Trying to be open to other peoples opinions. Listen and try to understand what they are saying. Thats been a hard one. I appreciate everyone that supports some of the most basic issues in this industry and helps others to clarify their point. With some of the negative posts lately, it seems that in some cases, we are no further along then when I first joined. However, I see who the truly great people on this site are. Both men and women, I appreciate everything you all contribute. xo

Bartering as a first contact will most likely get shot down. Sorry, but I charge much more then my massage therapist, so, in order for a barter to work, there has to be an even exchange that works for both. However, if a regular were to propose a barter for something I wanted, I might be open to that. I had one that would plow my yard - that was his tip for my services - he still paid my rate. I tried to give him money back, but he wouldn't take it, so I would give him extra time, but he was always so busy in the winter, he couldn't stay longer anyways. I had one want to help me with renovations, but I felt weird with that as he would be in my personal space for along time, and I was not comfortable with that at that time. I've had so many contact me for photo's - I look on their website, and really, I wouldn't pay for their services as they don't seem to have an eye for this type of photography. They might be ok at wedding photography, but boudoir is a totally different type of photography. That said, there are some who do accept barters - not to be confused with negotiating - that is never acceptable in my opinion. Just never as a first contact though.

I know of a few hotels near the police station in Saint John, and they are all high end hotels. Not sure about the other cities, but if in SJ, don't worry. Its funny, when I book a hotel, the last thing I worry about is "is there a police station nearby". I look at parking, door access, quality of hotel etc. Yes, I feel you are over thinking this. Go and enjoy.

Trying to help a friend post an ad on a site that is so frustrating to work with.....For some it is easy, for others, it is a nightmare. I look forward to the day when this site gets back to normal, or goes under. The anti's really messed things up. Just wish the guys would use the legit sites and not go to this anonymous sites.

I drove through Canada last summer. Winnipeg is a mid way point, so planned to stop a couple of days to recharge and if I could see some people, that would be a bonus. I booked a hotel by the airport (was travelling with my dog, so I needed a place that was dog friendly). I only advertised here - no bp or the pacific board. I had some great encounters. They recharged me, invigorated me and left me feeling refreshed to move on. I stayed 2 days, and ended up with a bonus date in Brandon on a fluke as I happened to be in the town when he contacted me. So, for me it was successful (and satisfying). However, I was not depending on making dates, as I was there to recharge and rest. Unfortunately, Winnipeg has a reputation for being an Eco-Pooner city. Seems that there are some who want the cheapest option and will do what they can to negotiate. I ignored the few who tried this. As I said, I didn't have to actually see anyone, so the pressure was not there. I doubt anyone would send a deposit, but there are some great guys there that would send a deposit to secure their time with you. So, just because the vocal say they would not, they don't speak for everyone. If I had used the other sites to advertise, I suspect the negotiating requests would have been greater. It is a city I will return to, but I will only pre-book those that I have seen already, or have great references, and if I can see others, then its a bonus. Travelling is never a guarantee of actually making money. Some just break even, and lots loose money. So, if you are interested in travelling there, start advertising dates, see if you can get some solid pre-bookings and go from there. Reach out to the travelling ladies to see if they can give you some pointers. Back east in New Brunswick is a great alternative IMO. Not the same amount of issues Winnipeg has. Getting the organization for some great encounters with numerous gents and ladies at the same time. Lots of organizational skills to coordinate everyone. Its going to be a blast. Of course, I did watch the superbowl.

Everyone is different. Some do same day-last minute bookings. Some require advance notice. Most will advertise this information on their ad or website. If the lady is someone who accepts last minute bookings, and she does not answer right away, it could be she is in a call and does not answer the phone while on an encounter. If texting, let her know if she can text back (i.e. If you get this text before xpm, feel free to reply). Some won`t reply if more then an amount of time has gone by for discretion. If leaving a voice mail, let her know she can call back by xpm. I always hesitate to reply to text messages if its much later, unless they specifically indicated it is ok to reply later. If sending an email for someone who pre-books, and if she has not replied within a 24 hour period, feel free to re-send your email. Technology sometimes messes up and emails, texts and voice mails get missed or erased. The only issue I ever have is if someone sends me a text every 5 minutes for 2 hours. Starts out Hi, then Hey, then working? then the question marks start. Especially at 2 am. Those I will never reply to and will most likely block, so I don`t even get the texts or phone calls in the future. Or if someone has been rude, crass, asked for unsafe activities, or ignored my instructions posted on my website. I agree the lady who replied it was rude to waste her time when she took so long to get back to you, and wanted you to be there in 30 minutes, is unfortunate. I'm a believer that if its meant to be, it will happen. Sorry this happened. I'm a firm believer in pre-screening your ladies. Contact them in advance to confirm their booking protocols. Introduce yourself, let her know that there are times you have a short window of opportunity, and is she interested in you contacting her if you are both available. This helps to find out in advance if you are both compatible, what her rates/protocols are. Obviously, you don't want to utilize a lot of her time, but this helps to narrow down your options for when you have time to play. If done respectfully, it helps.

The funny thing I've read on some other forums - "I won't see a lady who charges less then $250-350 per hour, as if she charges less then that she is high volume". So we are damned if we do and damned if we don't. Do you want to go with a McDonald type business plan (sell lots of hamburgers for cheap) or with a Keg type business plan (sell quality meals at a higher price). Really its up to you. Well said Mia. Personally, advertising is much more for me then $50 a month. I pay at least $100 just for backpage, $100 for another forum I'm on, plus some other advertising expenses. Thats without the basic banners you see on the top of page. Yes, I can get away with basic advertising, just put a basic ad on BP, a free ad on lyla - but then again, do I want to be basic? Lingerie - I had to start all over getting new lingerie when I moved here. I had at least $1000 worth left behind. So, each month, I go out and buy some new pieces. I've spent at least $600 so far on my outfits - and that only counts for 1 pair of shoes. If I bought a pair of shoes for each outfit, I'd be well over $1000 just for the 4 outfits I have so far. I don't go cheap on these. For my civilian clothing I go cheap but not for playtime. Accomodation - Fortunately, I am able to rent a shared in call. So, I only have to pay per call. However, the lady I rent from, her rent alone is $1400 a month. That doesn't include hydro. She supplies all the furniture, bedding, towels, soaps etc. The furniture alone is well over $4000 to buy. Yes, I could do my calls at my personal residence, or I could rent a cheap place. However, it's not the same. The place I use is a spacious retreat, a place when I go and it feels like a piece of heaven. I don't have to bring anything but myself and my supplies. The guys love it, and for a lot of them, its nicer then where they live, so they enjoy being in an upscale location they can relax in. Beauty treatment - I'm pretty basic. I've never had a manicure or a pedicure. However, I know a lot of the ladies do this on a regular basis. Hair, nails, waxing, makeup, tanning, tattoos, piercing. These things are all really expensive. Its not like I can go to the salon and get away with a 15 haircut. Hell no. I know barbers are cheaper, and thats what guys go for for themselves, but not this girl. My tip alone is $20 for a good cut and colour and my last cut and colour was $140 plus my tip, so $160. Make up - have you ever priced this stuff? Even going with the bargain brands - you can't get out of the store for less then $100 if you need to replenish your supplies. Most of the ladies go for the quality stuff - there is a difference in quality, so the price is much higher. However, at the end of the day - I have rent to pay, groceries to buy, gas for my car, insurance, maintenance - all of these things are there whether I do a call or not. So, I have to cover those expenses. Fortunately, I get a monthly check that covers most of this (not all, but most), so I entertain gentlemen so I can cover the rest of my expenses, plus have money to live - so I'm not living month to month. I'm pretty frugal, so I don't need to entertain a lot. That is my choice and decision. However, for the women who are actively pursuing this business to pay their student loans, saving for the future, or whatever goal they have, of course they are going to charge what they want. Anyone who criticizes or whines about a ladies rates - especially in a public forum is really showing what his opinion of the lady is worth. Its sad really.

Always find it interesting when someone posts - URGENT. Yes, if you are going to TOFTT, and want to see her NOW, it would seem urgent. However, there are so many ladies in your area that are well reviewed, why not start there? URGENT in my opinion is for 911 - heart attack, stroke, car accident. Slow down, read and go from there. It will save you in the end. I know nothing about this ad, just seems like you are rushing into things when its not really necessary.
