This thread has degenerated in to name calling and mud slinging from all angles. Most of which as far as I can tell has very little to do with the current thread as it does very strong personality conflicts. As a client who actually lives in St. John's and visits with SP's in this city please let me provide some "legitimate" insight into what has actually occured as a result of this news story. Some of the story was indeed true St. John's and Newfoundland in general is a boom economy. There is significant excess disposible income available to enjoy lifes luxuries including the company of professional companions. Is there money to be made here? Yes! Is it a gold mine? No! Not every lady will succeed the same way. What many of the people that will be reading these posts don't comprehend is our culture. Yes, our province is undergoing a transition however in most respects our province and its population are still old school puritan in their thinking. What may be considered mainstream and accepted in other cities just does not jive here. As much as Newfoundlanders would like to make people believe that we are as metropolitan as anyone else it's simply not the case. Over the past few days this story has generated significant debate and discussion on radio shows and around water coolers. What they all are talking about is not, Emily, Kiessy or any other lady by name. It's not their websites. What everyone talks about is just a couple of statements made by the SP that was interviewed. First one is the $28000 in three week statement which was made in a in your face bragging way. I know there might be debate about the figures but that's irrelevant. The amounts are out there and quite frankly shocked the public into listening to the rest of the information (CBC knew this would happen it's the attention grabber). Second, it was the truthful but perceived boastful comment that, "SP's are filling the need that wives and girlfriends can't" (paraphrase). People were shocked and like a cold bucket of water to the face were awakened to this industry in it own back yard. People will now look for it where they didn't before. People here took those comments that were made directly by the interviewed SP (not CBC) as somewhat offensive and an afront to the beliefs of our province as a people. Now I don't believe that the SP that was interviewed had any intention to blab out things that ad fuel to fires but CBC journalists are specifically trained to ask questions that will lead you and get them the juicy amswers they want (the sound bites). I have received weeks of media training and I would be extremely cautious on sitting down with a reporter that surely had an agenda. The reporter will not stop until he has a story and he will lead you to say things that you would never normally say. It is for this reason I believe that this SP or any SP (including Emily)should avoid being put in a position of having to answer questions. Due to the firestorm that has ensued from this interview and news story the prostution scene is now under a microscope in St. John's. Everyone involved will have to really be looking over their shoulder wondering if now we have a sting happening. They smell blood in the water because sex sells therefore they will milk this for all they can for the next little while. I have an appointment to meet a lady tomorrow and quite frankly I'm nervous about it where I wasn't before. Sure ladies that got singled out have reason to be concerned now but I'm sure that eventually it'll be ok again. We had a good thing going here, ladies made good money, clients were happy and excited with all the visits from touring ladies and the hotels were happy with all the discreet business. With all this brought front and centre it just makes it more difficult for everyone which is what none of us wants. The best most discrete hotel in the city has been compromised now by a lady who doesn't even use it. If she was so free and open why did she not use her own incall location instead of compromising the location for many others. It's just bad all around. This has very much pissed me off that someone could be so careless with the safety of clients and SP's. As for the antics of CBC being underhanded, it's to be expected, they're scum and probably lurking this post right now. They'll never let ethics get in the way of a good story. Stay safe everyone!

Bigger city, a lot more ladies, way more competition..eesh I am glad to live in Ottawa. With that being said, yes there is a big percentage of Montreal sp's on the low end of the scale, but this is also home to many high end ladies-which I have a great deal of respect for because they value themselves accordingly and refuse to cave . I find the cheap rates & high volume combo is the perfect recipe for a mental breakdown, so I choose not to go by this method, keeps me happy and sane too. I choose this profession because of all the perks such as choosing my own working hours , my rates and services. The thought of having to follow what all of the other ladies are doing would be so depressing and very bad for my moral.

I took out some of the numbers form the phone number just in case the mod took exception. The SP's name is Nikki, she is one of the Quebec girls with the black pimp. Total Bait and Switch I was at work, horny and stupid. Broke several of my rules. Booked a girl who was only on BP. Was at work, so couldn't search her name on PERB for warning, spidey sense went off several times and ignored it. They use an Alberta number, but they are from Quebec. Why a service charges what they do is their business, to want all services to charge the same, unreasonable and silly, a little like sps wanting all clients to have the same size penis. Rates aren't about follow the leader. We all have our reasons to charge what we charge, its been discussed and explained before. To dicker over 20-30$ seems petty after all this service isn't a necessity like food or clothing its a luxury so shopping for the best buy instead of the best experience will only result in disappointments.

As a bit of a nervous first-timer who knew no one, I was not sure what to expect of THE renowned social. The immediate warm greeting and introductions by Angela and Old Dog set me at ease, and *poof*, off into the warm world of the Ottawa CERB community, in the flesh, was I. And what flesh! (the ladies'; mine, not so much) So you think Senators coach Paul Maclean was bug-eyed... As important, the warmness, abundance of personality, shared laughter, and the beginning of what I hope are friendships all made for such a great time. Speaking as a client and a man if an SP ever felt the need to pounce it would be welcomed. Even though playful it would go a long way to reassuring me that she actually did enjoy my company and not just my donation. Hi there, I am going to say this, don't be nervous, the whole point of hobbying and providing is to enjoy yourself physically and mentally. If you go in with a nervous mindset you will not enjoy yourself. As someone who has been on both ends of the track being open about things, especially it being your first time is good because honesty goes a long way, especially if you really click and want to enjoy the same lady again; I am assuming lady, so pardon me if I am incorrect. Some things that I have found have helped with people who are new/virgins: 1) Let the provider guide you, they after all know more about being intimate, know what works with most with people to get them to enjoy themselves. 2) If you like something, be vocal about it. This way the provider can know what gets you going and what doesn't. Also if you DO NOT like something, be vocal about this as well. I can relate to what you're saying. On a 30 minute apt, I am usually talking to my clients while they are getting undressed.. small talk things like that and it makes for an easier transition while taking their clothes off. Once on the bed, then it's time for a different sort of language. lol. On shorter appts, I find that there is a few minutes for my clients to relax and have a few minutes of pillow at the end if that's what they want while offering them a massage. Some clients just prefer to get up and get dressed because they have time constraints and while I used to be an SP who only did hour appts, I have grown accustomed to half hour appts and while there can be some sort of conversation worked in, it just flows naturally at a quicker pace. It just happens when greeted at the front door, getting undressed and once the session is ending as opposed to a one hour session and sitting on a sofa. I have many great half hour clients and with my one hour clients, I also head straight to the bedroom but it is not done in a way that represents the clock watcher attitude. My demeanor is genuine and natural. Conversation happens... it's just in the bedroom before, during and after. And if a client is still there in 32 minutes and not rushing him out at the 29th minute, that could be a repeat client in the future.

Speaking of misnamed critters...we had a dog and cat named Casey and Finnegan (after the puppets in Mr. Dressup). Finnegan was a boy cat so he got the dogs name.

I love dogs, especially big dogs and mostly Rotties. However, my short dog (won't call her little), has given me an appreciation of those dogs that are not large breeds. So my vote goes to Toto on the Wizard of Oz.

I have a soft spot for Marley because that movie came out about a year after I got my yellow lab and she looks and (used to) act just like the dog in the movie! To this day kids at the park call her Marley! I also love sled dogs so the whole team from 8 Below (especially the two big Malamutes) and the white huskie from Iron Will.

Emily, I am sorry for all you have been put through. I find it incredibly creepy that they hunted you for a quick dirty shot on the news. Personally, I found the article infuriating. The media has a tendency to spin things the way they see fit. They also focus on the negative; after all, "shock value" makes for better news. Sigh. The entire report itself was nothing more than a bunch of uneducated guesses about a lifestyle that remains a mystery - the way it's meant to. CBC Radio Noon's program "crosstalk" had their program yesterday about whether or not prostitution should be decriminalized. I wrote in an email, which they read "part of" on the show. Since then I have been asked to do a radio interview AND a TV interview - both of which I declined. I am NOT interested in them spinning my words to make for better news. They also wanted to focus on the time I spend with my disabled clients. I have far too much respect for my clients to expose them that way. In regards to the hotel used, I enquired about that. It was CBC who arranged the location. If I was the owner/manager of that well respected hotel, I would NOT be happy with that kind of exposure. I am willing to guarantee that CBC didn't have their permission for that either.

Things can happen to all of us..., unexpected... my take is, i understand but the problem is when u become a repeat canceller.. STRIKE 1, STRIKE 2 AND YOU ARE OUT.... It has not been the case to have to do that yet, specially with CERB gentlemen.... And i know with the gentlemen that i already know that if they cancel is because something has come out and i would never black list them or apply the 1, 2, 3 out rule...or even think about penaklzing them.... What if is me the one that has to cancel next time...
