2 pointsI read a comment left on an entry that I made earlier today in the Highlights of the Day thread that caused me to think a bit more about our CERB family. CERB - the more that I get involved with it and the more that I read contributions that are made in its forums has many of the characteristics of a family. This does not refer to a 'traditional' family, but also to the dysfunctional family, the family divided, the extended family and probably any other sort of family that one could devise as well. There is certainly a common denominator for all of us that explains our initial presence as a part of this family, but once involved, I see so often how people begin to interact with each other in ways totally apart from that commonality that we all have. These differences are many but I am thinking today of the ability of CERB members to support each other in the same way as families members might do. I have seen so many examples of this in the past year where people who have never met each other, and in all likelihood never will meet each other have gone out of their ways to help another member. I have seen the genuine welcomes made to new members. I have seen the assistance provided to those who are finding their way through this maze called CERB. I have seen the authentic best wishes sent for birthdays and milestones. I have seen people reach out to those who are in trouble, be it those who are fighting an addiction or those who are trying to cope with a death in their circle of friends or family or those who are fighting an illness or other personal trauma. Something as simple as sending a hug when it is deemed necessary, or sending a personal PM or email at just that "right" time can make a difference to someone else. I can see or sense how the determination and ability of individuals members to cope in certain situations can and has inspired others. For myself, CERB has become a family in its own right. There are only a few here who truly know how much they have helped me. In many cases members probably cannot even think that I might be referring to them when I say that or be able to think of what they said or did that impacted me in such a profound way. Sometimes we as individuals do not realize or are never made aware of just how important a little personal gesture can be in making someone feel better or even how that simple gesture might turn a persons life around for the better. Do you recall the young fellow who got that hot air balloon ride, largely due to the CERB members and the initiative of Chanel Reign with her Random Act of Kindness thread. That is something that he shall always remember. The CERB family makes a difference in so many ways. Good on the CERB family.

1 pointI listen intently to what they have to say and what they found interesting about it. A big part of being a good friend is being a good listener and they must be my friend for other reasons than our common interest in something I don't like. I've been handed books, "Oh you've got to read this!". So I will and if I am bored after a few pages I return the book and when they ask if I liked it, I'm honest enough to tell them the truth, "Sorry, guess it's just not for me" or if it's truly something I'm not interested in, I won't even take the book, I'll confess right away that it's not something I'd be interested in reading. But I always listen to why I should bother and then decide for myself, sometimes they are so right! And when they aren't, they'll still be my friend (because I'm a good listener and honest).

1 pointI had the wonderful opportunity to meet with the amazing Penelope this week! It was a very unexpected but pleasant surprise when she said she wanted to come to Winnipeg and it will definately be one of my highlights of 2012 :) After a slight hiccup in travel plans ;) I met her mid-evening at the airport. Pen is a beautiful lady so I certainly had no problem picking her out in the crowd !! We eventually got to her hotel thanks to the annoying lady's voice giving us directions from my GPS unit ......only one or two missed turns, a couple side streets but we made it ! I checked and no claw marks in the passenger side dash of my truck !! We checked in and both hit the tub to clean up after long a long day on the road. During my shower I was finally I was able to relax and my nervousness subsided......threw on a towel and walked out of the bathroom and saw the stunning Penelope standing there in all her beauty !! So much for not nervous and being relaxed !!! The nervousness, the butterflys they were back big time ! I was virtually trembling. I put my hands on her face, pulled her close and we kissed and then hugged and I felt like I was exactly where I was meant to be at this very moment in my life.... and all the butterflys floated away ! For the next couple hours I was to find out just what a wonderful lady Pen is, what an amazing and responsive lover she is, did I say amazing !! and simply felt like I was in heaven :D We were now into the wee hours of the next morning so under the covers we crawled, snuggled up and I enjoyed the moment while Penelope drifted off to sleep. I slept some but kept waking up and looking over at her to make sure I wasn't dreaming ! heh heh We spent serveral hours the next day, hanging out, doing a little of this and a little of that ;) and really just enjoyed each others company !! This experience folks has genuinely given me a whole new perspective to the term GFE !! Thanks Pen! The time came to say goodbye and man that was difficult for me ! We kissed and hugged and said goodbye but to me it wasn't goodbye but ..... "till we meet again" Thanks Penelope for making the long trek to Winnipeg, for the ohhh so amazing visit and for the fond memories and a day in my life that I will honestly never ever forget !! :)

1 pointMore important than whether a woman has implants or not, is whether the breasts suit her body. The implants I tend not to care for are when a woman with a petite frame goes way too big, to the point where they just don't suit her body type anymore. I suppose porn has also created an image of what a breast enhancement "should" look like. Rather than fake, or balloons, maybe there should be a category of porn star breasts. At the end of the day, the woman should do what suits her and makes her feel good. I'll just sit back and continue to admire!!!

1 pointSoul-crushing, indeed! The statistics on job happiness speak for themselves. Most notably that a shocking 87% of people who only stayed in a job (often government) for the pension kick the bucket before they cash their first pension cheque. The only thing you should ever want is happiness. (And less materialism will allow you more freedom, but these days everyone mistakes happiness for a big tv or fast car.) It takes all kinds to make the world go 'round, and there's a niche for everyone. True happiness comes from fulfillment, and fulfillment has nothing to do with materialism and everything to do with living each day fully, with joy, and in harmony with your true nature. And be aware that who we are may not be who we wanted to be. (I've run into this with friends a few times.) Posted via Mobile Device

1 pointI work with the union, they want to binding arbitration, but the company wants nothing to do with it. The company wants to get drivers from quebec to come over here...and phase out NB drivers. At least that's what union is saying.

1 pointI agree with you completely. De Niro is, of course, fabulous in everything. But this is a very underrated action film. In my opinion in compares nicely with similar movies that get a lot more attention, like the Bourne films. No gimmicks, fancy toys, super spies, etc. Good plot, De Niro being tough, and some great action sequences. Additional Comments: Another largely overlooked film by a huge Hollywood name. I've always liked this Mel Gibson film, even though I'm not a huge Gibson fan.

1 pointThe two fellas are correct in their contributions. NEVER let yourself be bullied, pressured into something you are not OK with. And be yourself and have fun. Money is nice but it is not the only thing important when being an SP or the clients who sees them. There are many wonderful Ladies who we enjoy their company, intellect, and attributes...:)))))
