  1. I'd have to pick The Cat People The Lost Boys Blade Runner (the 3 cd set is excellent) The Bourne Identity Ah, gotta love those 80's synth soundtracks....
  2. Pigalle usually picks up at about 10, at least the saturdays i've been there long enough. I was there on the 2nd late PM, and it was deadish. With people on vacation for the long weekend, it's not surprising. Same goes for wednesday this week. Seems like the heat kept people away ...
  3. Wether it's done in the regular CR or by renting a VIP room in clubs that have them (on the Quebec side), some clubs allow for a "fixed rate" (usually for the dancer's time and a fee for the room going to the club if you want to be more comfortable) if you take a dancer say for half an hour or an hour instead of charging a per song rate. Of course, this is done within the safety of the club and does not give licence for more than dances. On the Ottawa side that would not be possible because of the bylaws. Most dancers I know very well wont do "Outside of the club" dances as they consider the club their workplace and dancing their regular work, with a regular schedule. Some work daytime and a have things to do in the evening, while others work evening shift 6 days a week, some work part time to supplement their income. Megan, you bring good points. Dancers i know enjoy the company of good, polite clients but being there is always jerks, young excited clients, drunks etc ... especially late at night. Different shifts, different clientele ..... I also agree that organizing anything within the walls of a club (even for meeting outside the club) with a dancer is asking for trouble for everyone, including the club (solliciting, a dancer taking business away from the club etc...). Regulars i know would not do this as to not jeopardise their jobs as dancers. Besides, clubs live off big groups and parties, like Bachelor's. Lastly, dancers are pretty private and don't advertise. They build clientele in the club and may keep in touch if they trust you enough, and i do mean trust with a big T. But in my experience this stays in the confines of the club.
  4. Do not want any misunderstanding, I mean outside the CR in the club, like striking a conversation at the bar ..... nothing else. She'd probably beat me silly if i insinuated otherwise ....
  5. Visited Barbs after work today. Moving from a building with AC into this heat, i needed a refreshing drink. The place was quiet, as expected for this time of day. Sat around a bit until Jessie came by. I had previously seen her a few weeks back. Went into the CR for a few songs. A lady caught my eye, but i did not have the chance to chat nor spent time with her .. An asian (chinese I would say) lady that went by the name of Lucy. For a next visit maybe ... And will have to arrange to spend time again with either LEah or Maude, it's been too long ....
  6. Maude is fantastic in and out of the CR. Was at Barbs earlier today after work, altough the place was quiet. Met JEssie for a second time.... Did not see Maude. She gets in later in the day-evening ...
  7. Zombie movies are great. I agree, Skidman, 28 days is pretty good for chills, so is the 2004 version of dawn of the dead. There are good ones and sot so good ones. The last ones i saw for the first time was Diary of the dead and more recently Zombieland. Not great, but good entertainment. If i had to pick just one, Dawn would be it .. Ah, Shaun of the dead, gotta love british humour, but not everybody likes it! I've read great things about World War Z .... There is even "pride and prejudice and zombies" (i think it's called) in book, but have yet to read either one. Still, Romero's movies are great commentaries on society... Have fun, Skidman, with your Zombie movie marathon
  8. Went to Pigale yesterday in the pm, in hope of surprising my regular dancer. Lo and behold, about two minutes of being in, there she is! There were a few evening-night regulars who decided to do a double as to not "waste time" tonight as they expected it would be too quiet, and that the club only opens at 7pm. Among regulars i know, there was Brooklyn (never had a dance from her, but cute dark haired lady, english speaker, perky personality), the lovely Brianna (muscular legs, but not too much, nice bod, very sweet), the always smiling and laughing Sarah, as well as Jenna. There were one out of towner (tall blonde, french speaker from Quebec city i think). I was pointed to Olive during a discussion i had with my regular dancer, but never met her formally. None of the other dancers i know well were in as they are out of town, and making the trip in would not be as beneficial financially for them, this being a slower week and a half, it seems, with St-jean Baptiste last weekend and now Canada day week end. Speaking of which, happy Canada Day to all!
  9. I stopped at Pigale yesterday PM, at around 2. The place was pretty quiet due to Canada day. It got even quieter by 4 pm when i left. There were about as much dancers as patrons. Most of the house dancers that i know working evenings were there early in the PM as to avoid getting in today and avoid having to work tonight. Most expected tonight to be VERY quiet, as well as having a slow friday tomorrow. I wanted to surprise my regular dancer with a visit, and lo and behold i saw her about two minutes after stepping in. We relaxed, chatted a bit, and went downstairs to keep each other company. I'd be curious to see how busy clubs will be tonigth with the the celebrations going on... In any case, enjoy Canada Day!
  10. Has anybody seen the recent feature dancers being advertised at Pigales? Last advertised was a lady, a miss nude 2009 or 2010, i think. As anybody seen if there is another one being announced?
  11. Reports seem to be preliminary, but it may be closer to Ottawa. Epicenter seem to be close to Buckhingham, which would explain why we felt it well here. I'm sure as the day progresses, the data will be confirmed as to the where and how strong. We'll just wait and see, i'm sure it will be on the news all day long. Was felt from Quebec to Toronto to the states.
  12. 5,7 on the richter scale in montreal. They are talking about it now on RDI.
  13. Brianna is a nice woman, very friendly if you treat her right. I never had nor expected "high mileage" when with her. It's just not her "type". I have greatly enjoyed her company; sensuous time if you treat her right.
  14. Maya is back at Pigale. Haaa, that mediteranean look of hers ... plus a blast in the CR. Would love to spend time with her. I still have fond memories...
  15. Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and stories.
  16. They start checking at around that time, 8-9 oclock (weekdays), maybe later on weekends, as it gets busy closer to 10-11 from what i've seen. Not sure about last year.... I started going there only last fall. Most of the time they are pretty discrete.
  17. Hi SA, I agree that clubs like Pigale has become liberal (cant speak about Taboo as i havent been in years) during the day, but they do check the CR at night. I've seen the staff do regular rounds while in the CR. Once, i've even seen LE come by and do quick round.
  18. Great reminder Meg. In today's wold, It's waaayyy too easy to lose track of the really important stuff... enjoy life.
  19. Well said. Nothing better to brighten your day...
  20. I'm suspecting, and suspecting only (let's call it a theory) that some unaccompanied ladies heading to clubs may be looking for their SO and ... bring them home by the hear, causing the clubs to be careful as to avoid a scene????? Most ladies i've seen in clubs as client where either with a guy or with a group. I've also seen ladies visiting their ex-colleagues.
  21. That's probably GaBriela that you are describing. Pigale had the visit from two ladies based in Toronto originating from Hungary. Chatted with Gabriella last saturday. Interesting lady but did not hace a chance to spend time with her. Heard good things about her from a friend.....
  22. I agree about the spidey senses ... Served me right so far. And yes, 1963Kennedy, i know it! And it is treasured by all parties when that chemistry is there.
  23. Out of curiosity, i've started a new thread to initiate discussions : http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=28681 Thoughts are welcomed, especially from the ladies. Business approaches may differ from SC to MA to SP, but nonetheless i think it would be interesting to read about different viewpoints.
  24. A recent thread started yesterday about being contacted out of the blue by an SP brought a question I had from the back to the front of my mind: Many dancers have more or less regular shifts, and most that i know do not post. With hardly any SC's website being active, how do you keep in touch with your favorite(s) dancers aside of popping to the club when you want to visit? Over time, I was offered phone numbers (or private e-mail address) and was asked mine in some instances as to "keep in touch" via text messaging (i.e. text me if you want to stop by, i'll make sure to wait OR text me to ask me if-when i'll be in town). Of course, the occasional text or e-mail from a lady confirming a schedule was made on prior agreement, without the expectation that i would be able to visit. The occasional thank you note is always appreciated for the time spent together. The ladies i know seem to appreciate it as much as a return visit. So far, i've had no abuse and haven't abused this privilege. Trust is acquired on both sides for this to work. So, opinions? Thoughts? Oh, and please, do not ask for phone numbers. It's a question of trust....
