If Ashley is your fave, I'd consider you fortunate in the sense that her attendance during the afternoons is really very consistent. I'm not sure I can recall an afternoon trip to the 'Mate when Ashley was not there.

Again stopped by the PM club on a Friday afternoon (2/2). The atmosphere was considerably more subdued than a week ago - not really dead but quite a contrast to last week. Probably 6-8 patrons present at around 2:45. Moderate traffic to the CR during the the time I was present. Ashley, Candy, Mia, Adora, Delicious, Lana, Sarah and possibly Riley(?) were present along with a few others not known to me.

Dropped into the PM about 2:15 or so Friday afternoon (1/26) and found the club to be reasonably busy - certainly a lot more active than my last Tuesday afternoon visit. Ashley, Elena, Delicious and a number of ladies unknown to me (a few I don't think I've ever seen there - transplants from Tease Inc.?) were observed and there seemed to be fairly steady traffic to the CR. I'm pretty sure Sol and Lana were there. Martia too, I think. Didn't notice Adora or Candy. A very striking, curvy, inked ebony dancer was notable, at least to my eye. After many attempts my patience finally was rewarded with a sighting of the lovely Vegas, looking exceptional in a nice bright red one-piece. Always a real pleasure to encounter Vegas at the 'Mate.

About a month since there have been any reports re the scene at the 'Mate. Has anyone here ventured down the Montreal Rd. to 175 recently? Especially interested to know if Adora and/or Vegas have returned from pre-holiday season vacations, but always interested to hear reports about the general situation at the PM.

Think it's understandable that, as outlined in the bit cited by Ftn40 above, there will be times when disrespectful and loutish patrons at an SC who have no intention of visiting the CR will arouse negative attitudes for many dancers. But I'd like to think that clean, respectful (and regular) club visitors will not be thought of too harshly by the ladies. As I've grown older (and uglier), I hope that my attitudes towards dancers I might have once thought shouldn't be dancing have softened as I've realized that there is room for many types and indeed there are many preferences in the SC world.

Agree that this is at best a somewhat one-sided view of things, but it does make one consider the dynamic involved in the SC experience. I've always felt that treating dancers with a generous amount of respect initially and then simply avoiding those who were in any way disrespectful in return is the best approach. Perhaps the transactional aspect of the whole thing renders what dancers "really think" largely irrelevant as long as they are overtly pleasant. I guess I just think that an underlying revulsion or disgust that is simply covered up is going to be difficult to sustain for dancer and client. Of course, dancers will have personal, private opinions regarding the people they encounter in the club but I'd like to think that respectful, clean and reasonable clients would not be brutally "laughed at", but it may be that I am hopelessly naive in this regard. (I've only rarely felt that dancers were having a bit of fun at my expense, but no doubt this sort of thing will occur occasionally.)

From about 2:00ish until roughly 3:30 only Ashley, Mia and Delicious were observed by me. Probably the first time I've been there in the afternoon when Candy did not appear to be present - she seems to be very regular (as is Ashley) on weekday afternoons.

A really, really quiet Tuesday (12/19) afternoon at the PM. From about 2:00 until 3:30 there were only 3 dancers in the club - Ashley, Mia and Delicious. Have rarely seen any local SC this subdued, although Delicious said that Tuesday/Thursday afternoons tend to be the slowest at the 'Mate.

Briefly stopped by the 'Mate on Wednesday (12/13) afternoon and found a typically larger than usual crowd as it was buffet day. Regulars Ashley and Candy were present as ever, as well as Delicious. Thought Lena looked especially good, but didn't get the chance to see her on stage.

Geez, that must've been a real drag. Wonder if she was suggesting it was a 'work visa' issue or some such thing. Apparently she was going to be in Niagara Falls, but maybe that was on the U.S. side. ( Edit: Apparently her 'appearance' the previous night was at the Sundowner, so on the Canadian side - wonder how that went.) Unfortunate development, but I guess some fans might have enjoyed seeing her up close and (not so) personal. http://www.instagram.com/p/BcVkRUZj3...ed=christymack Seems as though the same debacle occurred at the Sundowner in NF - she told audience (after showing up at 1:45) that she was unable to perform so it was probably a visa issue.

In general I've always liked the atmosphere at Barb's and have never heard any dancer complain much about any aspect of the club, with the exception of the CR chairs. Of course others may prefer a larger, noisier environment - having said that I can certainly recall a time when Friday/Saturday nights could be really frantic at Barb's. Some may disagree, but I prefer the smaller, more intimate feeling at Barb's (and the 'Mate). It can be easier to see who is (and isn't) in the club and the layout also provides convenient access to the CR or, for that matter, any part of the club. This is just my view though - I understand that some may like a bigger club with a louder, party-like scene. Additional Comments: You might try asking about this in the longer 'Barb's' thread (if you haven't already). The only Paris that I recall from Barb's was a lovely blonde who I don't think was anything close to 34.

Dropped into Barefax Friday (11/24) afternoon and found the club to be fairly busy. Haven't been to the 'Fax afternoons much at all (can only remember a single Saturday afternoon outing some time ago) so don't have much benchmark for comparison. Was hoping for a Vegas sighting, but no luck on that front. To my mind the ebony ladies were the standouts on this particular occasion, especially Jayda and Trina as well as a busty ebony dancer whose name I did not catch. Trina (if I've identified the correct lady) looked particularly stunning ascending the 'stairway to heaven'. Was just about to depart when the very cute Tasha came down the 'grand staircase' so waited for her stage appearance and what seemed to be a prearranged visit with a patron before tracking her down for a trip upstairs. Tasha is not really my usual 'type', being neither blonde nor especially busty but she strikes me as a very pretty and well-put-together dancer. Sexy and lovely. Also notable was the very pretty blonde Minx as well as another blonde in a beige/gold one-piece outfit - again I did not catch her name. As well noticed a kilt-clad, hirsute 'Zappatista' at a table towards the bar, but did not see him visiting upstairs. Given my line-of-sight seated beside the stairs, this may have been just as well.

At the 'Fax? I guess it's partly my fault that the Vegas discussion has kinda hijacked this 'Playmate?' thread and I'm wondering if it is morphing into discussion of goings-on at the 'Fax. My apologies, but it did concern a dancer associated with both venues. Or is the "Thanksgiving Customer Appreciation thingy" at the 'Mate? I'm assuming it's at the 'Fax.

Have found Vegas to be rather difficult to keep track of, although she has told me in the past that she would sometimes be at the 'Mate early in the week and at Pigale later that same week but this was some time ago. She seemingly has not been at the 'Mate for a while but perhaps she's splitting her attendance between BareFax and the 'Mate. Despite my reservations about the 'grand staircase', 'stairway to heaven' configuration of the 'Fax, maybe I should drop by York St. this week hoping for a Vegas sighting. At the very least I imagine I'll have some chance of encountering a kilt-clad Frank Zappa aficionado.

Interesting, thanks for the info. Wondering if this is the Vegas who has been frequenting the 'Mate in recent months. I'm aware that the Vegas I'm referring to here has danced at the 'Fax in the past (and maybe even at Barb's in the distant past and perhaps sometimes at Pigale). Kilt Boy, do you recall if this Vegas (the one you saw at the 'Fax) was a blonde or partially blonde, fairly heavily inked lady of roughly average height with "bolt-ons" ?

Not sure if pornstar Christy Mack would be considered "high standard" but as I've noted in the 'NuDen' thread, she'll be "appearing" at the club on Sat. Dec. 2nd. A substantial $20/$25 cover. Probably no jello (or midgets) involved though.

"Usually this is with someone else in the industry: dancer, dj, bouncer etc." This is often, but not always, the case. I've occasionally wondered if this occurs because it's just so much easier for everyone involved in the sense that the friends/relatives of both parties are already aware that the individual in each case is "in the industry", at least to some extent.

Thanks for the report Bandit. There is a dancer who goes by Sol - I remember her from years ago at Barb's and I think she's been more recently at Pigale. Not sure if this is the same lady you encountered. One just never knows when Adora or Vegas will be there - it's just so hit-and-miss. They can be absent on (relatively) busy Wednesday or Fridays afternoons and yet be there on a very slow Monday afternoon. This can be somewhat frustrating. It's not that I expect any given dancer to be in a great deal of the time, but it would be nice if one could know when they planned to be. Good to know that Delicious seems to be a bit more consistent.

Well, I guess it will be a "packed house" but who knows? Not really sure how popular she is at this stage. Do wonder if "CR time" will be offered and what the tariff for that experience might be. Have the impression that this kind of thing was more common in the past or in SCs in southern California close to the center of the industry. Know someone who once experienced this with Bree Olson at a club called Seventh Veil in L.A. - was told it didn't end well.
