5 pointsI am also sorry I missed the social, I had a little snugglebeast of a dog who was not feeling well after routine vaccinations. I hope everyone had a great time!
-
5 pointsIt is a shared responsibility for sure... but I have to say... a good provider (ma or Sp does not need a clock... you become aware of time without even noticing it... yes no one wants to be put on the position of kicking you out the door and ypu should also know that if you reserve a time or an appointment length You are entitle to it.. but at the same time you cannot expect more than what you have prepared for... Personally I like to have time in between appts to allow for some flexibility when needed.. so that neither you as a client, me as a provider .. or even the next schedule appointment gets to suffer... is about everyone being happy ... and spending quality time :)
-
5 pointsThat's an interesting question. I could do the flirty thing and tell you there is no clock. We all know that's not true. We have our schedules and need to balance them with making it feel like a non rushed experience. Here is my opinion, it really depends on you.... A provider never wants to put you in the position where she has to push you out the door. If she needs to have you leave, you will need to be able to read her queues to know when it's time to go. If you are a person who cannot pick up on those subtle messages then you may need to play time cop yourself. It is the providers responsibility to tell you the session is over. It's incumbent on you to be able to read the clues that she is telling you that. It's never fun to have to boldy say it's time to go, and you don't want to to misinterpreted as that client who wants to drag a 45 minute session into 2 hours and stress the lady out. We try as hard as possible to not watch the clock but sometimes we need a little cooperation to keep our schedules. xoxo Kelly

4 pointsI may be out of topic and if I am my apologies to the OP but yesterday I was walking downtown in what was a very wet day with the snow and slushy streets and noticed a man sitting on the sidewalk outside a Starbucks at a very busy intersection and most people wouldn't even bother looking down to see this man who was evidently very cold. It got me thinking if those who expressed indignation toward all those who did not stop to help Meg would stop to try to help this man. I realize are 2 very different circumstances but both are related to what Meg made the topic of discussion: Humanity and compassion. I truly hope we start getting more awareness of these people (homeless) feeling the way Meg felt every day of their lives and stop ignoring them when we walk by them.

4 pointsA big round of applause to these two folks who put so much into making the Socials such a success. Also thx to those who travel from afar to participate, just shows how neat this Cerb community is. Hope to feel well enough to go to the summer bash! Tom Theliquor

4 pointsI don't make recommendations and since I am 500+km from ottawa I would not know myself... but you should post another thread asking other members for suggestions on your interests.... but I suggest you use a little more detail and maybe use the word breasts rather then "tits" (it just sounds a little nicer and wont offend anyone). Being a gentleman goes' a long way here. Using words like tits and being over superficial and generic 'beautiful blonde with big tits' no one will reply as no one will take you seriously, they will think you are a 12 year old boy and report you. Just some tips to help you get started here.
-
4 pointsIt's a shared responsibility, and for that reason it's a good idea to simply assume it's yours. Maintain a general sense of time during the session, and know when it's time to start making motions to go. If you think the SP might genuinely want you to stay longer, you can say something like: "Oh! I see our time's almost up. I'd love to stay and talk some more but I don't want to intrude." If she really wants you to stay, she'll let you know. If not, she'll smoothly find a way to let you know that too. But don't just decide to stick around until she says something: it's kind of inconsiderate to put the SP in a position where she has to ask you to leave. That said, if your sense of time really does slip away from you and you find you've exceeded your appointment's boundaries, then you did the right thing -- offer a tip for your oversight and the additional time you've consumed. I've done exactly this before -- we were so caught up in a discussion and the flow was so natural and comfortable that I didn't notice the time at all, so I gave her something to cover the extra.* Once again, if the SP was just plain enjoying the extra company, she can just decline the tip. But it's her choice, so offer the tip and let her make the decision. * Some years ago, I also made the opposite mistake: one SP and I were getting along famously and I totally lost track of time until just moments before the end of the session. I kind of panicked and very clumsily said something like "Oh! My time is up! Sorry!" and practically leaped to my feet and fled her place while dressing myself. We traded some e-mails later in which I explained, and she said "Yeah, I wondered what was up!" Shame, what a wasted opportunity for a nice evening. I've learned since then.

3 pointsI kind of blame the e-world for the decline in basic humanity. Everyone is plugged in and that has led to a very egocentric society. My rant is based on a minor incident that recently happened to me. While it caused me some minor discomfort, I was able to "give back". I am not sharing this for any type of accolade but as a reminder that people have feelings, needs, requirements, emotions...well, you get the gist. So, this past Sunday I made a trip to Giant Tiger. (Yes, Giant Tiger rocks!!!!) It was about 10am but the lot was pretty full. I parked a fair bit away from the entrance but was confident in my stride as I sported my hiking boots! Twenty steps and down I went. Down hard! (a bump the size of a grapefruit on my thigh, as colourful as pansy!) Of course, first reaction was embarrassment and then a bit of panic. Try as I might I couldn't get up (life call commercial immediately sprang to my mind). Many people around, young'ins, my age, etc. NO ONE STOPPED TO HELP! As I finally realized that I should probably roll over onto my knees, a lovely woman stopped and offered her walker as a lever to get me up. Out of a ton of people over 5 minutes (OR MORE) she is the only one to show me kindness. I helped her shop for the St. Patricks day party she was having at her senior's residence. We had such a great time that I made a great big pot of Corned Beef and Cabbage and brought it over yesterday. Back to why I feel that the e-world may be ruining humanity....no one cares to help anymore! Everyone...hug someone today! Show someone, even if in a small way, that you care about all who surround you!

3 pointsI love this page, it's important and should be seen by everyone. I can no longer rationalize dog breeding. At least not until shelters STOP euthanizing dogs just to make room for more to come in. https://www.facebook.com/IHateDogBreeders

2 pointsIt's a matter of acceptance, the friend in question probably knows what it takes to pull out of their spiral. One mistake is to show them a judgmental stance. You don't turn your back on them, don't necessarily abandon them by maintaining your distance, but have to have assured them that when they do need help even temporarily, that you are there to assist them.
-
2 pointsIt's simple things like these in life (a thread in an online forum this time) that can give you pause and force a reminder of what makes you happy and what's important. This is something I find I need to do on a regular basis when I start to put too much emphasis on all the "crap" we all deal with on a daily basis. If I had seen the thread yesterday morning, I probably would have listed a few things. By the afternoon, though, I was in a foul mood. lol. Anyway, as I get older, it's the simple things I enjoy. Peace, quiet, solitude. The crazy antics of my dogs. A good movie. A good meal. Friends. Family. And so on. I have a feeling that when my time is done, and I look back, there will be few major events that had any long lasting contributions to my enjoyment of life. And if there are, they'll be short lived. So, I'll enjoy the simple things that are available to me every day. :)

2 pointsThank you for your response but your post may make some feel all shelter dogs are mutts. So I thought I should respond. In fact many dogs that enter shelters, through no fault of their own, are pure breeds. But realistically with any dog you are taking "a chance". Yes some dogs/breeds have specific traits- ex: herding abilities, higher exercise needs, some breeds need a job. But make no mistake behaviors are not breed specific. Dogs are dogs. Yes there can be exceptions many times as well. Bull dogs for example-the old English, have a tendency to be low energy. But I've met a few you wouldn't be able to keep up with. When taking home any dog you have to educate yourself about dogs and spend some time with it before you decide to keep it. Shelter dogs especially, come in with little info about their pasts so to know how they'll act and react takes time. However they will allow frequent visits for you to walk and spend time with your chosen one. When choosing a puppy from a reputable breeder, though you know I'd prefer adoption, that breeder should know the pups and be able to help you select the one best for you. As far as mixed/mutt breeds I don't agree that you are taking more of a chance. All dogs need exercise, good food and a consistent responsible loving owner, with that any dog no matter the breed or mix of breeds will be a loyal and loving , well behaved pet. The problem with people and dogs are the misunderstandings. Aggression and other behaviors are often misread, and a bad diet, sickness, pain lack of exercise can cause a dog to appear aggressive or having other behavior issues. Dogs that destroys/chews things may be frustrated from lack of exercise, possibly it needs a job, or it could have separation anxiety, or something else going on. Dogs want to please so if there is negative behavior you or someone who has handled or had that dog is or has done something wrong. Thank you for your post:)

2 pointsGreat comments on an important topic. Here is another link for STD/STI risks. http://www.sfcityclinic.org/stdbasics/stdchart.asp
-
2 pointsNaturally I agree completely that disreputable "breeders" suck and should be hounded (ha ha!) out of business. But reputable breeders are cool. What I would like to see changed is some people's automatic assumption that a breeder is the only good place to get a dog. As Cristy points out, there are shelters aplenty with wonderful dogs who need a good home. I'd love to get the word out that there's not just virtue in rescuing a dog, there's a real reward in the loving pets you can bring into your life this way. Rescue dogs don't need to have unmanageable "issues"; they can be marvellous. Sigh... back in the '90s I rescued a tiny little dog with my partner at the time. The little creature had awkward limbs and broken teeth from lifelong confinement breeding puppies... but once she learned to trust us she was marvelous. I could tell stories... About five years later she shuffled off this mortal coil, but those were five very good years (I like to think her best). This reminds me too of this story I saw recently. I haven't done the checking to be certain it's all true, but I think it is: Ode to a rescued dog

2 pointsYou have a greater chance of getting an STD / STI from a one-night-stand than you do from a professional escort. (But there is always a risk when having sex with another person). I have never hear of any sprays or ointments. That said, Always check with the SP before using such items. The following should be common sense for most people: Good personal hygiene - wash and inspect your privates daily. "Practice makes perfect" - Learn the correct way to put on and take off a condom - Practice, practice, practice - Yes, that means masturbating using condoms. Immediately after sex - remove the condom and wash your hands & genital area. Educate yourself about condoms - Some types of condoms only offer protection from pregnancy. You can still catch a STD / STI using a condom - But the risk is less. Educate yourself on what some of the STD's / STI's look like - Not all are visible. Dental dams may be used to perform oral sex on a woman. Following oral sexy use an antiseptic mouth wash. Get tested regularly. http://www.fda.gov/ForConsumers/byAudience/ForPatientAdvocates/HIVandAIDSActivities/ucm126372.htm With all that in mind. Relax, be a gentleman, treat her like a lady, and have a good time. ;) Still feeling apprehensive - see a Massage Provider. There is no intercourse or oral sex, but you still have a happy ending. ;)
-
2 pointsUsing the search feature on CERB would show there are four pages of threads dealing with STD's/STI's http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/search.php?searchid=3905132 Really the only one hundred percent way to be safe from STD's/STI's is abstinence, well just stick to masturbation Everything else, even a condom, is risk reduction, not elimination, so besides practicing safe sex get yourself tested regularly (me once every two months) and remember, your sexual health is your responsibility RG

2 points"Not just the SP situation either. There is some kind of general malaise about Winnipeg that is getting worse, especially in the last couple of years. This town is so fucking grim." It's called the NDP :) Peace MG
-
2 pointsMeg, I'm sorry you had such a rough experience. Glad you're OK! I think people should keep hope though. People seem to always think other people are getting worse over time. Have you ever heard the quote: "The children now love luxury. They have bad manners, contempt for authority, they show disrespect to their elders.... They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents, chatter before company, gobble up dainties at the table, cross their legs, and are tyrants over their teachers." Sound like kids today? Yet that line is generally attributed to Socrates and is over 2000 years old. There are bad people out there. And some things do get worse. But I find I can stay happier by trying to focus on the positive. Consider, if you go back just a generation or two, if a husband beat up his wife society would turn a blind eye and stay hushed about it much more than it does today. And while discrimination is still undeniably entrenched, our society has made amazing progress in terms of racism, sexism, and homophobia. Basically, when we talk of "people now-a days", there's as much good as bad depending on your focus, and our memories of the past are often through rose-tinted glasses. Don't get me wrong, there is rudeness and apathy out there a plenty. But just as some things get worse other things tend to improve, and there are and will always be many wonderful folk out there as well. All we can each do is our own little part and try to focus on the good...not that a little fist shake and justified rant doesn't feel good now and then too! :)
-
2 pointsEverything can become mundane if done to much, to often or doesn't hold it's excitement or challenges any longer. The reasons may be many and varied, only you know. Nothing wrong with moving on, taking a break or just waiting. We all have to do what's right for us, but do it without blame and be happy:) Additional Comments: This doesn't sound like boredom, more fed up, or frustration. Yes our prices rise, they have to, as everything else does. As far as asking for pictures, if this occurs a lot then there are reasons. Remember we have to feel secure and safe with whom we meet, we also need to know we are meeting you-the person you say you are. With disposable phones and one use emails etc it's gets easier and easier for the game players. If I can't verify a gents info then I'll ask for an emailed copy of his license. I'm a professional, my job is discretion so to question my trust or another pro's isn't necessary. I apologize if services are being cut, this I don't understand unless there are issues at hand, hygiene or something else for example. In the end this is as exciting as YOU want it to be. The key is finding YOUR right girl/girls and I hope you do:)

1 pointhttp://www.foxnews.com/politics/2014/03/21/hawaii-police-urge-lawmakers-to-let-undercover-cops-have-sex-with-prostitutes The Associated Press contributed to this report. Police officers have a message for state lawmakers: Undercover officers need to be able to have sex with prostitutes. It's a message they're pressing as legislators weigh a bill that would crack down on prostitution. As part of that bill, lawmakers initially did away with an existing exemption allowing officers on duty to have sex with prostitutes during investigations. But after testimony from Honolulu officers, the bill was amended to restore that protection. The revised proposal has passed the state House and will go before a Senate committee Friday. Authorities say they need the legal protection to catch lawbreakers in the act, and strict internal controls prohibit misconduct. "The procedures and conduct of the undercover officers are regulated by department rules, which by nature have to be confidential," Honolulu Police Maj. Jerry Inouye recently told the House Judiciary Committee. "Because if prostitution suspects, pimps and other people are privy to that information, they're going to know exactly how far the undercover officer can and cannot go." But critics, including human trafficking experts and other police, say it's unnecessary and can further victimize sex workers, many of whom have been forced into the trade. Expert Derek Marsh says the exemption is "antiquated at best" and that police can easily do their jobs without it. "It doesn't help your case, and at worst you further traumatize someone. And do you think he or she is going to trust a cop again?" asked Marsh, who trains California police in best practices on human trafficking cases and twice has testified to Congress about the issue. It's not immediately clear whether there are similar provisions in place elsewhere either at the state law or department policy level. But advocates were shocked that Hawaii provides an exemption to prostitution laws for police, suggesting it's an invitation for misconduct. "Police abuse is part of the life of prostitution," said Melissa Farley, the executive director of the San Francisco-based group Prostitution Research and Education. Farley said that in places without such police protections "women who have escaped prostitution" commonly report being coerced into giving police sexual favors to keep from being arrested or harassed. The Hawaii bill aims to ratchet up penalties on johns and pimps while leaving the punishment for selling sex as a petty misdemeanor. Police haven't said how often -- or even if -- they use the exemption. But when they asked legislators to preserve it, they made assurances that internal policies and procedures are in place to prevent officers from taking advantage of it. Democratic state Rep. Karl Rhoads, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, said Inouye's testimony convinced him to amend the proposal. "It's a really murky area," said Rhoads, who represents a district that includes Honolulu's Chinatown, a longstanding epicenter of street prostitution. "I was reluctant to interfere in something that they face all the time. If they think it's necessary to not have it in the statute, this is one area where I did defer to them and say, 'I hope you're not having sex with prostitutes.'" There have been instances of police being accused of victimizing sex workers across the nation. In Philadelphia, a former officer is on trial facing charges of raping two prostitutes after forcing them at gunpoint to take narcotics. A former West Sacramento, Calif., officer is awaiting sentencing after being found guilty of raping prostitutes in his police cruiser while on patrol. And last year in Massachusetts, a former police officer pleaded guilty to extorting sex from prostitutes he threatened with arrest. Rhoads, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, said he knew of no reason to believe Honolulu police are out of line. "All allegations of misconduct are investigated and the appropriate disciplinary action taken," said Michelle Yu, Honolulu police spokeswoman, in an email.

1 pointI respectfully disagree with the sentiment of this thread. Maybe it's because where I came from is one of the worst places I've ever been to, but I truly feel that people here will take the time to help. I got into an accident a long time back, and I have no idea if it was the shock or something else, but I felt like 5 seconds later, there were people helping me recover (Still have no idea how they were able to get there that quickly). Within 5 minutes, there were about 5 people around offering me water, some dude just threw a jacket over me, and a bunch of other things that I can't remember. It wasn't that they were one group, as far as I remember, 3 different cars stopped to help. They just clicked and helped me, and for that I will be eternally grateful. I have been on the receiving end, or witness to countless of kind acts. Winter usually brings out the community in us, pushing out stuck cars, shoveling neighbour driveways. Someone I know was t-boned. He was completely not at fault, but the other person felt like shit. My friend actually calmed him, gave the other driver his own gloves and scarf because he was feeling cold. Sometimes you are just in a bad situation with people for some reason or the other won't help. From my own experiences, I feel these situations are more the exception rather then the norm.
-
1 pointI think from now on I'll set my own alarm for about 10-15 minutes past my time just in case. I think I can usually read the "time's up" clues. If I'm offered to wash up or the girl gets dressed or asks me "when will I see you again?" I assume that's saying that my time's up or almost up without her explicitly saying so. I don't wanna be seen as the kind of client who is purposefully trying to extend his appointment as long as possible.

1 pointI'm happy Ice4fun:) I didn't know this was happiness day thank you for letting us know:). Maybe that's why I've been in such a great mood. Weather wise it's been a gloomy day but today was a great day for me because I had a great workout, my dogs are good, I've met some sexy new men, going out to have some fun, drink wine and eat good food. Life is good:) What makes me happy on other days-when a homeless dog I've met becomes homed. When I hear from my best friend and she is happy when the sun shines when my online friend sends me one of his funny jokes when someone pays me a compliment or smiles my way Knowing that there are many good days are ahead:)

1 pointTo some degree, though, I wonder if most people today aren't scared off for getting involved for fear of being sued or hung out to dry as a witness, or worse, a suspect. "Don't get involved" seems to be the mantra of the day. It would be a better world if people could help one another. But that's not always rewarded today, and is often punished. Not hard to see how we arrived at this point!

1 pointJust came back from an appointment with my daughter and her husband where she had an ultrasound of her baby. It was pretty amazing! Baby apparently is the size of a large tomato, and you can see every feature of a human being! They even had what they called 4D images - 3D plus motion so we watched arms and legs and head and heart beating and lips moving. Ha ha. This future grandfather is pretty intrigued!
