I don't really need the personal phone to be on my cell phone. It also appears I can call forward my personal phone to my cell phone number. As I just changed phones recently, I'm not looking to buy a new cell phone. Just want a cheap home phone that isn't locked into my physical location (in case I move for example as I don't want to have reconnection fees).

I'm looking at magic jack. Anyone have experience with this? It looks like I can hook directly to my computer, as I don't have access to the router. Does this sound right?

In reality, you could charge minimum wage and there will be those that claim you are charging too much. Just realize that those that complain about your rates are not someone you want to see. They weed themselves out by complaining.

so, I'm going to get a new phone number for work, and want to have a separate personal number. I don't want to get a landline for my personal phone. So I'm looking at other options for this. I also don't want a separate cell phone. I see Vonage as an option. I'm also thinking of an app option but don't really know where to start. I would need my personal phone to be able to call long distance, receive calls, voice mail etc. Any suggestions?

Moving into my new home. Finally getting settled in BC. My dog likes her new digs too.

instead of getting a second phone, can't you get a second sim card with its own pay as you go number on it? yes your original phone won't work for that brief period of time, but a sim card is also easier to stash away. then that number only works when you want to play. I don't know, maybe I'm missing something.

It also depends HOW you ask. a text "rates, available, restrictions" is completely different from "hello, my name is John and I would like to inquire about your one hour incall rate please". Sometimes some of us just don't respond to these types of texts.

I always prefer payment up front. I have a regular who assumed the half hour rate was half the hourly rate. So when he went to pay me after, he was short. He told me he would make up the difference and of course didn't. So our previous wonderful times were ruined with a bad taste in my mouth. For this very reason, all bookings are paid at the beginning of our encounter. No exceptions. Please don't make us ask for the donation. It really ruins the moment.
