5 pointsWell how about Ron Howard First as young Opie Taylor on Andy of Mayberry Then as Richie Cunningham on Happy Days And now he's a highly respected movie director Just a few movies he is noted for, Apollo13, Splash, Willow, Backdraft, Ransom, The Da Vinci Code just to name a few RG

4 pointsI'm having a hard time reading this. It seems to me that a lot of people have preconceived notions, not about the bar but about the girls. Why is it that whenever strippers are brought up we have to bring up all that is seedy? I didn't think this needed to be said but here it is -- there are girls that genuinely like what they do. Exploitation happens, of course it does. I assume this to be the case for street level ladies more than any other group (and this needs to be addressed). Strip clubs are an entirely different ball game. I worked in clubs for years. Yes, girls had crappy boyfriends - who hasn't? Yes, some did drugs - not as many as you think. I met one girl in all that time that had a serious addiction and was dancing to support it. One. Dancers do not make the money that did 10 years ago. I know people like to think we are bringing in thousands a night. Wishful thinking. I heard all types of stories about gangs making girls work to take their money. I've never heard if it happening because it isn't worth it. If anyone who is actually involved in the industry has other insight I would love to hear it but rumour and heresay does nothing but hurt the industry's reputation and that of the girls that work in it.

4 pointsJust watched this show the other night with Ron Howard as the child of a sheriff, I think it was from the 50's. He was very young and has been acting all his life and has turned out fine and to be a great director as well. Shirley temple as well Fame was different in those days perhaps But then again maybe not as Judy Garland is an example of the negative side of childhood stardom. lol, you beat me to it RG:) thanks for naming the show

3 pointsHard to know if the problem is him, his entourage, his family, etc However, i don't have that much sympathy for people who screw up because they have too much( money, fame or power) and ends up on drugs and doing stupid things. Or for those who don't face the consequences. A non celebrity from a poor part of town with abusive parents that did what he did (vandalism, racing under influence) would be sent to jail without question. Even if Justin have "good" reasons to act this way, i don't get why celebrities get to have favor treatments. (well the money they make for the country obviously, but it shouldn't be that way) I think there is a lot of people and situation where people have it much worst and would need more our sympathy and help. People that actually want to be helped and are trying to get better. (i.e. people fighting deseases, depression or those stuck in countries at war)

3 pointsThe BEST example? Ron Howard. Ron Howard was "Opie" on the Andy Griffith Show as a child in the late 50's to mid 60's and re-emerged as Richie Cunningham in the early 70's on the show "Happy Days" Now? Ron Howard is an Oscar winning director. He directed Apollo 13, A Beautiful Mind, Coccoon, The DaVinci Code, etc, etc, etc.... he also was the creator of Arrested Development. The guy has been continuously and more remarkably, quietly, employed in TV and movies since 1959 - when he was just 5 years old. Now, a month shy of his 60th birthday, he has become the epitome of what may happen if a kid has great direction! ______________________________________________________________________ dammit both of you beat me!!!

3 pointsWell I'll be the stick in the mud here, but frankly I'm kinda sick and tired of hearing about Justin Bieber. Seems every time I log on to the internet msn.com has another story about him. Funny thing though, for a "singer" none of the stories have to do with him as a singer. To me he's just a spoiled little rich kid. And like redskin pointed out, likely this arrest could be the best thing that could happen to him...judging from the smirk on his face in his mugshot maybe a bit of time behind bars could just smarten him up and give him some humility instead of a sense of entitlement and arrogance My two cents RG

2 pointsYes my friends, I have done it "my way"! Some may have noticed that my posts and threads are becoming minimal in nature (could be a good thing!). So as an update, the cancer continues to spread and has started to effect some nerves and cognitive stuff on a random basis. Docs tell me this is what I can expect for a while, nothing major, but all things being equal, by spring, my nerve endings will be really screwed up, memory may or may not be effected, speech may or may not be effected. They looked at me funny when I asked about my tongue! Anyway, hanging in, trying to get rid of this blasted cold provided to me by some uncaring asshole. Will continue to stay in touch while I can, hoping to be good for the next Ottawa Social, that is a focus! Will continue to drive and visit as long as I am able. Thanx, hope you all have a great weekend, play safe, play often and give the ladies lots of licks, kisses and hugs (YMMV)!!!!! Tom TheLiquor

2 pointsIt seems over the last year or so that every other media story out there is a tale of some young person or childhood stars who, older now, has gotten themselves in trouble or caused some sort of scandal or controversy. It's nothing new, I know, but between Lindsey Lohan's drug relapses, the national debate on Miley Cyrus twerking, and now Justin Bieber's arrest, it seems a common story these days and is enough to make one think no young person can be prepared for widespread success. So, cheer me up people! Restore my faith! Surely there are a lot of childhood stars out there who made it successfully to a stable adulthood. Tell me your favourite! Share an example! To start, I'll throw out Neil Patrick Harris. One of the shows I grew up on was Doogie Howser M.D: And Neil Patrick Harris is still entertaining today, and seemingly even more awesome and stable in real life than his current t.v. persona:

2 points"Little Stevie Wonder - The Eighth Wonder of the World" had his first hit record at 13 with "Fingertips (Pt. 2). It's impossible to say enough about Stevie Wonder... Ellen Page - Started working on the Pit Pony when she was 10 and the moved on to performances in Rock Candy, Juno, X-Men and Inception. So far so good on the personal front. Julie Andrews - Starred in UK theatre productions when she was 13 and then Mary Poppins, Sound of Music and Victor/Victoria. She's made it to 78 so I think it's safe to say she made the transition to successful adult ;-) Anna Paquin - Second youngest person to win an Academy Award at 11 for Best Supporting Actress in The Piano. She's also done Fly Away Home, Almost Famous, X-Men and True Blood. (Tatum O'Neil was the youngest Academy Award winner at 10 for Paper Moon, but unfortunately hers is a different story entirely.) Tony Williams - OK this pick is a little obscure, but I think it's amazing that he lived to be a clean and successful adult. Tony was the most influential drummer since the 1960's and began playing with major jazz artists when he was 13 and joined Miles Davis when he was 16. Considering he was around significant hard drugs and alcohol on a daily basis during his adolescence it's amazing that he never developed any addictions. Unfortunately he died at 52 following minor surgery. Scarlett Johanson - Started in film when she was 10 and major roles when she was 12. Other than the usual celebrity gossip about her love life, she seems to have made the transition OK.

2 pointsHilary Duff, for someone who is more of a contempory of Beiber and Cyrus. She was a cute child star, she didn't do anything really stupid, she grew up and still didn't do anything stupid, got married, had a kid, still being offered roles so she doesn't have to go off the rails and do anything stupid. :) I think Shirley Temple did not make the transition into a teen or adult movie star, which I think suited her just fine. She had a chance to become US Ambassador to Ghana and Czechoslovakia and a few other appointments, including representative to the UN. She also apparently sat on the boards of corporations and organizations, including Walt Disney Company, Del Monte Foods and National Wildlife federation. which i find interesting lol. My mother was a huge fan of Shirley Temple, who was born about a year earlier than she was, so i know a lot of ST films and biography lol.

2 pointsMost times, whenever a child becomes a star, they stop being a child in the eyes of their parents and become a golden goose instead; a revenue stream to be managed. Most adults aren't capable of handling that kind of fame and celebrity, let alone a teenager, and when his parents decided he was a cash cow and no longer their son, his story was destined for a tragic ending (which I don't think we'll see quite yet). I'm not absolving him of responsibility, but his negligent, greedy parents are just as guilty.

2 pointsNot all men are gentlemen, and not all women are ladies. I don't think such response to your chivalry would come from a lady's mouth. I think you always win at being a gentleman, and it's their own lost if they don't appreciate perfect manners.

CMJ definitely isn't for everyone but, for many, CMJ is their only, or one of their many choices. The great thing is Ottawa has so many great choices and so many amazing women! Thanks and looking forward to hearing from you, Jasmin & CMJ team Sorry just realized I posted with a staff account that was logged into work computer. Mod if you could change? 2 pointsNo that's a common misconception. However, they do tend to attract organized crime. A few clubs I've worked at have a heavy HA presence as they are the ones bringing in the drugs. I do not partake in those activities though so it took me a whole to pick up on what exactly was happening. The pink is actually owned by a lively older lady and run my her brothers. Her son does the cleaning. It's a family business

2 pointsDuo etiquette rules: 1. Choose providers who either have seen each other naked or can stomach seeing each other naked. 2. Choose providers of the same species or genus. For example, do not ask if a provider will work with a chia pet, velociraptor or plank of wood as a duo partner. 3. If you have a kink about clothing, make sure that one or both of the providers do not show up in the same outfit you are wearing. One of you is going to look better and the other will cry just a little bit. 4. Establish well before the encounter who gets to be Batman, who gets to be Robin and who gets to be Alfred the butler. You can't have two Batmans. That's an international convention. 5. Establish a bacon friendly environment. Everyone loves bacon and if they don't, they can't be part of the duo. 6. If you own an iguana and it is fed through an ingenious contraption that automatically dispenses food onto an an awaiting plate, make sure that both providers see and understand. Everyone needs to know about reptile dish function. (or was that erectile dysfunction??? Maybe I heard it wrong.) 7. Gifts are nice but be equal in the distribution. You can't give a bottle of champagne to one provider and a package of lime jello to the other. 8. Nobody is allowed to fart. That's against the rules. 9. If you are playing Risk as part of the encounter, always remember to establish in Australia and secure Siam. That's a guaranteed 3 extra guys every turn. Duo chicks dig Risk. 10. Margarine should never be used as part of a fantasy. Always use premium dairy products, not corn or other vegetable based substitutes. 11. There is no 11, please proceed to 12. 12. I was kidding about 11, there is no 12. 13. Skip the clown fetish. It's weird and will freak EVERYBODY out. 14. Lube and crazy glue should never be kept in the same drawer. Trust me on that. 15. If you are new to the duo game, please don't send pictures of your penis to either partner. You'll get penis cooties and be unable to perform. ... that's what I have so far.... but then again, I am tired.

1 pointhi I thought that this may be an interesting topic. Some of you have strange or unique CERB handles. I just wanted to know how you decided on your CERB handle and any interesting story behind your choice. Mine is Someguy. It just popped up in my head as I was trying to decide my Cerb handle. But it works out good. I'm just someguy on Cerb :) Not that guy, or the other guy just someguy? Well it was the best I could do at that time. Do any of you have any interesting stories to tell us about your CERB handle.

1 pointI think you are overthinking the purpose of seeing sps and mps. The purpose is to skip over the getting to know you and seeing if we have a connection/chemistry/agreement. When you book an appointment, that is your agreement, a sure thing. with mps, as well there isn't full contact so you get massage, relaxation, touch, all combine to make you more comfortable with your decision to do this in the first place. There is no 100% perfect choice, there are only going to be the best possible choice. If you are having trouble with the first step, then i would recommend that you do not go to a spa/parlour, but rather than you connect with someone independent. This is something that you can email/pm first a few times, and see how it goes. Having said that, there are spa attendants (red named mps) who do have profiles here that you can interact with, depending on your location. I don't think a quick handshake and hello is really going to resolve your issue that you mentioned, actually. So a massageapalooza probably not a great way to meet sps and mps lol.

1 pointEven though you don't see too much of her now, Kirsten Dunst was a child star having her debut as Claudia in Interview With The Vampire and then on to Spider-Man fame as Mary Jane. Also, how can we forget dear old Macaulay Culkin and Elijah Wood? Some of these past child stars are seen in fewer and fewer movies, but everyone does take a different passage in life.

1 pointI am really glad you did post it here in public section.... knowing this happens regularly makes me think even more highly about you and the amazing SPs in this industry. This support for each other is the kind of thing that the public does not see about this industry... the compassionate human side.

1 pointI had a history professor in university who was a die hard feminist. One day after class had to go with her back to her office, can't remember why, likely going over outline for a paper. Anyhow walking to her office, she was carrying a bunch of books, a briefcase and her purse. I offered to help carry something for her but she declined. Then we came to a door and she rushed ahead just so I couldn't hold it for her. Second door and any doors from then on I rushed ahead just so I could hold it. Even when we got to her office, she wouldn't hand the books and briefcase to me while fumbling for her keys to unlock the door She just was adamant that women are equal to men and didn't need their help. Me, I saw someone with their hands full and offered to help A rambling RG

That being said, I will say I have been a member at CMJ (since 2012) and I have found it to be the finest facility in the city! The ladies are fabulous, fun, flirty, friendly "Very skilled " and ALL...... drop dead gorgeous!!! OMG!!! The facilities are clean, comfortable and quite secure and the East and West locations are conveniently located (Merrivale Rd. west and Canotek Park east) Happy hobbying my friend!! 1 pointI think most men are creatures of variety, either of the 2 spa's you are mentioning are fabulous. That said, I have also ventured to ALO spa's and Vibe Spa, they are also fabulous, along with all the gorgeous ladies working with all the Spa's in the Ottawa area. I find that there is so many beautiful stunning ladies at all places, it is difficult to make up ones mind which lady to visit ;) I certainly have a quite a list going on now :) good luck to you I'm certain you will enjoy venturing out to either place.

1 pointOoooooooooh I GOT one. That prostitution is the world's oldest profession. Nope. The first guy that had to pay had the first profession. He was a mammoth hunter, or a flint sharpener or a Visigoth mercenary or a saber toothed tiger trainer or something like that. Somebody had to have the money to pay the first SP. What probably is more accurate is that prostitution is the oldest CONTINUOUS profession. Glad I cleared that up for you. Carry on.

1 pointFrom my perspective I want to spend my time with a SP who is happy that i am there and comfortable with me so i would prefer that the SP be very honest up front... just like i am sure she would like me to be. The most successful meetings I have had with ladies is where there has been some sharing of information and interests long before we meet.. it allows for both her and I to determine if that connection is there that will make for a great time together. I would rather that the lady said no thanks then have her not enjoy her time with me as I know that will impact the quality of the session. Just my opinion

1 pointStockings and sexy panties really work for me. The stockings occasionally stay on but the panties at some point of the encounter will come off by teeth, hands or feet, I so love removing this exquiste undergarmet especially when it has become dampened by foreplay.

1 pointThanks Megan! I recently recieved a PM saying: "Yo Gab, 25 year old male here. How much for an hour? I really want to F@!k you." I kindly replied to the "gentleman" and explained that the hour would be free since we would not be spending any time together! MOD, any way of blocking certain members from contacting us again after receiving a PM of this type? Thanks!

1 pointThis is a very common thing with the ladies... Always looking for the "Reason" the business gets slow at times and always looking for answers as to why they get no shows and cancellation more at different times of the year. Most NO SHOWS can be stopped by screening your calls properly. Use the Caller ID and CALL BACK the number to verify it. Most guys will not pull a NO SHOW on someone without having the decency to call and properly cancel if you have their number. They know that come appointment time one very upset SP is going to give them a call asking WTF! It's not 100% but it sure helps for those who screen calls. It also makes the call a little more safer as that phone number is now a connection between the guy and the lady... I doubt someone dangerous is going to want to leave a number that can be traced back to them. Most of the ladies look for reasons when things are slow. I guess most of us do that when the business we are in takes a drop in sales/traffic/work load/etc.... You can spend a good portion of your day trying to figure this one out but it's not really worth the effort. It's WAY easier to just plan for these lows (Put some money aside for the slow periods) and just accept that this is part of EVERY business and it will happen. Stop stressing out and trying to point a finger at what you think is causing the slowness as your just going to convince yourself of something that is probably not correct. We have been tracking patterns in this industry since 1996 and the answer for this is... (Drum roll please)... It has no pattern EXCEPT for a few obvious LOW spots. 1) The end of Aug is SLOW every year! (Kids out of school, getting ready to go back to school, family summer vacations, etc...) This is the most popular summer weekend in the tourist industry!! 2) 1 week before and 1 week after Xmass (No need to explain this one right?) New years day too? NOT... 3) January/February for 2 weeks every year (We sum this up to winter blues and getting your credit card statements from Xmass! but we never know what two weeks it will be but for sure 2 weeks around this time it does drop... one year we did not see this and come April we saw a real low drop for 2 weeks and that was obvious weather patterns (Long winter/early spring ... warm winter/cold spring etc...) it does effect this business and you never know when this is coming exactly... so just put some cash aside for these times. 4) First nice weekend of spring (A lot of the ladies take this time off too) 5) Thanksgiving, Easter, Valentines, long weekends, really large sporting events (etc)... they also effect the business. The rest has NO identifiable pattern. You can try to blame it on the economy as a low economy brings more people into this business causing more competition and the overall amount of "Recreational money" the guys have gets a lot smaller so yes the economy does effect it but a low economy BUT it also brings more guys (New guys) in to the mix as well so it's not hit as hard as one would assume. Remember money and sex are the two big things couples fight about... When the economy drops and the money gets tight the stress levels go up, the fighting between couples goes up and the sex stops!! FACT OF LIFE... and I hate to admit it but that is good for this business for all you ladies!! When economy starts to get good again business will decrease a little at first! It's OPPOSITE of what everyone ASSUMES! As for NO SHOWS... This time of year it will obviously be higher. Kids are still home from school, Family vacations, relatives coming for visits, back to school shopping, etc.. etc... and all those people taking time OFF work for family vacations makes other people have to work more (Overtime to cover shifts, higher work loads, etc) it's all relevant.... A lot of LAST MINUTE things come up this time of the year for the "Family Man" and well... kids and family (for most people) come first so recreational visits take a back seat so stuff will get canceled more this time of year. Picture this... The guy is all ready to come see the lady he has chosen and the door bell rings and it's his brother or uncle or who knows who just "DROPS BY" for a visit... URH!? Probably with his annoying kids and wife... (Many of us have been in similar situations) This happens EVERY YEAR... Come September 17th (Or around that time) once the kids are back in school and the routine is back... things will pick up. Summer sucks as a lot more things can get in the way or throw a guys schedule off. Don't spend all your time looking for reasons why the business slows down.... it happens to EVERY PROVIDER & EVERY BUSINESS ... It can not be busy 100% of the time and it does take a little planning and anticipation.
