment to urge each and every one of you to leave the car parked at home if you plan on drinking and don't hesitate to take the keys from someone you believe to be impaired so they don't harm themselves or others.

In an effort to inject a bit of much needed levity, I am putting the question out there. What makes you happy while surfing Cerb? I, for one, enjoy the comraderie, the silly threads as well as the serious thought provoking information found here. Please share your fondest Cerb memories!!!

Thank you all for your 'get well' wishes. They have lifted my spirits. I'm back from a follow up visit at the hospital. Stitches will be removed in about a week, collar bone to remain in a brace, and the doctors continue to monitor a blood clot from my head injury. Some could be angry and bitter from this type of accident...I choose to be grateful. - Grateful that no one was with me in the passenger seat, police say no one would have survived the accident from that position. - Grateful for the airbags in my vehicle that limited the injuries. - Grateful for the donors who gave the 3 units of blood I needed at the hospital. - Grateful for family, friends, and my CERB family for thier kindness and support. We all have an ability to impact drinking and driving. This is not just a problem at Christmas time, but year round. I ask all of you to make proper choices in this area. I am proof that your choices do not impact you alone. I am grateful, I am lucky...this time. Thank you all for your caring thoughts. E.

For me, it's about knowing that I am not alone out there. I am not some sort of sexual deviant for having normal human desires for companionship and well....sex. There are thousands of "normal" like minded people out there with similar interests who aren't afraid to talk about it, even if it is in this somewhat anonymous setting. I also like staying informed about all of the current issues that pertain to this hobby. Cerb has also helped me to see the sp's as "real" people with the same wants, needs, likes, dislikes, desires, etc as everyone else. Thanks to everyone for making CERB such a great place.
