A Companion's Age And Photos
Phaedrus replied to roamingguy's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Using very old photos and never updating your age does seem to be a short-sighted approach. I'd have thought that anyone who books based on that is likely to be somewhat surprised when the meeting happens, and even if it's not a deal-breaker at the time it probably reduces the chance of subsequent repeat visits. It also means that clients who might be looking for someone a little older will stay away. And so you end up with the wrong clients visiting just once, and the right ones never showing up at all. This doesn't strike me as a good long-term strategy. Of course, if someone's business is mostly regulars who have been seeing her for years, the fact that she hasn't updated her age or pics probably doesn't matter in the slightest. -

Scandalous ;)

This article really pisses me off. The point of it - such as it is - seems to be that her previous behaviour in the legal profession crossed some lines and some folks think that she shouldn't be a lawyer as a result. If what's alleged about that is true... well, they may have a point, but I'm not 100% convinced that's a newsworthy story. The only point of this article seems to be that the aspiring lawyer in question is also an escort. That has absolutely no bearing on her legal abilities, but it allows a lazy journalist to write a story with some titillation for the masses and a clickbait headline. It sounds like she's already out publicly as being an escort, but what good does outing her further achieve? -
There's no harm in following up after a couple of days (or even a full day), I think, provided you do it right. "Hey, I was wondering if you got my mail" is OK. "Why didn't you reply to me?" will make you look like an entitled asshole, which is probably not what you want :)

I've never liked Facebook much, because of its relentless harvesting of data about its users. I still use it somewhat, but only for my real life stuff, and I'm careful about what I post there.

Canada Netfix makes me so mad !!!!
Phaedrus replied to Alisonxox's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Be aware that content providers are starting to block VPN exits, precisely because a lot of people are using VPNs to get around geographical restrictions. And piracy, having declined for a while, is on the rise again. Most people are honest and are willing to pay for things, but if you refuse to sell it to them, they'll get it another way... -
Brass is massage, and you've posted in the escorts section, so it may not be what you're after... How far are you prepared to travel? Are you stuck downtown, or do you have wheels?

I am done with this site.
Phaedrus replied to Meg O'Ryan's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
It would be great if people could explain *why* it's not easy to navigate, or what would make it easier. And also say whether this is using a phone or a more traditional browser. At the moment it's clear there's a problem, but not at all clear what the problem is... which will make it *very* hard to fix. -
HAMILTON, Ontario

My understanding is that the plan was always to do this sort of thing in the middle of the term. Too soon and it looks like it was a huge priority and they'll get attacked for it; too late and you get the controversy dragging into the election campaign. "Take a good hard look at" in this case probably means "forget about". Unfortunately. -
Congratulations, Cato! You've contributed a lot over the years :)

I haven't noticed a lot of fake pics, here at least. Sure, a lot are cleaned up a bit and flatteringly posed, but that's not the same as fake. And the reputable Ottawa spas and indies use the same, real pics everywhere they advertise. The Asian agencies always used to have a reputation for doing a *lot* of airbrushing on their pics, but that was kinda known by everyone. I assume things haven't changed there. Also: referring to providers who might not be to your liking as gorillas or hobgoblins is not a good way to introduce yourself to everyone else on the board.

It sounds like the OP had enough money on him at the time to pay the extra that the MA wanted. It strikes me that this was somewhat fortunate - there's no guarantee that a client will bring more than they're expecting to pay. I can't help but think that this could have turned out worse if that hadn't been an option.

As the others have said, she shouldn't have dinged you for extra. It reminds me of VIP visits at SCs where the number of songs is always higher than you reckon for, which is why I don't go to SCs any more :)

CMJ opening Downtown studio next month?
Phaedrus replied to hopeful's topic in Ottawa Discussion - Massage
CMJ's outcall service. ...at the end of a night's drinking. Probably a high risk of undesirable incidents if they cater to that crowd... -
The right thing to do would be to post in the scams/warnings forum for the appropriate city.

Alternative for backpage for US cities
Phaedrus replied to Rambler1980's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I have no idea. But I believe things in the US are sometimes regional (same here, for that matter) so it might be useful if you said where you were going. -
Facebook and connections you don't want
Phaedrus replied to Phaedrus's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
VPNs are certainly an important part of this, but they don't come close to being the whole story. You'd also have to have completely separate browsers for FB and for other use, at the very least, to avoid tracking via cookies and other methods (these don't rely on the IP address you're using). And you might need more than that (separate machines, VMs, or things like Tails) to avoid things like LSOs that are stored on the machine as a whole Another issue: AFAIK VPNs are much harder to use from a phone, and accessing everything from your phone is a primary source of the kind of tracking that we're talking about here. Even if you use one, a VPN doesn't help if your phone is tracking your location at all times (and most people have location tracking turned on and don't think about it). If all that sounds complicated... you're right, it is! That's why most people don't do anything about it, and companies like Facebook and Google continue to know everything about everyone. Also: there are much better sources of information for this stuff than random Chinese websites (that's where topvpn100 is probably based, from the whois data, and it's clearly written by someone who has English as a second language). -
I've never met either Brody or this lady, but they definitely don't look the same to me...

In general: hands only. No oral, no FS. Many MAs are fine with you giving as well as receiving when it comes to hands, but not all, so ask if in doubt.

I'd noticed Farrah on Twitter, and been intrigued by some of her posts. It took me a while to actually go and see her... but I finally made it. I found she's very open and easy to chat to, and we talked about various things while she gave me a massage and I admired the view in the big mirrors that they have installed at Paradise. After a while the massage became... not so much a massage as prolonged and exquisite teasing, and... ohhhhh, she's good at the teasing! By the time she asked me to turn over I was more than ready for... exactly what I didn't get, because Farrah continued to slowly dial up the levels of anticipation. Eventually, yes, things came to an inevitable conclusion, with enough time for us both to jump in the shower and clean up before it was time to leave. Already looking forward to seeing her again, and I think it won't be long before I do!

So, the problem is... go to his profile (or anyone's) and under the reputation score there's a little "See reputation activity" link. Click that, and you get to a mostly blank page. There's some totals on the left for reactions given/received, but the main body of the page is empty. It looks like it ought to be a log of those reactions like the activity log, but without things like posts, quotes, etc, I'd guess? Yours is empty too. Mine has one entry in it from when someone liked a post I made on their profile, but there's nothing from the forums anywhere and I suspect there probably should be. I've just put a test post on your profile - could you hit the like button on it (or something) so we can see if that shows up in the reputation activity on your profile and/or mine? Edit: Thanks! That shows up in the reputation activity on both our profiles...
-
Sort of. Some of it is discussion of how things used to work. The real problem is that nobody quite knows how it works now :) On "reputation activity"... on the left you can see all the totals of stuff you've given and received. The main bit of the page... I have one entry, and it's for something that I posted on someone else's profile, so it may well be that the software that generates that list isn't looking at the forums for activity... which sounds like a bug to me. I'll drop Cerbmod a PM about it and maybe it'll get fixed someday... although this kind of thing may not be all that urgent :)
