I lift weights, do circuits and plyometrics 6 days a week. I try to spend as much time as I can outside :) But other than being active, if you wanna feel and see results you have to adjust your nutrition, eat clean/healthy! This will be the key to fuel and recover your body

Very good answer! If it is too questionable to share on the open forum, it's too questionable to share in a private section. If some members are too shy to post publically, they can continue to send pm questions. If they don't have any posts, don't reply to them, imo, because you have no idea who they are, what are they hiding, what do they want, etc. So if it is info that is readily available to them if they went to an ad or website, just add to your reco "I've been getting enquiries by pm about X and Y, and refer everyone to the sp's website or ad, or contact her directly about this." That way you aren't sharing sensitive info if you felt that it wasn't appropriate info to put in the reco in the first place. If you get a bunch of pms asking the same info and realize it would be OK to have in the reco, then just add a post that provides that info. Whatever you do, the sp will be able to see what you are saying in the reco, if it is a private matter she will let you know. If it is something that needs clarification or correction, she will also let you know. Doing any of that in a private section means there are some 'facts' posted that she is unaware of, and which may lead to issues when she hears "I read that you provide X under the right circumstances" or "Are you still at the Hotel XXX?" or even "You should know that cerb member W is telling everyone your exact address." But aside from the obvious, if you are inundated with pms, just post in the reco itself you don't want any, there is also the chance that it will redirect discussions away from the General lounge, and there will be less happening publically where everyone can participate. This could lead to disinterest from many members, and sps, and change the dynamics of the site the way it is. The way the site is now, even tho the site is focused on eastern provinces, I still make copious posts on a variety of topics just because I am able to read them all :)

Perhaps it's because we are bashed everywhere! The problem is that if a provider doesn't want these kind of details "out in the open" then it shouldn't be anywhere for any reason. I don't care if you are getting pm requests, if your provider doesn't want that information disclosed you are betraying her trust by doing so even in a pm. If she doesn't want that information in her reco then she doesn't want it discussed and shouldn't be in pm or a private area. It's one thing to have information exchanged between hobbyists but please know that it's easy for someone to disguise themselves as a client and collect info on a provider then have it used against them in a child custody case etc. My concern isn't about the bashing, it's about the open availability of information that could cause irreparable harm in one's personal life. I am a prime example. My work was used against me in a custody case and I lost my daughters. Not because I was an unfit mother but because I was a sex worker and details clients discussed were read in open court in front of my daughters who were all minors at the time. There is one detailed review out there and by the time I knew it existed it was already framed on my parents dining room wall for my children to have to see every time they sat down to eat. It is why there is so little out there on me. Discussing services that are offered but not publicized is a no no anywhere. Bash me all you want but don't ever discuss what I do behind closed doors... cat

How would you know? Do you happen to have a personal SP spy that reports to you? ;) Seriously though, there is no screening process to become a CERB member so anyone with a computer can get a CERB handle. Making an assumption like the one above is just, well, an assumption. Big difference: I do not go around saying so-and-so is to be avoided because she is B&S or she is (include whatever you want here) based on MY personal experience; when a member asks a question I will sometimes use a powerful tool called Google, accessible to anyone who dares to use it ;), and I will do a quick search and provide you with the extra information I find online so you can stay safe...

I've had mine, and I recommend it. Gardasil is now approved for use in Canada for all sexually active women up to age 45. This specific vaccine protects against the four most common main strains of HPV - the 2 (strains 16 & 18 ) which cause 70% of all cervical cancers, and the 2 (strains 6 & 11) which cause 90% of all warts. Like Jessica, I've also had the Twinrix (Hep A & B) vaccines. Both give me an extra tiny bit of peace of mind. Can you post this "respectable source" and what exactly you think is exaggerated? It's not an opinion that HPV can cause cervical cancer, or genital warts, it is fact. It's also true that you can have HPV with no adverse health affects at all. It all depends on the strain(s) contracted... But why take the risk? The medical community pretty much agrees that the results have been a staggering achievement in the reduction of HPV cases in people who have been vaccinated, cutting infection rates by more than half! Also, with very little adverse reactions to the actual vaccine. And actually most health plans do cover it. Alternatively, it is considered a health expense claim for self employed individuals (SPs) when filing our taxes. I don't know how common it is among other sex-workers, as I can only take care of myself, and do what I can to protect my own health as I see fit.

Another option would be for you to leave a message, stating that you do not want a call back. When a call has been missed by such a short time, you will get some providers calling you back (a longer length of time, maybe not so much).

Add says she is 19 years old and that is incorrect by 8 to 12 year (my best guess). Can not swear if the pics on the add are really her ,and one time in her life ,because they do not show her face . However the girl that came to my hotel was 30 to 40 lbs heavier than the body pics posted on BP. Girl was in very bad shape due to drug abuse. I am not talking about a bit of weed smoking I am referring to hard core drug abuse. When I opened the door of my hotel to let her in I got an additional visitor with her. She landed with a guy who was her bodyguard / pimp whatever. He said he was there to collect money and make sure everything went ok. We had an exchange of words, ect and out the door he went. I am not sure if they landed with another motive but being the person I am , i didn't give them any chance. I believe this is a case of bait and switch because of the pics and info advertised . It is also a dangerous situation when a third unexpected , unwanted person barrels in through the door. I guess I can take part of the blame as I should have done my homework on the 24/7 agency. Either way everyone needs to be warned about the practices that this agency conducts. STAY AWAY !!!!!!

Could someone tell me exactly what the purpose of a "mens-only" forum would be? What would be posted in it? Who would gain access? How would we screen them? Access to the SP-only forum, per the FAQ: Like Cat, I am uneasy about what information could be shared behind closed doors. With a review or recommendation, I see what people write about me. I have the option to ask the member in question to change what they have written, or to contact a mod. Same with forum posts. I'm aware that information is sometimes shared via PM, and there is already the potential there for inaccurate or misleading information to be shared -- I don't think we need another venue for this. We have folks already posting private information on the forum occasionally -- addresses for incall locations, for example -- and at least in a public venue these things are flagged and removed quickly. How would a private forum be moderated, who would do it, and what would the rules be?

A big misconception is that we don't pay taxes and are part of the "underbelly" of society. In general anything negative about a person is usually attributed to someone who is in this business-lifestyle- a preconceived notion for many. Unfortunately many people will continue to think negativly about this profession-lifestyle until someone in government has the balls to completely legalize it, allowing it to be treated like any other business. It should be understood that any business has and is run by people- good and bad. There are doctors, lawyers, CEO's, CFO's, judges, people in all professions that abuse drugs, cheat, shirk the tax man, yet anytime someone is involved in the "sex" industry red flags arise and misconceptions are made. For those who openly admit to this being their occupation continue to represent yourselves as the ladies and gentlemen that you are, eventually and hopefully it will be yourselves that dispel all those misconceptions. After all, if we hold ourselves to higher standards it will be hard for others not to.

Easy ... First One is LEGAL: Most people in Canada think prostitution in Canada is illegal. It is actually perfectly legal (if you follow the law correctly). It is not a "gray" area either... if done in private (not in a bawdy house IE. Regular place of prostitution) like a hotel room or out call to the guys house... with no public solicitation with someone over 18 and no one other then the lady herself is making money from the call... it's completely legal here in Canada. People need to stop watching American TV and thinking we follow some sort of American law! Second: Drugs. People assume that all ladies in this industry serious drug addicts and are in it to support drug habits. I have never met a serious drug addict who owns a computer - let along uses one. Third: STI/STD's Probably 100 times more safe with a pro who uses condoms as opposed to the girl you picked up drunk in the bar and "took a uncovered chance with!" most of the ladies practice safe sex as being sick with a sti/std is not good for business!! Fourth: Pimps and forced prostitution Steetwalkers and escorts are often grouped into the same group. Not the same! Fifth: Ladies taken advantage of. Often people think this is done against the ladies will or she is being taken advantage of...

What is in your opinion the biggest misconception the general public has of this industry?
  23. 1 point
Was about to start a new thread and found this one, thought I'd bump it For me personally, these are the misconceptions that get to me: People that think independent workers see clients for the entire duration of their posted hours. If an independent lady posts that she is available between 12-8, it doesn't mean she's seeing 8 one-hour clients. I know I could not possibly see that many clients, and wouldn't want to - I wouldn't have any time for ME. Most girls I know see a selected number of clients within that time frame - it's not a revolving door of men. We post the hours we're willing to see clients during, then go about our lives based upon the appointments we have booked. And in my personal life, I've found many guys who assume that I must be an easy lay, and sleep around personally, because I'm an escort. Which isn't the case.

Honestly, the best advice I can give you is to cut out preservatives. It means you have to plan your meals and cook, but it becomes second nature pretty fast and it's FUN. I can guarantee you will drop weight from that alone. In addition, DRINK MORE WATER! No one ever drinks enough and this contributes to bloating and all types of other issues. Thirdly - just move. You like going to the gym? Then go. If you like walking, walk. Take the stairs. Park at the far side of the parking lot. Have sex :) Whatever to keep yourself MOVING !!!!!!!!! It doesn't have to be complicated :)

Splitz, first of all let me say how cool it is to read that you've changed your mind on this. A reasoned exchange of views and ideas online leading to someone adjusting their view? I think we may have just broken the Internet! :) I understand what you are saying in terms of clarifying that you weren't envisioning a private section for negative remarks. But personally I don't think your comparison to discussing a new boyfriend and their first date quite holds up. After all, I think we know that the details that would end up getting discussed in a private section would end up being a lot more than just 'were they a good kisser or conversationalist'. Plus, it would be shared with a larger audience. To keep with your comparison it would be more akin to Julie and Jake finishing their first date, and then Jake going to a private group on Facebook and sharing with all the people there--many he doesn't even know enough to trust--the intimate details about Julie's sexual preferences, what activities she offered, how her breasts felt, etc. Not quite the same thing as sharing with a best friend some details about a new crush. You're right that these aren't necessary negative details or SP bashing--they could be shared with the best of intentions--but it would still end up discussing things better left for the lady to decide whether she wants shared or not. For one thing this allows the lady to control which activities may become expected by others.

If you come with a shopping list, you are in the wrong place...!This not what the lifestyle is about. You want to be satisfied, just act natural, enjoy the company and do not make demands. Just enjoy and "play" with what is on hand and I am sure you will leave happy and satisfied It is not a question of filling your shopping list...If it is your concern, you are the problem.

In those cases where the SP enters the engagement with intent to deceive/swindles a hobbyist? Yes, it would be nice to have some recourse. However I am not sure what sort of recourse you would expect to have, beyond walking away and posting some warning here in the B&S thread and on other review sites. Ask for a refund? You have likely just insulted the honest SP and made them feel uncomfortable. As for the swindler? How likely do you think it is that someone who set out to rip you off is going to say 'oh sure, no problem. Here you go'? Any sort of recourse system would absolutely have to treat all of the honest and hardworking SP's with respect. It is certainly not fair for them to suffer because of a few dishonest crooks. I can not think of anything off hand does that while still providing the type of recourse you seek. Would you want to work at a job where your clients or boss always treated you like you were going to rip them off? I know that I would find it hard to do my job with a smile and any sort of passion. I know that I would rather accept the risk of losing some cash than make an honest SP feel uncomfortable enough to question whether they should be in the business. If enough people did that all we would be left with are the scammers and SP's that no one would want to recommend. How much fun would the hobby be then?

Wow, a lot of great points and responses. I'm really seeing now that there are a lot of potential negatives in a private section for men. I'm really glad I asked the question as I have now had the benefit of all of your perspectives on the matter. The safety of everyone is of the up most importance and if a private form for the men could add to the risk that is already taken by providers then I'd have to say that it is a bad idea. Thank you for your input everyone.

It's very easy to read the discussions and become disillusioned thinking that every guy on here is as great at the ones who post. But they're not. In fact, the two biggest creeps I've met, came from right here on cerb. I think this is something people need to keep in mind every time a similar conversation comes up on here (about pre-paying, references, anything to do with a lady's procedures). The guys who participate in the forums are probably not the ones we need to worry about. The procedures aren't necessarily for them (Even my own. I posted on another thread that I would ask someone to leave if they didn't put the payment down up front. I've met some gentlemen from cerb that I'm so comfortable with based on their post history/attitude on here I didn't even think of it, and wasn't at all worried about being ripped off. But that's the exception, not the rule - and it was MY choice to bend my rule, not his). The procedures are there for the big, sometimes dark, sometimes scary, part of this business that you guys just don't see on here. But that doesn't mean it's not there.

I know sometimes it's hard to read tone in a post, so my post below is being written as an attempt to explain one point-of-view for not answering blocked numbers, it's not written in any confrontational way, and definitely not an 'I'm right, you're wrong' or anything like that. A few months back I posted a thread about one-word texts saying 'Hi'. I thought they were rude - and from the responses I received, I realized I was wrong. Things aren't always the way you think they are. I am truly sorry if some people think we're being rude by not answering blocked numbers - for me, it's part of keeping myself sane in this business, and it's not rude at all. Before I briefly retired from SP-ing and became and MA for a while, I used to answer blocked numbers. Because, as has been pointed out, sometimes men block their number because they are calling for some more info and don't yet want to give our their number. But I'll tell you what my experience was by answering those calls. For the info calls, after I answered the questions, the call would go one of three ways: the gent would accept the info, and decide to call back to book with an unblocked number. This was the least common result. The more common was to either try and convince me to give him my location info on the blocked number, and the second most common was for me to realize the man was jerking off on the other end of the line, no intention to actually book. Websites like cerb show us the wonderful side of this business; it helps you gentlemen to see how many other gentlemen there are that take part in this hobby. So it's easy to think it's simply gentlemen calling for info and hiding their privacy - but sadly, in reality, most of the time the people hiding behind those blocked numbers are not gentlemen: they are creeps. So, about half the time when I answered a blocked number, it went one of the three ways I mentioned above. The other half of the time... well honestly, the other half of the time I would receive demoralizing, and utterly deflating cruelty. I'd answer blocked numbers and have teenagers making prank phone calls. I'd have men breathing in my ears. I'd have people scream "WHORE!" when I answered. I'd have the sound of men jerking off. I'd have people calling with disgusting - and I mean DISGUSTING - requests. These calls would sometimes reduce me to tears. It was very hard to pick back up and put a smile on my face. The cruelty that can exist out there is staggering, and in my experience, these cruel assholes hide behind a blocked number. They're not going to expose themselves when they make these kind of calls. I've posted in the past about the main reason I left being an SP for a while, and went to an MA, but the phone calls are a big part of it as well. WHen I was an MA, there was someone else taking the calls. I didn't have to expose myself to those creeps. Yes, that also meant I didn't get to communicate with the true gentlemen out there. But my brain needed that break for a while. When I was able to come back, I set myself some limits in order to keep myself safe, and sane, in the business. And one of those things was to never, ever, answer a blocked number. And by doing that, I've almost eliminated those cruel, prank phone calls. So I do hope you can understand that it's not at all being rude by not answering those calls. But in this business, we need to set up barriers in order to stay safe, and for me at least, this is one of the things I do.

I think having to discuss money when one is trying to relax and enjoy is horribly tacky and uncomfortable and especially having to get off a table and go reach in your wallet - what a mood killer. These are the main reasons why CMJ has the all inclusive fee Kellyxo was making reference too. It takes the guess work out of it and its just all about the pleasure, not business. The Sessions starring Helen Hunt, William Macy and dang it,I forgot the name of the male lead, oh well. Based on the true story of a middle aged polio victim who loses his virginity during sessions with a researcher/sex surrogate. This movie should be of interest to most cerbies. It is warm, funny, touching, and the great Wm. Macy is a hoot as a priest. Also, Helen Hunt fully nude, hehe! I think this is sort of a limited run "art house" type as I saw included in a series of special showings , so it may be hard to find. Must see!
