  1. For me it's breakfast foods like eggs & bacon since I rarely have a full breakfast in the mornings. After a night out inalways like to stop off at a restaurant that serves all night breakfasts. For desserts I like either hot buttered popcorn or ice cream.
  2. You can definitely count me in. I've always had a great time at the socials and look forward to attending again.
  3. I've been following this thread and there have a lot of great ideas. One thought I had which ties into some of the suggestions about fictional characters is to check out some of the xxx parodies that have been released in the past couple of years. I've seen trailers for xxx parodies for things like Tomb Raider, Batman and many other superheroes along with Star Trek and Star Wars. Peachy, I'm sure that you could view scenes or trailers on U Tube or elsewhere online that could give you some ideas in an adult context on how to spice things up.
  4. Another reason I could see for an SP or an MP being hesitant to see a younger gent that there may be discretion issues (i.e higher chance the gent could be someone they know in their personal life). For example a lady could be opening her door to a friend of her younger brother, a co-worker or fellow student etc. So for this reason as others have said I would not take it personally. I'm sure with some research there are many fine ladies on CERB that will be a great fit. Hope this helps.
  5. Happy Birthday and Best Wishes :-) All the best
  6. I agree with the previous post - Nicolette Vaughn would be my choice :-)
  7. My preference for Bogart was always Bacall (you can see the chemistry on screen in "To Have and Have Not" that lead to them getting married in real life). That's not to say that Casablanca isn't one of my favourite movies, in fact I enjoy watching this movie with people who haven't seen it before. For Ingrid Bergman I thought pairing her with Cary Grant in Alfred Hitchcock's "Notorious" was another favourite screen pairing (and maybe I should add this film to the underrated films thread).
  8. WOW indeed! What an awesome experience it was. Nicki and I had met at previous CERB socials in Ottawa and always thought she was a sweetheart with a genuinely friendly personality. Nicki is a beautiful lady and her pictures simply do not do her justice, she is even more beautiful in person. I've wanted to book with Nicki for a while now and I'm really glad my schedule finally permitted. When I arrived at Nicki's and she was wearing the cutest little dark blue outfit. Meeting in a more private setting than the socials let me see that Nicki has the perfect balance of sweetness, intelligence and sensuality (not to forget that naughty streak). Without going into private details, Nicki was very caring and perceptive to my preferences and being a shy person by nature (particularly being our first playtime I felt very comfortable in opening up to Nicki) was very much appreciated. All I will say is that playtime was awesome, as she is a very talented girl in every way. I felt completely pampered. A definite sweetheart who wanted to please and was an absolute pleasure to spend time with. I highly recomend Nicki and I'm already looking forward to seeing her again soon.
  9. I had an ex-girlfriend who tried her best to perfect this game (which in her case it was and a surefire way to know it was not something I did but rather a deflection of something she did). As Commetman said when I didn't take the bait, she all of a sudden became ready to discuss the matter reasonalbly. I've gotten the silent treatment from others and it was not the same game playing as above. In these cases it was more of a cooling off period and again the issue was discussed shortly thereafter (I'm not saying that the imposed silence was not tough to take in some cases but at least there was always light at the end of the tunnel). All that to say it all depends on the intent of the person applying the silent treatment as to whether or not they mean it to be harmful or not.
  10. I didn't find this thread becoming a backlash against education either, I found it pointed out that education alone does not make someone a better person. I whole heartedly agree with the "street smarts" portion of a person's intelligence will serve them better in life over the long term than formal education. It's street smarts that generally contribute more to your people skills that will build your most important relationships in life. Formal education can always be picked up later in life and do not necessarily make or brake a person. Don't get me wrong, as a university grad, I found my experience with formal education to be enjoyable and a benefit (although it did open some doors, it was life experience that opened up opportunities once I got in the door).
  11. I can sympathize with man who got assigned the phone number. A few years ago there was a company that had a similar number to my home number where I found myself answering at least a couple of wrong numbers every morning while getting ready for work. Some of their callers were quite rude which made these calls even more annoying. In terms of the list offered to the police, I can understand them not being interested. If the crown would try to prosecute based on any info provided by the man would likely be hearsay at best which means is a non story to the police.
  12. I too am a big fan of William Powell, particularly from the Thin Man series but did many other great movies over several genres: drama (Crossroads), comedy (Love Crazy, Libeled Lady) and of course mysteries (Thin Man and Philo Vance series, the Ex Mrs. Bradford). TCM also has spotlighted other great actors including Robert Mitchum, Cary Grant etc. I find that these 3 actors in particular have a body of work that holds up very well these many years later. Their stories are still relevant today and have few dated references. In fact many of these movies are still being remade.
  13. Speaking for myself personally I did not used to do the manscaping thing but once I started I can not see going back. Not only does it look better it feels so much better. Since I prefer that a lady be very trimmed or shaved I think the least I can do is reciprocate.
  14. I agree with Cleo. When I started on CERB last year the first place I started looking was online. By going online I was able to get a better feel for the ladies through pictures, websites and posts. Newspaper ads don't give the level of connectivity as the Internet does.
  15. I find there are actually two Singles Awareness Days per year: Valentines day and New Years Eve. I personally have made the decision to take a time out from conventional dating for my own reasons (bad experiences in the past and a busy work schedule being the main reasons). With the exception of these two days I happy with that decision. However on Valentines Day society and commercialism makes me painfully aware of being single on the 14th. On the other side of the coin in years I've been dating someone on Valentines Day it's been a great day and a chance to arrange something extra special (although I didn't need a reminder to be romantic the rest of the year it was a pleasant challenge to raise the bar on that day - that I do miss).
  16. I too wanted to add my thanks to Bethany for organizing such a wonderful evening. It was a great night with a wonderful chance to socialize with a great group of ladies: Bethany, Lee and Astrid (also Malika earlier in the evening). Next time I will have to polish up on my pool playing skills though :-)
  17. I'm not sure if superheroes qualify as Sci-Fi (my Sci-Fi exposure has been very limited and I was too late with the Green Girl reference from Star Trek) If they do qualify - then this means there may be a glimmer of hope for anyone who wanted a duo with Batgirl / Catwoman :-)
  18. From my perspective (client) having a connection with an SP makes all the difference. I believe the physical and emotional parts of an encounter are hard to separate. Having 2 (or in some cases more :-) ) parties who are genuinely into the activities can not be faked, if someone tries to fake it then this is the stuff unsatisfying dates are made of (luckily this has never happened to me on CERB). I'm sure it is no fun for the lady if there is zero connection with the gent (example: the lady watching the clock praying for a quick and merciful end to the appointment). As for specific details on the emotions, this is a hard one for me to pin down, either the spark is there or it is not. Much like so many other things in life. Being able to read the ladies profile and posts gives us guys the opportunity to make a better informed choice in who to spend time with (that the gent and the lady are compatible and are into the same activities so there are less chance for disappointment on both parts).
  19. I've been to the last 2 socials and had a great time and would definitely look forward to attending another one. Count me in.
  20. Happy Birthday Sara, best wishes for a wonderful day :-)
  21. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. As others have said it's sad that in this day and age there are still people who think they can get behind the wheel of a car after having too many drinks, especially as there are so many other options out there to get you and your car home safely. Thank you Angela for sharing this with us.
