  1. I wanted to add my voice to the well wishes to you on your future endeavours. I'm glad I had the opportunity to have met you. All the best to you :-)
  2. I was 8 years old when the Christopher Reeve came out so for me growing up with those movies makes voting in the pole very easy. I never quite took to the later Superman versions. I do admit that that as a child I saw reruns of the 50's tv series and remember enjoying them at the time but haven't seen them since and would be curious to watch a few episodes again, although don't know if I would still enjoy them as much as an adult.
  3. Having a very unpredictable work schedule means on several occasions being ready to book an appointment with a lovely lady and then finding out I've been booked for a work event. Luckily I've learned not to book play-time until I'm absolutely sure I won't be called in or I've booked the time off in my schedule. I'd hate to have to cancel on a lady and so far I've never had to :-)
  4. As someone who also loves old movies I have to say my 2 favourite oldtime movie stars are Cary Grant and Robert Mitchum mainly due to the fact their movies tend to remain fresh and timeless to this day. I also love the Thin Man series and the chemistry between William Powell and Myrna Loy (they also made another 6 movies outside of the Things Man series) In terms of film genres one of my favourites is film noir, which is why I like Robert Mitchum as much as I do. He played Phillip Marlowe later in his career when he was about 60 years old and he still had it. Lastly in terms of directors, my personal favourite is Alfred Hitchcock. Although he was the master of suspense he made a consistently excellent product for most of his career starting from silent movies up to the 1970's. As well he made a diverse selection of movies.
  5. Clear and Present Anal (Danger) The Anal Squad (Mod Squad) The Sum of all Anal (Fears) Mission Impossible: Anal Protocol (Ghost Protocol)
  6. Going to Ottawa Comicon buying 4 movie posters from a visiting company from Toronto and realizing once I got home that one of the posters I received was the wrong one. At this point all I can do is send an email and see what they will do.
  7. I wanted to add my thanks to Angela and Old Dog for all their hard work in putting together another fantastic social. It was great seeing everyone again and looking forward to the next social.
  8. Or ouzo if you celebrate Greek Orthodox Easter :-) (Aka Easteropolous as Old Dog dubbed it :-)
  9. This is staged, I remember seeing this scene in a movie playing on Spike TV a few weeks ago. Don't remember the title of the movie, could have been "Highway Patrol" or something like that. But it is still a funny clip though.
  10. Best Wishes and Happy Birthday (and a big Meow as well)
  11. I very much agree with assisted suicide if that is the person's wish. I know for myself if ever I had a terminal illness or was heading into a situation where there was no hope for recovery I would like that option. Considering the healthcare resources that go into keeping someone hanging on, I personally would not want to be that kind of a burden when the same resources can be used elsewhere. In a no hope or terminal case I would like to go quickly and peacefully. There are others who would want to bravely fight to the end and I respect that choice as well. It's a personal decision for everyone and at the end of the day it is whatever brings you peace at that stage.
  12. By "if you won the Lottery" I assume that to mean a multi-million jackpot (which usually result in the most interesting answers). That level of win would be a drastic change of lifestyle, whether you initiate it or your driven to change your lifestyle by others. Keep in mind the downside to a win like that is everyone would come out of the woodwork for their piece of your winnings. If I were to win, the first thing I would do is hire a wealth management company and work backwards by determining how much I need to invest into a nest egg to ensure a reasonable investment income to replace my salary and allow for some fun. Then with the difference I would divide between paying off debts, giving to family and friends then I would decide on charitable agencies to donate to. I'd have this plan in place before picking up the cheque so I would not be tempted or rushed into bad choices immediately on getting the money. Two things I always wished I had more time for were travelling (especially during the winter months) and taking another University degree or building on my BA. So that is what I'd like to do with my time (I would be too restless to just not do anything). After completing my second academic career I would probably join a non-profit agency I believed in for no salary but on a consultancy basis where I could still travel and not be too tied down so I could still have a little fun.
  13. Bonne Fete Katrine and best wishes for a wonderful day filled with many gifts and much joy.
  14. Being single at this stage of my life one of the benefits is not having to sneak out of the house or worrying about coming in late after work. All I have to focus on is enjoying the company of the lovely lady.
  15. For myself I do manscape as I feel it is more hygienic and cleaner. I personally feel better and more confident for an appointment when I do, as well the sensations are much better. Since it's my preference for the ladies to be shaved, I feel it is the least I can do to make our time together more mutually enjoyable
  16. Sorry to hear about your accident, but at least the person is facing charges. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
  17. Entrapment (1999) Sean Connery and Catherine Zeta-Jones
  18. For me being a bit of a foot guy I love to see a lady wear sexy heels or a nice pair of boots. I agree with Dominoeffect and would prefer ladies to leave the shoes on during play time but find many ladies don't saying they don't want to accidentally hurt me (not sure the stats on shoe injuries during play time - but I'm willing to take a chance :-) ). I'm not particular about stockings and realize they are quite an expense for the ladies, so my preference is no stockings (my least favorite style of stocking is fishnet - never caught my fancy for some reason).
  19. Congratulations Nikki - always enjoy reading your posts and looking forward to your next 5000 posts :-)
  20. I would highly recommend Kianna.
  21. For recent movies my favourites are: Skyfall - I agree this is one of the best Bond movies which was a great way to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the series. Ted - Really funny movie, I enjoy the Family Guy style humour (from the same creator) and the pop culture references are fun to see. I've seen the trailer for Hitchcock and look forward to seeing it as I am a fan of Alfred Hitchcock and would like to see how the story connects to some of the books I've read on his personal life. As mentioned in a previous post Hitchcock did at times obsess with his leading ladies and was not particularly fond of young children as per a recent interview I read with Melanie Griffith about her mom Tippi Hendren working for Hitchcock and Melanie being a small girl on the set.
