Another cold wet PEI day so my mundane tasks are underway. Beds have been changed, the laundry is in, the dishes are done and lots of tidying and cleaning are still on the agenda. How dull eh? :)

My hummingbirds came back on their usual schedule, actually arriving a few days early this year on May 11th. I went from my typical four feeders to eleven and the little guys are everywhere. They are so interesting to watch. They do EVERYTHING fast and yesterday I watched two of them mating. Five seconds max! Jeeze, I thought I was quick! The foreplay was fascinating however. Diving and swooping and chattering and wish I could have interpreted the pillow talk. :) Typical guy though, he was out of there as soon as he completed his mission but she basked in the afterglow for a few seconds.

Pete is right on with his comment about great hockey. I have not watched as much as I would were a Canadian team still playing but regardless I would say that the best hockey teams are still playing and its damn good.I think my allegiances are going towards Chicago and the Rangers.

I see that Atlantic Canadians are are all happy. :) Same here on PEI.

I do believe that to this point you are outnumbered Gabriella. I'm hoping for a NY - Chicago final. And if that happens I shall have to think about who to cheer for.

Well I was travelling for most of that series but with my lucky (unlucky? jersey. I saw game six and at this point have to say that the best team won. Montreal did not want it as much as TB. Please please please lets go get some natural goal scorers for next year! Since the Canadian teams are now all gone it', "Let's go Jays," and very soon, Go Al's. Great season Montreal. I'm also watching the game and am thinking that this has potential to be a very late night.

The 10 cm of snow that we got yesterday is pretty well melted away. That bit of snow put us over the all time record and that shows because I still have at least three feet of snow over much of my yard and over all of my gardens. The highlight is that today is packing day for a drive up to Kingston. I love driving and this trip lets me see my daughter and grandson, let's me experience some warmer weather, and will be a great break before coming home to proper weather and the chance to work outside in better conditions.

Just booked a hotel at the half way point on my way up to Kingston. Yay. Road trip!

Well. You Sens fans probably knew this all year and certainly since their run started in February, but THERE IS NO QUIT IN YOUR TEAM. They totally dominated in Montreal the other night. So, tonight we go back to Ottawa and all I can say is that Montreal had best get serious. Carey Price cannot win it all, they need some goal scoring. As usual, my jersey is ready. Go Habs Go. PS. Its no fun rolling over a team so this is a great series!

Working outside all day! I still have to work around the big snow drifts but I've waited all winter for this opportunity.

Well if loving the Marvel movies makes one a geek then let me join the club. I anticipate every release of the movies and really like how individual characters have their own movies but have come together in the Avengers. It's hard to say who my favorite character is but it might well be Thor. I'll be seeing the new Avengers movie before too long.

I cannot tell a lie. I may be personally responsible for the Canadiens losing the other night. As is normal practice I had my Habs jersey laid out and I put it on right at game time. We were behind 1-0 after the second period but I was confident. However between the second and third periods I went to my very dirty farmhouse clay basement to get something and being very protective of my jersey, I took it off. At the end of the game I noticed that it was still on the chair because I forgot to put it back on for the third period. I apologize to all Habs fans. That mistake will not happen tonight. :)

Tonight will be an all time favourite. BBQ hamburgers.
