  1. I've read other threads on this topic, and followed along thus far with this one, as it's an interesting topic to me personally as I have a wife of 15 years, and I'm now part of this world in which we all partake. As many have said, and to which I agree, there are as many reasons as there are hobbyists, I think. And these reasons are why I find the topic interesting. Why? Because I haven't figured my reasons out as of yet. I actually find it a bit surreal that I'm here. While I've lurked here since 2009, it was more out of curiosity than desire to become involved. Then, a little over month ago, something compelled me to make my first post. Not long after that, I had my first encounter. From first post to first encounter happened so fast that I was at a loss for thought on my drive home following it... ...And I still am. I know there's something important to be found in answering my own questions. Something that I desperately need to know. But until I find the reason, or reasons, all I know is that I have no guilt in doing what I've done and I feel compelled to continue. Who knows, once I figure it out I may drop off the grid entirely, or maybe the opposite. Anyway...an interesting topic indeed.
  2. Hey, Wrecker. You'd be better served by looking through the advertisements and announcements here to see who may be available. And, then, the recommendations here. Have a look at any websites, profiles, posts, etc, of the the ladies as well. If one of the lovely ladies here interests you, reach out to them (by whatever means they prefer). :) There's always backpage as well. However, I'd highly recommend you search here first for any ladies on backpage that interest you before making any decisions. Asking, "Who is available" will not get you very far without much more information on your part. :) Good luck...
  3. Pffffffft... I never liked that guy. :nospam: :p Thanks for all your contributions, RG!!!
  4. You would not believe the horrible mood I'm in now!! If I don't see some sun and +20 something soon.... :( Bah! Additional Comments: Well, my mood is better...just don't talk to, or look at, me. LOL :p Still home ill, though...a good ol' case of the flu. We'll see what tomorrow brings. Hope everyone had a great day and hope the same for tomorrow. :)
  5. Same thing I was earlier. Still lying in bed. Still ill. Still aimlessly surfing. Still not contributing to society. Been a helluva day...
  6. Tweeted this the other night about being a Gentleman.
  7. I'm home ill today, so right now I'm just aimlessly surfing the net, cerb, twitter, and generally contributing very little to society.
  8. Another belated birthday wish, Lilly! Hope you enjoyed. :)
  9. That's the only bright spot, I guess. :) I've just "had it" with this particular winter....
  10. Bah! What a shitty day in New Brunswick. Feels like January. :(
  11. Snow, rain, freezing rain, cold... Not a great Sunday. I'm really reaching my limit with the weather as it's really souring my mood. Time to plan an escape...somehow.
  12. Just finished a wonderfully fatty, greasy meal that will go straight to my hips.
  13. A couple off egg mcmuffins this morning from McDonald's. Love those things...
  14. Now that you mention it...something very peaceful about waking up on a weekend morning to a clear day and birds chirping. Missin' that. It's not getting quite that warm here today, but better than the alternative. I'll ignore tomorrow's forecast. :)
  15. Stupid twitter question as I haven't used it in a long time: If someone "favourites" one of your tweets, is that used (sometimes) in a way that's analogous to "Like" on facebook? I only ask as a couple of you have favourite one or two of mine, and, well, they ain't nothing special. So, I'm guessing I'm right...?
  16. Playing around with one of my toys. No...no. A tablet. Tech toy. Get your mind outta the..well, you know.
  17. Although I do enjoy wine, I'm not much of a drinker. That said, I've had some I really enjoyed and others...not so much. I do prefer white wine, but other than that have no favourites. If it has a cork, chances are I'll probably enjoy it. ;)
  18. That would be 90% of yer problem right there. ;)
  19. I'm running Windows 8.1 and decided to switch back to IE after years with Firefox and Chrome (sometimes Opera). Google has just Pi$$ed me off too many times and their browser is just becoming a bloated mess, in my opinion. Since I've started to rely on Microsoft's services a lot more of the last year, IE made sense. Plus, it's no longer the horrible browser it once was. Meaghan, without knowing exactly what's happening, I'd say you're visiting an infected site/link and you need new/better virus software. Google Chrome is actually pretty good at protecting itself, I'm surprised you're having the issue....
  20. As others have said, it's the community spirit that makes CERB what it is, I think. I'm still new, and getting to know people, but I feel welcomed. :) The real wonderful thing, however, is that while I've never had negativity of any sort towards the business, or the people involved in it, spending time here has corrected some innocent misconceptions I've had. Anyone who would judge us all would do well to spend some time here getting to know the people.
  21. Sorry, Meaghan. :( We decided to stay together for the kids. The dogs needed to get out for walk. :p But, yeah. Holy crap there's a lot of snow. Winter, you can bugger off now. :ThankYou:
  22. Either am I, Jafo. I've deleted my "real" Twitter account more than once...I just couldn't get into it. But, I have a feeling it may act as a great compliment to CERB. That's the thing with Social Media, I think. You need to be active on it with a purpose, or subject. I was very active on Google+ for quite a while purely for photography reasons...and it worked out well. Anyway....
  23. Speaking of sweets... I was NEVER a sweet (food..lol) person. I rarely had a desert unless it was a special occasion, never ate chocolate, or any candies. Now...I gotta have something at some point in my day. I'm not sure how that got started. Apparently, I've read, it's similar to an addiction: Give it up for a few days or so and the cravings go away.
