Summertime is now upon us, which means YAY for short skirts and tank tops! After one day of donning such attire in downtown Ottawa, I've already been reminded of my least favourite thing about summer: the cat-call. My experiences with cerb gentlemen have always been respectful and courteous, so this message is in no way intended to snip at any of you - however, this is just a gentle reminder to the people out there I may not have met, so who may not be as gentlemenly. NO LADY likes to be yelled at when walking down the street. Honking, whistling, 'ya-hooing', etc. Not acceptable. There are ways to show your appreciation of a nice-looking woman without acting like a pig. The best one: a SMILE. A smile goes a long way, and usually results in a return smile. A leer however can sometimes result in my middle finger being flashed at your face. For myself especially, as a heavily tattooed woman, I expect the looks. Today already I had the purrfect examples of polite, and downright rude. As I sat down in the hair salon waiting room, the older lady next to me smiled, looked at me, and said 'HOLY COW! that's a lot of ink!' then proceeded to talk to me about them. Totally fine. Made me smile. Unaccepable - the woman sitting on a bus bench who dropped her mouth at me, sneered, then turned to gawk at me with a look of disgust as I passed (see, my intended lesson in this message isn't for men only, women can do this too!). That made me angry. All I'm really trying to say is this: pretty girls know they're pretty, and want to wear pretty things. Please don't make us feel like garbage about it - because then we'll cover up!

SA, I don't know where you get your information, but most paid companions work indoors and are not coerced by pimps. We are no more likely to have drug or alcohol addictions than women in "straight" professions. About 85% of us work indoors. Nearly all of the women who engage in street prostitution have multiple problems: most are addicted to illegal drugs; many also have significant mental health issues and the great majority are aboriginal women. Poverty, though, is the critical factor underlying everything else. Canada has laws against human trafficking. Good laws with stiff penalties, they are, too. The problem is that there is little police or judicial will to enforce these laws. Most of the people who are caught up in genuine human trafficking are farm and industrial workers, not prostitutes. Some women are migrant sex workers. That is, they leave their home countries to come to places like Canada in order to engage in the sex trade. They hope to make a significant amount of money that they can send home to help support their families. Many of the Asian women in the micro-brothels in Vancouver are migrant sex workers who make genuine, deliberate choices to come here on visitor's visas to work for up to six months before returning home. They are not "trafficked." We also have laws against the sexual exploitation of children. They, too, should be relentlessly enforced. There is no excuse whatever for sexually abusing children. That said, if we were to document every person who was sexually abused by anyone before the age of 18 or 19, the number would be staggering! It may be that a large number of women who work as paid companions have been sexually abused at some point in their lives. I do think that many of us have been abused in some way, at some point, usually by fathers, brothers, male relatives, boyfriends, partners, lovers or husbands. It maybe that survivors of violence are over-represented among sex trade workers, but that may not be true. Violence against women is endemic and also sanctioned in our culture. If you don't think so, have a look at debates about what really constitutes violence or how to define what is or is not genuinely abusive. Physical violence is only one kind of abuse. Emotional and psychological abuse are both more prevalent and far more destructive. The Harper Conservatives may try to pass legislation that will make prostitution much more dangerous for many women. The women who are most at risk, however--women working on the streets--will not stop engaging in it. They work in the sex trade because they have no other legitimate alternatives; because of poverty; because of addictions; because of mental health problems. These workers will work in conditions that are much higher risk than they are, now. Pimps will thrive because they will offer to protect the women who work for them and because they will strive to guarantee male clients' safety from the police. Some of the rest of us may decide that it's not worth the hassle to work around whatever new laws are created. These women will retire to other professions. Make no mistake, though: many of us will simply carry on doing what we do. The demand for paid companionship will not go down, regardless of what legislative bodies do. Indeed, when men are under greater pressure to avoid arrest and prosecution, paid companions such as me will have a far easier time screening potential clients. That is, there will be fewer arguments about references, contact information, cell phones and the real identities of our clients. Not only that, but expect our rates to increase, considerably, too! If the Harper government has any genuine interest in protecting women from the likes of Picton, they should outlaw poverty, put an end to the drug trade and make effective mental health resources available to everyone when needed, rather than forcing many to wait months or years to see a psychiatrist. I don't think this will happen, though. Legislating a minimum, liveable income would be expensive. Ending the drug trade would have a profound impact on many economies. Vancouver alone would be directly harmed by such a step. And the government is doing its utmost to limit access to health care already because of the expense. The government is not going to do anything that will actually benefit women, protect any of us from predation or violence, or end the sex trade.

Thus far since I began seeing ladies I have only seen independents. This fall I am planning an encounter with a agency lady. My question is this. When I see a lady I like to provide a tip and gift. My understanding is that with a lady from an agency some of the fees go to the agency (driver, cell phone, etc). So my question. Would a lady from an agency prefer a tip only, but equal to the cost of tip plus gift , or would she like a tip and gift. Any responses from ladies who used to work for agencies appreciated And the agency is a reputable agency Thanks RG

Well I have had both good and bad surprises happen to me. In almost 25 years of hobbying a lot can happen. First the good. When I am back home seeing family I sometimes stop in at a local agency that does incalls. I do not have a regular girl there so I just ask for short and petit and show up for my appointment. Well on this one day I am greated by a beautiful brunet in her 30s and I get very excited! We chat for a bit and start to get comfortable with each other and she asks me what service I wanted. I say GFE and she says yes. Then I say "I also would like.... forget it you would not offer this". She asked what it was I wanted so I told her "Greek but I understand that it is not for everyone. She looked at me straight in the eyes and said "I have never tried it but I am willing to give a try if you like and we will see what happens!" We had a fantastic afternoon and great pleasure was had by both! Now the bad. Last year I saw an SP that was traveling through Ottawa. In her ad she mentioned that she was also offering duos with a friend. Since she was the one I really wanted to see and spend all my with I booked and hour with her. I showed up at her hotel room and imidiatly went to freashen up then we got comfortable on the pullout couch. I assumed that since she was there for the week she was keeping the bedroom as her private space. Well things progressed and as I was performing DATY I hear a door and someone walking behind me and I can see my girl looking a bit upset and stairing behind me. I turned to see this new girl walk over and sit beside me putting her hand on my back and said "Hey baby would you like a duo?" I politly declined saying I wanted to concentrate on pleasuring her friend. She got up and went back into the room. Even though we had to start from scratch we built up the passion again and moved things along. We were in a very comfortable position with me on top when I heard the bedroom door open again. The girl walked passed us and headed the door, opened it and looked out into the hall then waved towards the room and a guy walked out followed by a third SP. They walked right past us less then 8 feet away and he left with the two girls going back into the bedroom. Now that was a mood killer! I am an easy going guy so eventhough it killed the passion between us I did not loose my need for gratification so I continued on but now it was all about my satisfaction. When I was leaving I told her that seemed like a nice person and the service she offered was great but that she needed to get her own room and perhaps reconsider her buisness arrangments. I know this is a very bizzare story but it is all true! As strange as things may get, it will make a great story!:icon_lol:

I think so, yes. They might try writing new laws about soliciting to crack down on street prostitution, but they'd only have limited, temporary success if they do that because street prostitution is motivated by drug addiction, mental illnesses and the most dire forms of poverty. Remember that prostitution is legal in Canada, now. It's not legal to operate a brothel and it's not legal for anyone other than the prostitute herself to live off the proceeds of her income. However, there are brothels all over the country, operating undetected under the radar, causing no trouble for anyone. Technically, I'm the sole proprietor and employee of a brothel in one of Vancouver's most up-scale residential neighbourhoods. Charging me would serve no useful purpose because I am not a nuisance, I cause no trouble for anyone, there are no noise problems, no drugs, no late-night drunken brawls outside my door--nothing for the neighbours or the police to be interested in. To charge me would simply be vindictive. If I am prevented from making my living as I do, there's a good chance that I would have to rely on social assistance of various kinds, which is also not in the public interest. I provide for my children on my income. My youngest lives with me. Is he better off without my income? His father refuses to pay child support and it would take a couple of years--and cost a great deal--for the province to get results if they pursue my son's father for unpaid child support because we were on welfare. Technically, my landlord is living on the avails. Should they be charged, though? They say that we are the finest tenants they've ever had and they hope that we'll stay for years to come. We're quiet, undemanding and happy to take care of basic maintenance ourselves. Do taxpayers want to have their money used to pursue women like me? Do they believe that the best thing the police departments can do is to set me up to imagine I'm entertaining another nice middle-aged man only to find that he's a police officer who is going to arrest me? (I'll say nothing about the RCMP and city police officers who are or have been my clients before this.) Maybe--just maybe--it would be better to put the police to work finding the people who have been murdering the prostitutes who work on the streets downtown. If they're concerned about my taxable income, the CRA has ways of ensuring that I pay taxes on my earnings. I'm ready to be audited. I declare my income, so I'm not worried about that. If they're concerned that I may not be healthy and may be spreading diseases, well, lots of people pass communicable diseases to others. It's an offense to knowingly expose others to diseases like HIV/AIDS, but I am 100% certain that I don't have HIV or other serious illnesses. Studies show that a man's wife or girlfriend is more likely to expose him to most STDs than I am. My point in all of this is to question what needs to be regulated. Most paid companions work much as I do. We aren't causing problems. There's no reason to enact laws to regulate our behaviour. If the Himel decision is upheld, it's possible that more people will enter the sex traqde. It's possible, but over time, I don't think there will be a significant increase in the number of paid companions. This work is a lot more difficult and demanding than most people realize. One has to work very hard to make a good living and one has to put up with a lot of nonsense from clients and potential clients, at times. Most women don't stay in the sex trade for very long. So, yes, I do think there's a reasonable chance that the federal government will not rush to pass useless, pointless legislation, particularly if most Canadians don't want it.

I have one to write about, I still get embaressed when I think of it. I had a gentlemen come see me, after spending numours days pm back and forth. We finally were able to meet. The first thing that went wrong, I just realised I had no "supplies" left in the box!! OH NO! But it was alright for him, as he decided he likes other kinds of activities. So phewf! That worked out. Then out of the blue a knock at my door!! No one I know would ever just stop by without calling, so who could it be? Later discovering it was a puralator delivery! So we recover from that one too! Oh my oh my, I was so embarresed and told him things are usually pretty smooth around here. I was relieved that he had a since of humor! Then we walk out of the room and I see his sunglasses on the floor, my puppy chewed them to tiny little pieces!! Well, what could I do or say? returned the gentlemen his donation and gave my most sincer apology! I thought I would never see him again, but thank fully he understood that we all just human, and we can make mistakes! I have kept in contact with him! Even if 1 of those things happened, I would have been emabaressed, but all 3! LOL!

This wasn't duing an encounter of mine but I was at Angelaofottawa's place and was changing downstairs in the area she has set up to receive clients. In fact, I was under the stairs where there is a little storage area. I knew she was expecting a visitor and was trying to get out of there asap since I don't stick around when she has an appt. All of a sudden the door bell rang...the guy was 15 minutes early! Btw, this a major pet peeve with SPs since we need this time to get ready. Anyways, I think she thought that I had already left or was in another room upstairs and they proceeded downstairs. I had to be somewhere in the next 20 minutes and knew I needed to make an escape. I could not be in there for a half hour or more. Rest assured, this never happens and we don't hide in closets or anything like that. They were already well into the appt when I flung the door open, surprising the hell out of both them while apologizing profusely as I ran up the stairs. As it turned out, it turned the old guy on so much that the next time he came to see her, he wanted me to stick around so I could talk dirty from up the stairs.lol. I don't know if he thought that I was in there on purpose but it definitely aroused him. He is now a mutual client of ours and he never forgot the day I jumped out of the storage room. What a way to make a first impression! lol.

I haven't seen her interview but I always respect people for protesting. It shows that they care and are willing to take risks,be subject to ridicule, firing or arrest. Even if I don't agree with their cause the great thing about democracy is that we can do this. Did you see the Sgt of Arms who escorted her out? Guy must have been over 70. What a great country that it wasn't by someone with a machine gun or that she didn't disappear.

This wasn't 'during' but I once had a lady bring 2 art pieces that went together to our meeting. She said one was for me to pick and the other she would keep. That was over a year ago and I still have mine in my work office. I think about her everytime I look at it. Posted via Mobile Device

Unfortunately, what allows our democracy toi function is the premise that certain institutions are above party politics and remain neutral. Canadian Forces and RCMP are two such, although the lines have been blurred in recent years. Parlaiment itself is alsdo supposed to remain non-partisan and Bridgette knew this and chose to disregard that responsibility. I have no sympathy for her whatsoever. My support of her cause is separate. Posted via Mobile Device

Even with an overall majority, things can be slowed down; pushing things through *really* fast requires cross-party cooperation, and I just can't see that happening. Yes, the current government could ram this through if they chose; the question is whether or not they think they've got better things to be doing (more on which below). True. And in addition, the public memory for things is often quite short. Maybe Pickton will turn out to be different - I hope so - but most incidents will only be remembered by the public for a far lesser time than is required to get a case through the judicial system. I must admit, I wasn't aware of the poll results WIT posted. I'm quite encouraged by how reasonable people seem to be on this - the 'live and let live' attitude seems to be far more prevalent than I'd thought it was. What would be interesting would be to see polls on how *strongly* people feel about this; although there may be a majority who are OK with the legalization of brothels, I doubt peoples votes will really swing on this sort of thing. Elections will still come down to jobs and taxes and schools and hospitals, in the end. I think this is probably the biggest obstacle to public acceptance right now - but then, nimbyism will never go away, and the fact that nobody really wants to live next door to a power station doesn't mean we're going to turn the lights off. But this is where local government can make a huge difference, if it's actually prepared to have a sensible debate on the topic; there's a reason why commercial and residential properties are already separated, and adding a new type of commercial property to the equation really doesn't change it all that much. On a more whimsical note - wouldn't it be great if we could just *tell* people where their nearest SP incall was, and then started asking questions like "If they're so awful, how did you fail to notice what was going on next door/ in the apartment downstairs/ down the street"? Okay, it's never going to happen, but... You may be right. But I feel more optimistic on this point having seen the polls WIT posted - I have no doubt the government's seen them too. I don't agree that this is a suicide mission; there's a reasonable chance of success, and no guarantee that failure would be disastrous. And if you *don't* fight, the only guarantee is that you lose.

If you've read the previous posts, my review will sound a bit like a broken record. For a twist see the last section...some juvenile silliness on my part. LOCATION AND SETTING The downtown location is convenient (at least for me). Her place is discreet, cozy and clean. Candles, dim lighting and music create a nice atmosphere. MEGAN -Very friendly -Calm and cool -Professional -Intelligent -Mature beyond her years -Pretty -In excellent shape -Lovely, soft skin -Takes the lead - helpful for newbies like me who have no clue what they are doing -Never a hint of a negative tone from her -Engages in relaxed and pleasant conversation -Offers plenty of eye contact and smiles, both of which really add to the GFE aspect THE SESSION I was quite nervous when I arrived. Chatting with Megan helped calm me down somewhat - a feat unto itself! Admittedly, I'm no massage connoisseur but the massage felt great, so don't let the fact that she is not professionally trained deter you. The other parts of the session I'll keep to myself (lap dance, body slide, etc.). I'll just say that it was "all good". MARRIAGE PROPOSAL ;-) This was my bold and shameless attempt to get free sessions for life. Since we'd already known each other for more than an hour I thought it would be ok to ask. She did not accept. Note to self: Do not propose to your MA. Someone needs to add this to the FAQ for newbies.

I'm of the opinion that the beautiful women at the beach or elsewhere want us to look; "these girls work hard at looking cute and sexy, you think they don't appreciate us looking"; "they would be insulted if we didn't"...respectfully of course, not with our tongue sticking out or whatever else you may imagine..lol!!! ESPECIALLY THOSE GIRLS WITH LOVELY TATTOOS!! HA!

Growing up in the country helps you get a thick skin to the loss of cheriched animal friends, but even as an adult, I find it still stings deeply when you lose a friend who personified innocence and offered unconditional love.
