And $100/per shift for........other girls. Make of that what you will. Either way it's a big jump up from the $15-20 they were charging recently. I'm thinking they'll probably bring it back down...a lot of ladies have left Barefax since then. I think that decision is coming back to bite them in the ass. I think that decision is coming back to bite them in the ass. Barb's is also upping theirs from $25/35/45 to $60/80/?? which is a HUGE jump! And yes I think this is going to bite them in the ass. I've noticed over the last 2 years, there are less customers and and less girls all the time. At the Fax, there were a few evenings where there was no one on stage for several songs. In the evening. The Den is always sparsely populated even on the weekends and the girls are Barb's...are less and less attractive, and I'm one of those guys that claps for the dancers even tho they shouldn't be a dancer (bonus points if you get that reference ;), so I wouldn't say that if I didn't really, really notice a difference. So I don't know if the clubs are feeling it $ and trying to make up for it by charging the girls more. But there's some nights that some girls go home with less than they came with if it's a slow night/they don't hustle enough with dj fee and drinks (plus babysitter sometimes too). By upping the cost this much, more girls are going to quit because it's not worth it and therefore less girls = less guys = less alcohol sold = fail. Or you could look at it that the better hustlers will survive etc etc, but the jump in cost just seems like too much too fast. In some cases double. Anyway. I wonder if the era of strip clubs is winding down, much like the era of porn theaters is over, and the peep show? The Internet and videos killed those activities. But the one advantage that strip clubs had over these other things is that it was interactive entertainment. I wouldn't think interactive adult entertainment would have anything to worry about from Internet porn. But perhaps all of the bylaw restrictions that various cities are putting on these clubs to reduce interactiveness, is starting to have the intended effect of discouraging guys from having much interest in them anymore? The first thing I thought was that it might force the girls to more than they normally would/happily give. This is not necessarily a good thing, since I have the most fun when person I am with is also having fun. I always hate that sudden change in the cr dance when there are 10 seconds left in the song. I was quite disappointed, one afternoon, (admittedly Saturday, about 2pm) I sat looking at an empty stage for 40 mins, during which a girl danced for under 6 mins. Not many girls there, about 6, and none above a 4 at best. You'd think they might encourage people to stay by having a little more action. Not the place I remember from some years ago. Anyway, another afternoon during the week the same girls mostly were there plus I was entertained by a beautiful, educated young spinner who was not there on the Sat. great_s 132 Report post Posted April 25, 2012 This thread has gone quiet again... nobody been in to visit lately? Anyways, was in to the BF Monday night after the hockey game. Was pleasantly surprised how busy the club was and how many fine ladies were there. Spent some time with old favourites like Honey and Deena, also saw some new great talent.
