Has anyone had any experience in the CR with blonde Bianca during the afternoon? Remember her from Barb's (many years ago) and from a time when she was at the 'Mate in the evenings/latenight and in both settings her CR approach was quite conservative. While this was to be expected at Barb's at that time, she certainly seemed to be far more conservative than the typical dancer at the PM when she was a nighttime dancer there. Wondering if she is a bit closer to the more usual afternoon PM dancer or if she still on the restrictive side during her visits to the CR. Any opinions/info would be much appreciated - feel free to message via PM if this is preferable.

Seemed that J. was not overly intrusive that afternoon. Only saw her enter the CR area once from about 1:00 to 2:30 or so. That is my memory of the afternoon.

Wednesday afternoon (7/10) found the 'Mate much the same as on most recent visits. Ashley, Adora, Delicious, blonde Bianca, dark-haired Bianca, Lana, ebony Sarah and two other ebonies who were pretty well the opposite in terms of their look, one slender and the other ultra-curvy. One dancer (Precious?) unfamiliar to me. Usual size afternoon crowd and reasonable traffic to the CR.

Friday afternoon (5/10) at the 'Mate was reasonably active - about average for the club. Noticed Ashley, Delicious, Lana, Sarah, blonde Bianca, ebony Vanessa, and a few dancers unkown to me. Typical afternoon at the PM.

Perhaps I shouldn't be posting this in the PM thread, but those who were/are fans of Vegas (formerly of the 'Mate) may be interested to know that she's now dancing at Casino Cabaret. Not sure about her long-term plans/schedule, but she told me she'll be there tomorrow (4/11) until about 6.

It has been rumoured that the dancer nown as Vegas (fairly heavily inked, well-built, pretty blonde) has recently been seen at Casino Cabaret. Vegas was most recently at the 'Mate (I think) but has danced at the 'Fax, Pigale and, in the distant past, Barb's. If anyone has seen her at Casino Cabaret (or elsewhere), I'd be very interested in hearing about any confirmed sightings. Update: Vegas tells me that she is indeed dancing at Casino Cabaret - not sure what her long-term plans/schedule might be, but she says she'll be there tomorrow (4/11) until about 6.

This makes me a bit regretful that I was not able to attend at the end of Barb's. On the other hand, I have somewhat mixed feelings about seeing dancers after they have stopped dancing. Might have been nice to see Jenny again and more generally to soak in the atmosphere one last time. Had been hoping that Jenny would stay until the very end as it seemed to be on the horizon when she had her last day in '16......but some things just have to change.

Friday (3/15) afternoon at the 'Mate was not especially busy but the CR seemed quite active as the day progressed. Ashley, both Biancas, Adora, Delicious, Lana and a two striking ebony ladies (Shayla and Kitty?) were in attendance. Delicious looked great on stage and Adora was recognizable but startlingly different with her hair so much shorter. Jasmine appeared to be monitoring the CR fairly frequently and I think some of the dancers found this to be a bit disconcerting. Have not seen Candy (who was such a regular) on a number of recent visits and Mia did not seem to be in the club on this day either.

Ottawa Citizen article re the closing of The Glue Pot/Barbarella's in which it's suggested that business has fallen about 60% at Barb's in recent years and that "most" of the dancers will be heading to the 'Fax. While I have not been to the 'Mate evenings/latenight for several (8 or 9) years, there was a time when I often stayed until closing (usually on Friday or Saturday nights, but other days as well) and I never had any trouble in the locale. There were a few nights when I would even wait for the last No. 2 bus (before this became the 12) but on these occasions, it would be an hour or so before closing. When leaving at 2:00, I rarely encountered anyone at all on the surrounding streets. Seem to recall seeing patrol cars in the area quite often at these times, mostly cruising down Montreal Rd. and looking north. All this is not to say that the neighbourhood is altogether genteel and I suppose if one had to walk Montreal Rd. from St. Laurent to the river every night (morning) between 2:00 and 3:00 for, say, a year there might be some cause for concern as the odds of an 'incident' would build up. Then again, on "brightly-lit" Montreal Rd. perhaps one might not be at that much risk. Suspect that one might have more concern about raccoon attacks at the Rideau St. macadonarudo.

After all of the years of speculation and discussion regarding this, it seems like the end is now in sight. Suppose it had to happen. Take it that the info about the March 22 date has been sourced from someone in a position to know. Not sure if I'll be able to attend in the evening on that day, but will make a special effort to be there at least sometime during the afternoon. Hope that others will make plans to try to attend as well, especially those who have been regular contributors to the threads relating to Barb's over the years.

Sorry, did not hear her announced by DJ (did not see her on stage). Maybe some PM regulars know the name of this dancer......

Dropped by the 'Mate Friday afternoon (1/25) a bit past 1:30 and found things to be somewhat quiet but not altogether moribund. Noticed Ashley, Lana, Martia, Delicious, Biancas both blonde and dark-haired, ebony Kimberley and a few dancers unknown to me - one rather curvy and quite heavily inked and another who was a very striking (light) ebony, very tall, ultra-leggy and really pretty girl.

Ouch.

Candy used to be almost as much of an afternoon regular as (daytime) Ashley, but in recent months I've been surprised when stopping by the 'Mate to have seen her on only one of my last four visits. Now this may be nothing but happenstance and I don't claim to be a very regular patron, so it may be that she is in almost as often as she seemed to be in the more distant past. I'd guess that your best bet would be a Wednesday or Friday afternoon but I suppose I'd say that about any of the regulars - those afternoons seem to have the most dancers attending in my (admittedly limited) experience.

Would be interested to know when the last day will be - definitely would make a special effort to be present sometime on the last day to recall the past and enjoy a final visit to Barb's.

It seems that the "tall blonde" in question is indeed 'Bianca'. While I did not speak to her on a recent (12/14) afternoon visit to the 'Mate, I immediately recognized blonde Bianca from evenings at both the 'Mate (where she sometimes went by 'Britney') and Barb's. I remember her as an evening regular at Barb's many years ago. Friday (12/14) at the PM was as busy as I've seen it in the afternoon for a very long time. Even though the weather might have discouraged some clubgoers, there was apparently a Customer Appreciation event (a buffet was put out at about 3:00 or so) and this may have drawn an unusually large number of dancers...or maybe Fridays are replacing Wednesdays as the busiest afternoon at 175. Saw Ashley, Delicious, Adora, Corrina, Mia, blonde Bianca, Sarah (ebony) and another Sarah or Sascha(?), two additional blondes (unknown to me) and at least one other ebony lady. Thought I noticed Lana as well, but not entirely sure.

Are there two dancers going by 'Bianca' at the 'Mate? Always thought Bianca was the not-blonde, not-so-tall lady who often wears her hair in a ponytail (but not last Wednesday (12/5) when I saw her in the afternoon). Or was the "tall, blonde" Bianca seen in the evening?

Dropped by the 'Mate Wednesday (12/5) afternoon around 2:15 or so and found quite a quiet atmosphere. A bit surprised as Wednesdays have tended to be the busiest afternoons at this venue. Perhaps I was a bit late for the lunch crowd. Noticed Ashley, CiCi, Delicious, Bianca, and a younger ebony (didn't catch her name) wearing a summery, knee-length dress on the floor - a bit of an unusual look. Ashley was also wearing a dress, not her usual look. Maybe the ladies were finding it chilly in the club. Also notable was a very curvy, busty, inked dark-haired dancer I'm not sure I've noticed at the 'Mate in the past. CR activity seemed a bit slow, but did seem to be picking up by 3:00 with about 4 dancers in the booths simultaneously.

Strongly agree with alpharise's endorsement of castle's post. While I understand, to some degree, the view that searching for excessive mileage in the CR setting may not be a reasonable approach to take, there are excellent experiences to be had in this situation when one is familiar with the dancer in question or, as castle suggests, when an encounter with someone new leads in an agreeable direction. Comparing the SC experience to other avenues is, of course, comparing apples and oranges (similar in some respects but far from identical) and, as noted, there is some validity to the notion that expectations for and/or attempts to secure ultra-high mileage CR sessions indicate that one should be looking elsewhere for the desired outcome. As castle notes, one definite advantage of the SC experience is the ability to avoid the kind of 'fakery' that seems to be so much a part of the discussion in another forum. One is immersed in a 'real-time' situation and then can make a decision to proceed or not, perhaps even having an opportunity to chat beforehand and, if comfortable, discussing what one could expect of the CR session. Suppose there is always the possibilty of a little 'fakery' (of the bait-and-switch' variety) in this scenario, but I've rarely encountered this issue. Others may have had less agreeable experiences with this, but it is unlikely to be in a dancer's long-term advantage to go down this road, at least in my view.

This is an admirable attitude and it's great that there is some "diversity" and, as well, the appreciation of different types of dancers by different patrons in SCs. It just wouldn't do if people were all sitting in the club(s) waiting for a very few dancers (or a single dancer) to become available, so to speak. Having said that, I do find that I'm most likely to notice a certain "type". Not in an overly narrow way, but I tend to find the slightly curvy, leggy (not necessarily tall) and somewhat busty (not necessarily huge) dancers to be immediately and consistently alluring. These "types" can be ebony, Asian or white, blonde or dark-haired, long-hair or short hair etc. but there is just something about a certain look that always seems to stand out in a club, at least to my eyes. Sadly, I'm noticing fewer of this type of dancer in the local SCs in recent months, but it may be that I've not done enough exploring lately. Always interested in recos for dancers that might fit this (admittedly somewhat vague) description.
