Are we all referring to the same 'Foxy' here? I seem to recall that there was some confusion on this point in the past, when a dancer at the 'Fax used the name 'Foxy' there, but could not use that name at the 'Mate 'cause it was 'taken'. I seem to recollect that the 'Foxy' at the 'Fax was an ebony lady, while the 'Mate's Foxy was a busty, blonde and then brunette, somewhat older than average dancer and not an ebony lady. At least that's my recollection of the posts in the past when this mix-up arose. I could have remembered it all wrong.

Delicious is a (now) blonde but formerly dark-haired, curvy but not heavyset by any means, slightly older dancer. Last time I saw her at the 'Mate she looked just stunning in a form-fitting one-piece. I believe it's been quite a while since Foxy has been around.

Well Bandit, I think it's really difficult to know when she'll be in. Wish I knew and as well am one who is always interested to hear about Vegas sightings. One point worth mentioning, I think, re Vegas is that it's probably wise to show a fair amount of patience (if you have the time) when looking for her in the club. There will be occasions when she does not appear to be present and then will emerge from outside into the club wearing street clothes in mid-afternoon. In these cases it's not that she's just getting there but more probably is coming back into the club after being "upstairs".

An (almost) entirely reasonable and largely acceptable list of unacceptables. Especially the last one. Geez, how did the acceptability or otherwise of "spitting" even become a consideration in this regard? "Spitting"? Where? Under what conditions? By whom? To what end? As an expression of anger or disgust? Or to smooth matters along, so to speak? I've observed many modes of behaviour in CRs but it's difficult (for me) to imagine how this could transpire.

This strikes me as being the delicate point in discussions of this matter. I believe KB has drawn a meaningful and significant distinction between "preference" and thoroughgoing "prejudice", but the behaviour of one who consistently exercises a certain preference without fail might be deemed by some to be indicative of a prejudicial and thus racist attitude and, of course, in some cases the perception sadly might be correct. It's also worth noting that it's a good thing "we all have our preferences". It just wouldn't do for all of us to be lined up waiting for the same ebony spinner or busty blonde or Asian goddess or..... This reminds me that many years ago I was accused of being a racist in a "dance hall" (Barb's) but in that instance the accusation was levelled not by a friend but by a dancer after I declined her invitations to the CR. Considered complaining to management, but then decided to let it go. Had never happened before and has never been repeated (at Barb's or anywhere else). Additional Comments: After all, variety is, ah, interesting........

I don't like it when there is hardly any applause (or none) as dancers ascend/descend the stage. Not sure you are doing anything wrong. So much of this depends on the overall busyness/atmosphere of the club at any given time. Certainly I sympathize with your sense that the regular daytime girls with established clientele will garner most of the attention. In my experience, consistent stage applause will only occur in a quite busy or packed club when a sort of 'party atmosphere' develops. This rarely occurs in the afternoons.

I always applaud but sometimes I'm the only one (or close to the only one) doing so. Seems like there's more applause when a dancer comes off the stage than when she goes on. Tend to feel like a bit of a dork when I'm the only one applauding and this sort of thing may inhibit others when there is little overall applause. On the other hand I often used to feel like a dork in SCs so I'm used to it. Less so lately.

Reopened as 'The Polar Bare Club'. One of the worst names for a club I can imagine. Right up there with 'O'Ladies', at least as far as local establishments are concerned. Somewhat similar "dilemma" when I was last at the 'Mate. Noticed Vegas in her street clothes (so wasn't sure if I should approach) chatting with another lady at the bar. Relocated to one of the stools along the mural while trying to get her attention. After a while Delicious joined her at the bar for chat and suddenly they were both walking towards me. I began to speak to Vegas and Delicious said "Oh, you wanted to talk to her?" and when I indicated that this was the case, she gave me a quick kiss and left me to speak to Vegas. In this instance, it was Delicious who was "very gracious".

Well bandit, it was some time ago that Vegas told me Mondays/Tuesdays were the best time to see her at the 'Mate and I'm not sure that this still applies. I'm guessing that Wednesdays to Fridays are now a better bet, but when I asked her, she just said that "it varies". The last time I saw her (a Wed.) she said she was going to be in on Thurs. and Fri. as well that week, but I'm not sure she has much of an idea when she'll be in from week to week. That's my impression, anyway.

Well, all weirdness aside, it can be a useful way for a dancer to inform her fans/regulars about her club schedule. I've long wished that more dancers would post their (expected) schedules on a site like this or would "collect" email addresses and then send out emails (or texts if they collect numbers) to a list of interested recipients. It would make dropping into one's fave club(s) a little less hit-or-miss, but then there's nothing wrong with a little anticipatory mystery, I guess. On the other hand, this might cut down on those occasions of major disappointment.

Having made a comment about this, just wanted to note that I did not "report" or initiate any contact with the board moderators about the topic. My post was removed as well, probably because I had quoted the post in question as part of my response. It seems like the author of the post (Kilt Boy) arranged for the removal himself, but I can't be sure. If this was the case, props to KB on the personal integrity front.

Wow, only two dancers in. Don't think I've ever seen so few ladies at 340, even on a Monday afternoon! Perhaps things picked up a tiny bit as the afternoon progressed. I'm told that Barb's was very busy on Saturday night (July 8th) so I'm hoping things are picking up on Queen St. Sounds like Juicy was doing ok, anyway. Always nice to see the curvy blonde beauties doing well.

I've had major and minor crushes on many Barb's servers over the years. Having said that, I would add that I endeavour to be even more respectful of servers than I am of dancers. After all, servers are there to provide libation and not titillation, at least not officially.

I'm told that Jenny was one of three servers (so not "bartending" exactly) on Saturday night (July 8th) at Barb's. I wasn't present, so I guess this falls into the category of "hearsay".

Pretty sure Lana was not there on Wednesday (28th) afternoon, but I believe I did see Ruby - don't know her too well, so I can't be sure but saw a dancer seeming to fit the descriptions of her that I've read in this thread.

Stopped into the 'Mate Wednesday (28th) afternoon. Was the first 'buffet Wednesday' outing for me, but by the time I arrived the food was being cleared and it seemed that the buffet-goers were beginning to depart. Noticed Candy and Ashley (as ever), the ultra-curvy Adora, blonde Brandy looking very cute and the very striking Delicious (blonde now, not as I remember her) looking so lovely in a nice one-piece outfit. Delicious was just stunning onstage today. Vegas was very kind to accommodate me as I'd waited a while for her, and she took to the CR in her street clothes so as not to spend more time changing. Always great to see Vegas at the club. A nice afternoon at the 'Mate with Adora, Delicious, and Vegas in attendance.

My impression is that if you are going to drop in to the 'Mate at noontime or early afternoon, Wednesday will probably be the best bet, at least if you are hoping for the busiest atmosphere with the most dancers compared to other weekdays. Other days can be somewhat subdued down on the Montreal Road. On the other hand, if you are "factoring in" other considerations, it may fill the bill most days. However, I'm not trying to suggest that anyplace is "the best" or, for that matter, the worst - but certainly my view would be that one should have fairly limited expectations re the 'Mate during the afternoon in terms of "amount of girls".

Gee, sounds grim. Barb's used to be fairly busy on many Thursday and Friday afternoons. Difficult to get a sense of any overall trend at 340. Reports seem to swing between quiet and active, although the active times seem more likely to be in the evening. Poor Dennis.
