  1. Just wondering if anyone’s met Raquel yet... I know she’s on the board here and relatively new, but I haven’t seen any ads posted anywhere. Perhaps she’s still getting settled and hasn’t started seeing clients yet... any feedback? Thanks.
  2. Great post, Katie. It’s wise to establish boundaries and keep them in place. When I meet someone new, I may offer a few insights on myself to start a conversation, but generally I’ll take my cue from the lady I’m seeing. I’m always careful not to venture into areas that may be considered personal or inappropriate, as I want whom I’m seeing to feel comfortable. The only exception is someone I’ve been seeing for 12+ years... she’s like an old friend, so we do discuss aspects of our personal lives, but only because we’ve known each other for so long, and some boundaries break down naturally over time...
  3. Katherine, you’re absolutely right in everything you’ve said in your post. Complete transparency on the client’s part would be the ideal; However, if you ask me C-36 is to blame for the reluctance to provide a lot of personal info. It’s very unfortunate for everyone involved, and does indeed detract from a sense of openness. Thus, the comfort level may be compromised somewhat. I’m extremely disappointed in our hypocritical PM. If he was really so concerned with women’ rights, he would have repealed the law ages ago. Instead, he’s concerned only with championing HIS version of feminism when it suits HIM. He’s just like every other politician, only worse! The next election can’t come soon enough... P.S. Just press the “quote” button at the bottom of the post you wish to respond to, and it will be included with your reply.
  4. There are some nice, reasonably priced places in Clayton Park... that’s about 10 to 15 minutes from downtown. The closer you get to the city center, of course the more expensive the rent. I remember years ago, I lived on Spring Garden Road (downtown, south end) right in the heart of everything. I lucked out since I got a great apartment for a steal! Lol The downside was that, being prime real estate, the rent went up like clockwork. Bedford is a nice area (suburbs) but may be a bit more pricey. It might take a bit of looking and a bit of luck to find your perfect spot. Dartmouth (across the harbour) also has some decent areas which are reasonably priced. Hope this helps!
  5. Case in point - Some of you may remember a stellar agency in Toronto by the name of Allison’s Adoring Angels. I recall making a booking in the early 2000’s, and when the lady showed up, it was evident that her photos had been heavily photoshopped. I wondered why, as I found the lady much more appealing in person than in her photos...
  6. I may be in the minority, but I would like it if all SP’s would be completely honest regarding their age / recent photos. Most definitely are, but for those who feel the need to fib a little, I feel it’s completely unnecessary. I’ve been with ladies ranging in age from 18 to 60++ and they’ve all been perfect in every way. I love all women and cherish their natural radiant beauty, so for me at least, the perennial age/photo debate is a non-issue. Just mho.
  7. Thanks for the clarification. Do you really feel Trudeau can pull off another majority? I was thinking more along the lines of a minority government. Reason being, Trudeau’s abysmal handling of economic issues has a whole slew of people (mainly in the west) chomping at the bit to oust him. My feeling is that the conservative vote will be split between Scheer and Maxime Bernier, thus resulting in a Liberal minority government. That’s just my humble opinion, however. Nevertheless, assuming Trudeau does eek out a majority, it would be nice to see him put his money where his mouth is by repealing the current law governing prostitution and set things right by giving the industry its rightful say...
  8. For a really great read, check out a book called “Between The Sheets - Rise Of A Working Stiff” by Logan Pierce. It’s a first hand account of what it’s like to transition into the porn industry, and the accompanying highs, lows and numerous pitfalls that exist. I got mine shipped direct, and Logan even autographed it for me! It’s a book you won’t be able to put down once you start reading it. I’ve also seen it for sale on Amazon. Alternatively, you can also order it from Carter Cruise (porn starlet) on her website: cruisecult.com
  9. I stumbled on August Ames work last year by accident, while I was searching for something else. I didn’t realize she’d passed away until I read this article... This story is both uplifting and tragic in a multitude of ways. On the surface, you have a young and impressionable local Nova Scotian leaving the confines of small town life to find fame, fortune and love in the big city... a typical fairytale, or is it? In L.A. She became part of a community of fellow actors who looked out for one another. Yet it would be members of this same group who would play a part in her untimely demise. If you look a bit deeper, it’s not so much a story about porn as it is about the failure of societal safeguards to keep pace with ever changing technology. Cyber bullying is now a universal problem which has the potential to affect anyone, although the young are particularly vulnerable. Add mental illness into the mix, and a dearth of readily available medical professionals to offer assistance, and you have powderkeg waiting to erupt. Could this young lady’s life have been saved with the proper intervention? I don’t know, but I wonder at the untold possibilities in a budding life if it had... a life now tragically cut short. I hope if nothing else, stories such as these offer pause for thought, and to that end - reflections on the consequences of words in a tweet, sent by the push of a button, behind a wall of anonymity....
  10. Happy New Year to one and all... it will be interesting to see whether or not Justin Trudeau’s Justice Minister follows through on her planned review of C-36... No doubt, they are likely hoping to sweep it under the rug, and us along with it. Nevertheless, the government should be held to account. Hopefully, the London court case / challenge scheduled to go ahead next month will spur some renewed discussion on this topic.

  12. Same to you, Cato... here’s to a healthy and prosperous New Year!

  14. All the more reason to decriminalize the industry altogether. That way, if someone comes across something nefarious, they’ed have no qualms about reporting it to LE. However, as it stands now with C-36, hobbyists would likely think twice about getting involved, lest they are interrogated themselves. A perfect example how a law that ostensibly purports to protect sexworkers by combating trafficking is having the opposite effect.
  15. Yup... the old saying rings true here: If it’s not broken, don’t fix it!
  16. To answer your question, the ladies set their own rates, which by and large are fixed. That said, a lady may decide from time to time to offer a special, but that is completely up to her. Some do, some don’t. As long as you are seeing upscale ladies, there’s no reason to assume it’s a scam or anything else nefarious. However, do not try to haggle or negotiate, ever. That is considered extremely poor form and may get you blacklisted. Moreover, I feel the ladies are underpaid for the ways they enrich our lives through their companionship. You can’t put a price tag on a truly memorable experience.
  17. I agree... it would be nice to have all previous visitor messages (and for that matter, the friends list especially!) restored to the profiles.
  18. The key is blending in, and not drawing attention to one’s self... just mho.
  19. Business casual, or just plain casual is perfect! I like the girl next door look, and the lady can always wear something more provocative underneath for later! 😉
