So here it is.. the question that I have not seen on here yet, but a question that should come up often and should be openly and comfortably talked about with out prejudice. This question is open to all. How Often do you get tested? As you know..sex work in Ontario is not yet legal. So given that information, there is no mandatory testing done in order to obtain, or even maintain employment in this industry, like with other countries such as Australia and Europe for some quick examples. And even lesser, there is absolutely nothing mandatory required of a client. Because I consider myself to be a professional, I only practice the in safest ways possible in order to assure my own sexual health. I believe when you work with your body you should be a specialist in safety. I don't play roulette with my health, take no chances and have in past refused clients with ill hygiene. ( yes even just for a HJ, ) I Personally get tested every 3 months, with anonymous HIV testing and annual pap tests (for women only). Because Yes, I am sexually active in my personal life. The massage service I provide does not necessarily increase my risk, although it could, I understand the importance of safety because I have a high standard of courtesy and respect fir my self my clients, and whom ever may be in my personal life. In other countries the workers check for visual signs of disease ( STI'S ) using a flashlight and wash you down with a hospital grade soap. As well as (for sex workers) use condoms dental dams, and some get tested as often as weekly!! Although this is a serious topic, I want to emphasise that I believe sexual activities should be fun and enjoyable !! So back to my question A. "how often do you get tested" ? Follow up questions: B. Do you believe sexual activity with sex workers increases your chances of receiving STI'S? MA or SP. C. Is it safer then say, a girl you pick up at a bar ?? D. Do you think the average woman or man should take the same precautions ? E. How have you been pro-active about your health lately?

This is a great topic. I have to admit that I do not get regularly tested because I do not do high risk activities; full sexual intercourse is where there is the real risk of STI's. I prefer reverse massage, body slides and hand jobs because these are negligible risk activities. I try not to get paranoid. You could get a cold sore from sharing a cigarette or you could get shingles from accidentally using someone else's towel at the gym. To be totally safe, you would have to walk around in a hazmat suit. However, if I were to have sex, I would take testing seriously. People who have a one-night stand with someone whom they meet at the nightclub are taking a bigger risk than people who do sexual activities with an SP. Coincidentally, I have recently spoken to several young adults about the topic of STI's. I had assumed that young adults in their twenties would be well informed about the prevention of STI's. I was shocked to talk to young women who use the pill or an IUD but do not use a condom when having a one-night stand. I was shocked to hear young men casually laugh about having picked up chlamydia from a one-night stand. The average man and woman in the nightclub is at great danger of contracting a deadly STI. One-night stands happen between people who are too drunk to consider using condoms or too drunk to use condoms properly. Hobbyists and SP's are aware of what our relationship is. The hobbyist respects that the SP is providing a professional service and that there is a protocol to follow.

Due to my cancer treatments, they take blood from me every two weeks anyway so I just tell them to check while they are at it. I have always made sure to be checked once a month anyway, since I've always played more outside of the hobby. If you are sexually active with more than one partner, I would always suggest getting checked on a regular basis.

To add to what the ever charming Lexy said, the past thread about her and her dubious practices is enough of a deterrent. There are enough well-established companions in HRM who are highly recommendable and don't play tricks on you. No need to feel all excited every time a newcomer shows up around the corner. Dearest Ladies and Gentlemen, I was out to dinner with a very close friend this past March when she received a phone call from her young adult son. She was shocked to hear that he was in kidney failure and rushed to the hospital. He was immediately put on dialysis and diagnosed with end-stage renal disease. His kidneys were functioning at 5%. While the dialysis is saving his life in the meantime, his quality of life is greatly reduced as is his life expectancy. He has had to leave his job and must be at the hospital for 5 hours 3x a week. There are no vacations from dialysis. He is on the waiting list to receive a kidney transplant from a deceased donor. He has been told that the wait in Ontario can be 5-10 years. In order to maximize his life expectancy and improve the quality of his life, it's important to get a transplant as soon as possible. While the kidney of a deceased donor is a wonderful gift, the kidney of a living donor both works better and lasts longer. His mother was screened to be a kidney donor and does not qualify. At this time, he has no one who is both willing and qualified to donate. At the beginning of April, I offered my kidney. I passed the initial screening over the phone, and filled out the initial paperwork. Everything looked great and I was sent for bloodwork to determine if I'm a match. I AM!!!! I've now filing out stage 2 paperwork and will have to go for numerous tests to make sure that I am in perfect health. While it's not yet for sure that I can donate, as I "pass" each step, it feels more and more real that I could be in surgery this coming winter to have a kidney removed! I've done extensive research and am not nervous about the actual surgery. I will likely be out of it for a month or two, but that's something I can deal with. I have no children and as of January 2015, I will be done my coursework for my Master's and will need only to work on my thesis. This makes it easy to take a month or so off. I just need to work hard in advance :) What does worry me a bit is that I will have a scar after the surgery. The way I see personal integrity is that you will make decisions and abide by your beliefs or what you feel is right at the given moment you are faced with a decision. Most of us are constantly learning or getting new information about things, so therefore our opinions and beliefs can change with each new piece of information. If someone seemingly contradicts an earlier statement or belief it doesn't necessarily mean they have no integrity, it may simply mean they have gotten some new information that has caused them to see things differently, or change what they believe. They may also face a choice in which there is no option that allows them to be perfectly true to their beliefs, so they are forced to choose the option closest to what they believe, even if that may appear to an outsider as them going against what the outsider has perceived that person's beliefs to be. The other thing to think of is this: many people seem to link personal integrity with morality. Morality is something altogether different than personal integrity in my opinion. If someone is completely self-centred and only believes in doing what is best for themselves even at the expense of others, and then makes decisions based on that, it doesn't mean they have no integrity. If they are consistent in always doing this, even while hurting others, they are still acting on their convictions, therefore they still have personal integrity.

I know some people love brand name items and therefore use the brand name to refer to said item, but purrsonally I can't stand it. Here's the thing... NONE of us have the personal integrity that we think we have. We sympathize and empathize with so many damn things be it the end to poverty, racial equality, gender equality, world peace, mental illness or whatever... but each of us is sitting here on this board trying to figure out how to spend money on sex. That's NOT a bad thing. That $200 -$1500 or whatever you are spending could put clothes on someone's back. It could put groceries in someone's kitchen. It could go a long way into the treatment or cure for heart disease, cancer, HIV/AIDS, drug addiction, mental illness. It could fund legal battles for all sorts of social issues. But you are spending that money on your PENIS. Now your money will help someone pay rent or mortgage or child care expenses. It will put food on someone's table. It will help make someone else's life a lot easier. That's not a bad thing. That's a really good thing. But it's not altruism. It's not charitable. It's a pay for play. It's funding a small business. It's a mutually beneficial relationship. Now... tell me again about integrity. We have high ideals and beliefs about getting things right in the world and we go out and blow money on getting blown. It's not just politicians. It's not just the police or the church or public employees or anyone else you want to target as having no integrity. It's all of us. So when you point the finger of criticism at people remember there are 3 fingers on that same hand pointing right back at you (unless you are a contortionist and deliberately point your finger like some kind of circus freak.) Bottom line? We all compromise our personal integrity. We all compromise our ethical integrity. We may not even think of it... we may be so goal oriented that we are oblivious to the fact that we do and say things that are so contrary to what we believe. It's much harder to stand back and judge when you put things in perspective. Out of this context, think of it this way. When you walk to Tim Hortons on a break and the homeless guy asks for spare change does your personal integrity win or does your thirst for a coffee win?

There is no "reguler rate " for tips as nobody knows what others tip. You say you tip the highest but don't say the amount. Some say we should tip the same as the room fee (session fee ) and have seen someone post that it should be the room fee plus 50%. Some places like Nevadas tries to set the tip amount but they cannot control that. In this business YMMV often influences what we are willing to tip and whether to repeat. Many will create a business relationship as a regular client and not worry what others tip. it can spoil the relationship you have but on the other hand when seeing someone new you do wonder what should the tip be. i am more on the generous side, like many on here state, but If someone tries to gouge me I never repeat.
