Was contacted yesterday night by two providers who I'd exchanged messages in the past with but never actually met. After exchanging a few messages I learned both were trying to find clients since backpage is gone. They must be providers who work mainly weekends, I directed them both to leolist. One was quite grateful to know where to post ads now. It shows that it's going to take time for providers and clients to make the transition. I encourage everyone to spread the word. I have no stake in Leolist, but must say in the long run it looks to me like it'll be better than backpage for Canada at least. Verified providers, better search tools, the little map of what areas the providers will work in.

That last pic at least is not the same person as the other 3, and it is on the internet on some spanish sites. You can tell the 4th pic of the woman in the pink knit bikini has a tat on her thigh that the other person does not have in her pics. My guess is the first 3 pics "might" be legit but the 4th is for sure someone else. Not just North America, Backpage was my goto source when I travelled to many European cities. :icon_cry: Additional Comments: For a variety of reasons I don't see Lyla as a viable Backpage replacement. For one thing posting and finding ads here must have a certain amount of friction or else most providers would opt to include free ads here along with their paid backpage ads. I haven't looked into Lyla ads, but I suspect to post an ad you have to go through some hurtle setting up your account or the ad itself. Also the viewing format for ads is not as nice as backpage and if I recall without an account you can only view a few postings before being required to signup. That pushes away people. Lyla also isn't chasing the crowd that backpage had. They would experience a massive volume increase if they were the new backpage but they derive their revenue from people clicking banner ads and it's a big question mark if the increased volume would generate the appropriate increase in ad revenue. Which reminds me, we should also take time to click on any interesting ads we see to throw a little money Lyla's way. The site is gone and not likely coming back Something else will replace it. I know people want to protect children and those being trafficked but it's come at the expense of making life a challenge for 10s of thousands of legit service providers In the short term I recommend keeping the numbers of those local providers you know already and encourage everyone to support their local providers with any extra appointment's you can. I live near Katherine in Spryfield and I've recently posted about some possibly underage and sketchy providers in the Warning section, they live a few hundred metres from Katherine's location; so the street doesn't dictate the quality of the provider. Great people like Katherine can live in areas with bad reps. That said I'm a hypocrite, I've had 2 real sketchy scary experiences years ago from a single notorious street in Dartmouth and even though it was a long time ago I still don't go to that area regardless of temptation. I've not usually found it hard. First off I'd say 90% of the providers I've chosen to see in Halifax have been in my estimation independent. 1) If the provider is very mechanical, low-energy, feels like she's putting in a days work thats a tell tale sign. Or she is non-confident in what she is up for doing with you. 2) Usually can tell somewhat by the location. If it's her apartment is the bedroom setup for a woman or a woman+man, likewise in the bathroom. All lady products or is there some some AXE shampoo, etc. If it's a hotel ask her casually how much the room is per night, if she doesn't know she probably has a handler. 3) The providers I've liked are usually talkative and tell you a bit about themselves and build confidence that you are dealing only with them. 4) I sometimes ask if they have a boyfriend 5) All Asians have handlers, I've never seen an exception to that rule. If you see an Asian provider she's getting a cut and one or several others are getting a cut. I should also mention that a provider who has a BF doesn't mean she has a handler. I've dealt with several providers that had boyfriends, doesn't mean I met them or they handled the money (or that the BF's even knew).

Occasionally I like to do a facial finish. I've met providers that allowed facials but only rarely have encountered providers that really embraced the facial and didn't just quickly move to clean everything off.
