I'm currently an Executor of a fairly large estate. It's a serious job and time consuming. Be sure to fully understand the responsibility involved. That being said this estate comes with a little bit of what some may view as controversy others wouldn't. When asked, I read the will and offered no narrative at all and agreed provided he sit down with the named beneficiaries and walk them through it so if there were issues they'd arise now and could be explained and not down the road when I could be left to explain them or be asked to explain them. Once that was done I was good to go. There could still be an issue but I can at least say......"you were told and had the opportunity raise concerns then"... now I am legally obligated to act on the deceased wishes as outlined. I disagree with this framing. I think there's a movement toward being more deliberate and choosey about our interactions with others, rather than avoiding them all together. People may opt to shop online from the comfort of home rather than deal with interacting with strangers at the mall, but for many people, shopping is about getting a certain product into their hands. Human interactions in shopping are at best neutral, and at worst something annoying to be endured. Today we have more options than ever before for ways to engage with others, and while many decry how people are always looking at their cell phones, I think that facilitating interactions with other people is one of the biggest uses of technology these days. I think we are and will continue to see the same trends with how technology interacts with sexuality. There's an unprecedented amount easily accessible porn for every taste out there, and an amazing variety of sex toys for all genders and bodies. We have more options than ever before for getting sexual pleasure without human interactions. Yet many people are still choosing to interact with a live human, be it by seeing an escort, phone sex, or paying for live cam shows. I've been following this site for a long time now, and it is amazing how often the same, issues, concerns and complaints come up. Things that should be obvious often are not. I thought it might help if I compiled a summery of some of the more common concerns for the newbie section. Hopefully it will help get some of the new gents to the hobby off on the right foot. There may be some here that don't apply to all people or situations, but these are some of the more common ones I have seen over the years: 1. Do your homework first. Nobody likes to have to spend time writing out answers to questions they have already provided answers for on their website or ad. 2. Be respectful during the initial contact. Being abrupt or rude is definitely a bad start. 3. Don't be too explicit. The laws are such that everyone is restricted in what can be said. Some are more careful than others with this, but remember that you are simply compensating for her time. That's all. Asking for anything more specific will often get you no reply at all. 4. Don't haggle. This is not a flea market. Nothing kills the mood faster than telling someone that they are worth less than they think they are. If she is out of your price range, move on politely. 5. If you have to cancel, let her know ASAP. Life sometimes gets in the way of the best laid plans. Their time is their source of income and they have promised some of it to you. At least give them some notice if you won't be able to make it. If you can't give notice, consider offering to compensate her. It has already cost her the time, whether or not you were there. (E-transfers can make this super easy.) ....And just not showing up without letting her know at all is so incredibly disrespectful and uncool. (and a sure way to get yourself black listed.) Just don't do it. 6. If you are sick, cancel. Nobody wants your illness. (But see number 5) 7. Hygiene -It shocks me how often this one comes up. It is for your own benefit to not have her repulsed during your time together. Take a shower and brush your teeth as close to the appointment as possible. If you can't, then ask if she has shower facilities. Many do. (But remember it is on your time.) oh... and wear deodorant! 8. If she asks you to take a shower before hand.... take one. It means one of two things. a) She has a policy that all clients take one, or b) you smell. Either way, it is the same answer: Take the shower if she asks. 9. Respect her time. This means being on time, but not early. Not always easy to be precise, but do what you can. If you are late, don't expect that she will let you stay later to make up for it. Also, don't expect her to be ready early just because you showed up early. Remember, you have an appointment. Respecting her time also means leaving when your time is up without having to be asked over and over. 10. Have the envelope ready at the beginning of the date. Don't make her ask. It kills the mood. I just place it on the dresser or table as I walk in. They can address it or not as they see fit. Of course, all of these points can be summed up with two words: "show respect". If you use that as a guideline, you can't go wrong. I know there are some points that I have missed and some that not everyone will agree with. Remember, this isn't my list. I am not From Winnipeg but as I read this thread I am struck by the fact that the situation is probably not that much different here in St. John's.... I think the local market here has been flooded with reduced service level BP ads where providers are competing based upon cost and as a result making it harder for more reputable local and touring ladies who may charge more but provide an extremely better experience that in my opinion is actually cheaper if all factors are taken into account. Many BP ads quote rates that are designed to attract our eye but in fact are not the actual cost of the actual services we are looking for... everything is an extra... ie. yeah I do that but it's more. Many BP ads are for ladies whose actual in call location is nothing like the high end hotels in their pictures and as we all know too well the their pictures even when actual pictures of them are not truly representative of their current appearance. There is good reasons why Lyla ladies and other professionals in this business charge more it's because to operate professionally in this industry they have to invest in themselves... photos... gym... healthy eating.... periods away from work for rejuvenation to say nothing of the cost associated for travel... incall locations etc. Guys... we get what we pay for... if we pass up on the wonderful Lyla lady for the $80 hh special then we should not be surprised if the local lady moves along and the touring gems stop including our smaller market cities in their schedule. Now before I get called on for beating up on BP let me just just that it can be a great advertising location...an is used by many many very reputable high end providers I'm just saying the onus is on us clients to do the homework... verify the ads... share our experience and not look to always get a deal that all to often is not really a deal at all..... if you pay $80 for hh instead of $300 for an hour but actually only stay $15 minutes and leave without even your $80 expectations met have you really saved any money?
