What is for supper tonight?

Recommended Posts

Had a great beef tenderloin topped with BBQ spiced pulled pork served with Dauphenois Potato with parmesan, wild berry reduction and lemon scented vegetables... for desert Newfoundland chocolate trifle... this was all at a Gala Dinner and Auction for John and Jane Crosbie... to raise money for Hope Air and Salvation Army homelessness initiative.

Great event that had Rex Murphy, Brian Tobin, Joe Clark, Maureen Mcteer and Jean Chretian as speakers and is expected to raise about $250,000 for two great causes.

One of my comfort foods. My world famous homemade Mac and Cheese. :)

Nom! Haven't had mac and cheese in ages. In fact, i had this variation a few months ago at a local restaurant:

But for me tonight i've got chicken breast marinating for the rest of the day in buttermilk, herbs and spices (oven baked later).

We tossed a package of chopped spinach into some mac & cheese recently. It was so good, we had it again two nights later.

I'm thinking of making this version later today, although it actually uses spaghetti instead of elbow macaroni. Spinach would be a nice addition.

Well nothing fancy, but spicy

Schneider's Three Cheese Jalapeño sausage cooked up in the frying pan

With Frank's Red Hot Buffalo Wing sauce over it

And a side of homemade macaroni salad

Washed down with a cold no alcohol beer

Followed by mixed berries for desert

Lots of time to cook today, started with a salad followed by baked potato, steak with lots of onions and peppers, very tasty.
