Morning All. Again, to all my Cerb Family, thank you for the continued support, prayers and best wishes, it means a lot! Sooooo, as most of you know, I went to the Cancer Clinic at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbour to see if they had any ideas on how to fuck this cancer up. Got stuck with lots of needles, probes, scans and ended up pissing in technocolour (with the help of alcohol), see previous post...or not!. There was a conference call yesterday afternoon, with myself and the local docs, plus the docs from Toronto and Michigan. Here is the result: -The cancer that attacked the muscle around the shoulder is rare (around 1 in 750 cancer patients have this type floating around) but not so rare they were scratching their heads. -It spread, however the good news is it missed the lymph nodes under the arm (which would have meant a very short game plan for me!!!) -However it has spread to the lymph nodes in the neck and the muscle that surrounds the spinal cord (medulla oblongata?) that interfaces with the brain stuff. Bottom line, they have deemed it stage 3, with minimal options with significant, severe consequences including looking like a zombie with major holes cut out (unless Walking Dead is going for another couple of seasons and they need a new leading zombie !) . So will continue with chemo about every eight to twelve weeks to try and slow it down, rest whenever, and live life LARGE until I can't function any more, hopefully 3-5 years, worse case 18-24 months. So unless I get hit by a bus or swallowed up by a City of Ottawa sinkhole, or die in bed because of being drowned by Cerb ladies continuously squirting in my face for three continuous days (the CIA should have done this to the Taliban instead of water boarding!!) I will be around Cerb and you good folks until I can't play any more. THE OTHER GOOD NEWS.....IS THAT MY TONGUE STILL AND WILL CONTINUE TO FUNCTION UNTIL I AM PUT INTO THE GROUND!!!!!! This weekend will be spent telling family and friends in Southern Ontario what is going on and probably drinking lots of 30 year old Macallum single malt scotch. Well, that is it for now! Maybe if you're lucky, you won't get robbed or beat up and will end up in one piece, unharmed. How much (and not just talking about money here) are you willing to risk for a pretty picture on the net? Gentlemen, stop looking with your dicks and start thinking with your (big) head! I apologize if this offends anyone but what else can be said? Please play safe!!

It really does depend on the provider. I am an email person, I send an introduction which is a small book if you're on a handheld but it contains just about everything you need to know plus links for other information. I prefer a gentleman spend a minute and send a reply with a bit of detail about himself, what he's looking for and any other questions. I will exchange emails after an appointment is booked as my time permits if the flow of communication is engaging. I have cancelled appointments because the emails presented red flags that weren't displayed during the initial booking emails so it can help with my screening. Inquiries that continue to ask questions already answered in prior communications are deemed Askholes and written off. Guests who insist on over communicating between appointments are at times annoying simply because of time constraints on my end. If I see someone 4 times a year but receive emails weekly, then it's disproportional to the relationship we have but I have several who have more than earned the privilege of daily communication and it's something I enjoy and look forward to. The better the client, the more time I'm willing to invest answering the comm's. In my books, a WOT is an actual time waster. Booking an appointment then rescheduling, moving the time, cancelling and rebooking etc. These are Wafflemeisters in my books. Move an appointment more than once and I raise an eyebrow. The next time I put a yellow flag on it, one more then I'm out. Wafflemeisters are second cousins to Twatwaffles from the far reaches of the Ozarks and not people I need to entertain. Ever. Be aware of the relationship you have with your provider and that will guide you in the communication style she prefers. If you haven't met her yet, then keep it simple and concise... cat

This is just my perspective so for what it's worth;) The only rules I EXPECT from all clients are to respect my guidelines/boundaries, those are usually discussed in our first email/conversation, be polite and clean:) Anything beyond that is subjective and relative to chemistry. With some gents I may interact and enjoy a lot of messages before and after meeting, others a few, and so on. I'm pretty laid back, not terribly structured, more go with the flow. Or that's what I'm learning I'm better at:) I would suspect every lady is going to react and expect different things, messages and ways of communicating, from each gentlemen, but perhaps I shouldn't speculate. I love all that goes with each of the holidays but I agree being timely is important. Decorating to early is annoying. December is for Christmas, October-thanksgiving and Halloween, March-April is Easter and November is for remembering, that's how I see it:)

Cristy, yeah you're probably right. It's likely not a numbers thing and the interaction will likely be as individual as the people having it. Some ladies with some clients or potential clients might choose to engage in a variety of back and forth scenarios as long as it appeared that things were moving in the direction of a date. Also, Realnicehat had a good point that struck to the "intent" of the communications with the lady. If the intent is genuine with the ultimate purpose honestly being that the client intends to see the lady then perhaps it's not a factor of numbers either. Thanks for the contributions.

Yup! Much older men have always fascinated me because sometimes... just sometimes, you can get them talking afterwards. And they tell you about things you won't find in any history book. They were there and lived it. When I first started, back in the 70s, I was privileged to listen to men who'd lived through the Great Depression, WWII, and survived the Holocaust. My soon-to-be 90 friend was an adolescent on the verge of manhood in Holland during WWII and told of how his parents had to hide him and his brothers from the Nazis, who rounded up young men and sent them to labour camp. Another friend told me of eating mashed parsnips mixed with isoamyl acetate (blech!) to make a sort of fake bananas, they were so desperate for any food variety in Ireland during WWII. One of my earliest regulars was a sweet little old man (who's eyeballs were just about at nipple level on me). He'd done well for himself in commercial real estate but was almost pathologically cheap. He also _always_ had food stashed away in his pockets. A half eaten sandwich. A bit of pastry. It was kinda gross. One day I asked him about it, and he explained that he'd lived through the Depression. He was just a kid, but his family had it rough. A fear of being hungry never left him. One thing that impresses me in many of these personal accounts is the resiliency of humans, and I realize just how lucky I was to be born in the exact time and place I was. Twenty or more years, one way or another, or a few thousand miles made a whopping difference in the opportunities I could expect.

An sp can legally refuse to engage in sexual activity with anyone they choose, regardless of the reasons. The question of whether an sp can legally refuse to see clients of a specific ethnicity also applies to whether they can legally refuse to see clients of certain cultures, nationalities, religion, age, gender, size, hygiene, manners, ability to follow instructions, reputation, previous contact... Every reason that's ever been discussed on CERB. You name it! They are legally justified. The Canadian Human Rights Act prohibits the "denial of service" based upon "race, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, family status, disability...". Therefore if you only look at the Canadian Human Rights Act, you might think an sp cannot refuse to provide service to a client based upon race. However it's not that simple. Regardless of what the Canadian Human Rights Act says, neither the state nor a client can compel an sp to have sex with someone they don't want to have sex with. Why? Because compelling/forcing someone to engage in sexual activity conflicts with the sexual assault provisions of the Criminal Code of Canada. When there's a conflict between the Canadian Human Rights Act and the Criminal Code of Canada, the Criminal Code takes precedence. The Criminal Code protects the person who doesn't "consent" or want to engage in sexual activity, regardless of what their reasons are for not consenting. Even if their reasons for not consenting conflict with the Canadian Human Rights Act, they are protected by the Criminal Code. The harm caused by legally forcing someone to have sex against their will is greater than the harm caused by denying sex to a prospective client. The Criminal Code of Canada provisions for sexual assault require that "consent" be given when engaging in sexual activity. Sexual activity without "consent",regardless of why consent is withheld, is sexual assault. The Criminal Code also states that "Consent" "requires the voluntary agreement... to engage in the sexual activity in question." If an sp felt legally "obliged", "compelled" or "forced" to engage in sexual activity with someone because of the Canadian Human Rights Act they would be engaging in sexual activity under "duress". In other words, there would be no "voluntary agreement... to engage in the sexual activity." This is the very definition of sexual assault. This is also a good example of why "No means no." Not, "No means no... but only if you have a good reason." There's a fundamental principle at work here. Neither the state nor another individual can compel us to do something with our bodies that we do not want to do, regardless of whether our reasons are reasonable or unreasonable. This is a very good thing!

I lived the above experience once and I will never do it again, I don't care if it's illegal to discriminate or not. I will continue to screen my clients as I see fit and if I want to post an ad that contains a "DON'T BOTHER CONTACTING ME IF ANY OF THIS APPLIES TO YOU" list, I will... cat

Do you think because a lady is racist she should be pressured into having sex with someone she doesn't want to see, that she loses the right to control her body including who she shares it with RG and essentially, this is what it boils down to. nobody should be forced to have sex with someone they don't want to have sex with. i don't care that you consider SP's to be a business like any other business. it will NEVER be like any other business. so you can't have the same rules/regulations regarding discrimination apply to this!
