It's more of a newbie mistake on my part. I was ignorant and unexperienced to many of possible threats one may come across as a independent provider. I didn't really consider that I came to become independent when I was ready too. I had several years experience working at winnipeg's upscale massage parlour that wasn't full service. Despite my many ups and downs over those years, I gained what I consider to be priceless experience learning types of clients, and ways to get along and or enjoy all sorts of different men's personalities and company. Without realizing it I gained valuable insight on little things to avoid and heard many experiences in general chit chat with multiple co workers over those years. I even miss my old boss, even though back then I was fired and rehired more times then I would like to admit, he was like a father figure, always giving me heck for not saving for school or a car. I didn't put much thought into darker elements of the industry or that some woman arent as fortunate in their experiences. I lack the competitive nature of many. I also lucked out and am very blessed to have attracted positive clients who were kind enough to share their experiences with other great clients. Having said that I am not ignorant to the fact that their are other woman who have suffered unfair reviews by disgruntled men for all sorts of reasons. Many likely pushed a boundary, and got mad at the result. Several indiv. tried to slander me with fake reviews and stories, and again I lucked out despite completely freaking out on them while waiting for mods to wake up and remove their late night posts. A few were even banned. I have never allowed myself to bullied, shamed or lied about on the other erb site. So many other others haven't been as fortunate. I feel for the providers as I honestly think many may not have deserved as much negative attention as they may receive. Everytime something negative is posted it is potentially a hit to her income, and some guys can't read a mention of a lady, even if it is positive and appears she may gained a better understanding as to what works for her and her clients, without slandering her name. I could of easily had things turn out the same way on several attempts to hurt my reputation as a provider. Most woman join this industry inexperienced and aren't as fortunate avoiding bad clients and or aware these boards to refer to. Here in winnipeg, I truly wish to see less bullying towards the providers. More respect and acceptance for individual restrictions, rates and WAY MORE DISCRETION! It isn't unheard of that we are sent copies of pm's between pooners and I got to tell you, SHARING OUR LOCATIONS AND EVEN AREA PUTS US AT CONSIDERABLE RISK. If you wouldn't want us doing it to you then don't do it to us. I lost my condo and literally everything I had worked for. I look forward to a new adventure in a new city. I know I would not be in this position except to lead me to bigger and better things. And I thank all the gentlemen I've met here and will miss many of you! Additional Comments: I would like to point out, that I am entertaining low volume from upscale hotels that frequently change all over winnipeg before my adventure. I've always been a prankster, love it:) As long as they're innocent that is. One I've heard of and have yet to do is at Christmas take a new car for a test drive, put a big bow on it drive to the targets house beep and have them come out, letting them think that's their Xmas gift, then leave laughing. we need more Marsha's out there, our oldest son is mixed and in todays society he still hears the racist comment and he only 23 and the comments all come when he leaves our small town to go to Ottawa or Toronto and especially when he is with his white GF. I recently was approached via text by someone who knew NOTHING about my services, they even asked "how does this work?" Now, my ads here on cerb don't leave a whole lot of room for questions unanswered, that's why I write my ad the way I do so that I won't have to spend half my day only answering PMs about myself and my services. Now, having questions isn't what concerns me here, what does concern me is that this person was simply given my telephone # and told "contact her for good BJ".... Road Trip! I have not been off of the Island since early December and I am ready to go walkabout! Being an escort already IS legal. I pay my taxes as an escort - it's CRA industry code: Other personal services (including Online psychic, escorts, dating, party planning, personal shopping) - 81290. I am also registered for HST and 13% tax is included in my rates. I hatehatehate the assumption that escorts dont pay taxes. I am a self-employed woman running a legal business, and I pay my taxes just like any other business owner.

I've refused greek. Twice. There really was no 'good reason' for it, besides that as soon as we began, it HURT. For one, I returned the greek premium. The other, I kept it for a future session. In one instance, I believe we still had a great encounter. The other, I know he was disappointed. But this IS where 'YMMV' comes in. I offer that service. I think this has been brought up before, although perhaps it was on another thread, but you cannot have any legal contract that forces a person to perform a sexual act, or that punishes him or her for failing to perform that act. There are other rights that take precedence over contract law. So in terms of talking about a legal contract that can be enforced, I don't believe there can be one. In terms of compensation made to the client if a discussed act was not performed, I think that is fair if the provider agrees that the decision not to offer the service was not the fault of the client. I think it is a matter of reputation and professionalism on the part of the provider that is in her best interest. I also think that most clients are good people who don't deserve to go in with understandable expectations and then feel that they were deliberately misled and swindled. But I also think that the SP in question is the one best able to determine whether or not delivery of services was reasonable under the circumstances. I don't think forcing her to prove, somehow, to some kind of enforcement agency that she couldn't reasonably be expected to perform the act is possible. Putting someone in the position where they have to prove the impossible (how can she prove he was rude, or not clean?), or face punishment of some kind (financial, in this case) would leave a sense that a provider must do what sexual acts she's told or else. Especially when most contracts are apparently verbal. How does she prove she didn't agree to what he says she did? I assume the onus would be on him, but hopefully you see what I am aiming at. Talking about enforcing contracts leaves a lot of room for abuse and intimidation. Even if the contract is written (in emails, for example), in terms of enforcing that, how does a client prove that he did, in fact, have impeccable hygiene, or that he did not act offensively toward the provider? He's not any better able to prove his side of things than she is. As other's have pointed out, even if it were a contract enforcible by law, which I believe it isn't, there is so much he said/she said that I don't see any way to make a fair decision. And in terms of the decision, if a woman promises uncovered oral over the phone, and then declines during the encounter, what would one sue for? A $20 refund? $10 000 for mental anguish, including loss of self esteem? Again, I don't think potential punishment should hang over the head of a woman you are asking to perform sexual services for you. I understand that legal contracts were brought up to point out that there should be some protection for the client when contracting services, or simply out of curiously for how it would play out given the changing laws. But I am very, very uncomfortable with talk of enFORCING that sexual services be delivered. I do wish there were a way, other than doing a lot of research (I understand that sometimes anyone might want to make an impulse purchase of services with a feeling of safety) that would give clients some kind of guarantee that their money will be well-spent and their encounter will unfold as they hope. But whenever I look at punishing someone for not delivering sexual services it just gets a bit of a rapey vibe for me. Weighing the loss of money vs coercion to perform sexual acts, I find the loss on money is less bad. And I hold to that even as a client, since I sometimes see female MAs myself. I completely understand that clients feel they are always left without sympathy or recourse, so I hope this post hasn't sounded confrontational or, I don't know, lecturing. I'm just trying to show that the idea of having an enforcible contract in practice is not really workable.

This is not a new thread topic and in fact has been open several times. Most downtown hotels are SP friendly. The Marriott on Kent and the new Delta (old Crowne Plaza) are good because you can enter from the mall or parking underneath and never go past the front desk. As for not discussing, it has been discussed at length. I have worked in at least one of the hotels mentioned earlier in the thread, and they know who the working people are, and really don't care as long as you don't cause issues. They want the room full, not empty.

Dress for success. In my line of work, it's casual wear. So often on my home from work, if I stop at the club, I'm dressed casually. Not dirty, it's not physical work, but jeans and t-shirt kind of casual. Most of the times the odd new dancer will come up to me, but the majority of the time it's only the girls who've danced with me before and know I'm not a cheap arse who will come see me. But on the few occasions that I've been dressed semi-formally (dress pants as opposed to jeans, shirt tucked in as oppose to hanging out), they flocked towards me. It's sad to say, but just having money is not enough, you have to LOOK like you have money too.
