  1. Really, you have to keep an eye on the ads and recos. There's no other good way to do it. You could also kick off a thread in the relevant forum for the city you're in and ask folks for specific recommendations.
  2. (digression) And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why this broad has a policy of not allowing negative reviews. Far too many of them are... less than legit. OK, end of digression. As you were...
  3. I see no reason why you shouldn't, although obviously it'd be up to whoever you wanted to see. I recall reading at least one account here of one of our lovely ladies seeing another as a client.
  4. http://www.cowboysdiary.info/wordpress/?p=10536
  5. One other thing, further to my near-absolute condemnation of phone use earlier: that was more for short meetings. For longer encounters (overnight, etc) then being completely out of touch with the world for that long may not be a viable option... although hopefully by the time you're doing things like that the client and provider know each other reasonably well and can set expectations appropriately.
  6. It strikes me that it's possible that some people might be trying to be flexible to make things easier. But in that case, it's probably better to say something like, "I can do any time between 6 and 8 for an hour - what's good for you?".
  7. Bear in mind there's a moderation period for new members and while you're in that your posts don't show up until they're approved. You need five posts and to have been a member for a few days to get out of it.
  8. Yes. This. I should perhaps say: I don't mind a quick safety call at the beginning/end of the meeting, but anything else is out. If you *really* have something going on that requires that you be contactable, at least have the courtesy to make sure you client is OK with it and give him the chance to cancel if he's not.
  9. Bullshit. Sorry to be blunt, but that's the only way to describe this. It's especially ironic that you accuse others of having little or no knowledge of history. Off the top of my head, without actually bothering to look anything up, here's a few people and organisations that you seem to have little or no knowledge about. There's the IRA, ETA, 17N, and the Red Army Faction. There's FARC and Sendero Luminoso. There's Aum Shinriko, the LTTE (who invented suicide-bombing; did you know that?) and Babbar Khalsa. There's the ANC and Nelson Mandela (yep, they were considered terrorists in the past). And in the US we've had Timothy McVeigh, Ted Kaczynski, and pretty much every lunatic who's perpetrated a mass-shooting who you'd undoubtedly call a terrorist if they happened to be called Mohammed. That's just a very quick list, without research, and cherry-picking an example or two from each corner of the globe. I'm sure it could be greatly expanded with a little effort if anyone can be bothered, but I think it serves to prove the point that there have been and remain a great many terrorists who aren't Muslim.
  10. On servicing: bear in mind that warranties on cars may be dependent on getting them dealer-serviced at the specified intervals, which means you pay too much and do so more often than necessary. You may or may not consider this worthwhile to keep the warranty valid. On finance: last car I bought, I asked whether they'd work with me on the price if I paid outright rather than taking the financing. They wouldn't. I think the reason for this was that in my case the cost of the 0% finance was borne by the manufacturer rather than the dealer, and so it made no difference to the dealer's profit margins whether I took it or not. But this obviously won't always be the case. YMMV, as they say :)
  11. Here's a couple of threads about it http://www.lyla.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=213015 http://www.lyla.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=211753
  12. One small point that seems to have become lost in the fear over the last few days: the people who pulled that shit in Paris on Friday are the same people that the Syrian refugees are trying to get away from.
  13. Drop Mod a PM and tell him about it. He doesn't run all possible OS and browser combinations, so things like this can slip through.
  14. Emily J isn't all that far away.
  15. And also a Victoria forum... https://www.lyla.com/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=110
  16. Members who are still in moderation can't start new reco threads. I think you have to have been here 10 days and made 5 posts before you're out of moderation...
  17. Well, you won't get what you'd get from an escort. Otherwise they'd just be escorts :) If you see someone advertizing massage here, you can expect to leave happy, but don't expect more than hands to be involved. There is some variation on the extent to which you might be able to return the favour.
  18. There's a private section on the site for independent providers; things like that are probably best discussed there. https://www.lyla.com/vbulletin/faq.php?faq=vb_faq#faq_sponlyarea
  19. I'd be more inclined to say that racism is inextricable from criminalization. Given the enormous power that exists for LE to decide which laws to enforce and on whom to enforce them, I'd have thought that legalization would help. Given how much this one's being talked about and how excited a lot of people seem to be about it, I suspect it'll be quite hard to walk back from. But, yeah, it's far from a done deal. So should we ban everything else that people enjoy that can't be proven beneficial? Alcohol? Tobacco? Pop? Cookies? Weed is far less harmful than quite a few things that are widespread and widely accepted, and I see no harm with allowing people to have some vices. I consider "Because I like to" to be a perfectly valid reason. I'm not convinced by the merits of criminalizing pleasure. Driving high already happens. Yes, potency has gone up... but if it's legalized, then that'll make it much easier to know how strong the stuff you're smoking is because it can be printed on the packaging, much like the alcohol content of the beer you may be drinking at this moment. And that means that we can make informed decisions rather than just relying on guesswork. As an aside - this is one of the big reasons I prefer legalization to decriminalization on this one. And yes, people will still make bad choices and do stupid things. And innocent people will get injured and die. But as I said, that already happens.
  20. Anything that involves a redirect seems to drop you back to http - I've mentioned it to Mod in the past. I've also noticed that opening a link in a new tab sometimes gives you http, even though the link itself is https, but I have no idea what triggers it.
  21. More convenient: use an URL-shortener. http://bit.ly/1Wp3AOH
  22. Or is the request is for something like a "like" button on pics? That's not something that exists today, AFAIK...
  23. Ah, yes. The good old "lying by telling the truth" trick. So they make a fake booking, and... yes, that's a meeting, and it was prearranged! They just neglect to mention that they were utterly deceitful about the purpose of it...
  24. Legalize, and tax. I'd be quite happy to see a revenue stream for the government from weed, and that could then be used to reduce taxes elsewhere, or provide more services. Remember also to account for the time and money that would be saved on law enforcement, prosecutions and imprisonment (far less than in some other countries, but still, not negligible). Legalization will also allow businesses to grow and thrive, and the end of prohibition will mean the profit margins will become unacceptably low for the criminal elements, so they'll move onto something else. We'd certainly end up with a lot of low-quality stuff grown with a lot of chemicals... but I'm sure we'd also get smaller growers selling a high-quality product, and enthusiastic amateurs growing their own. It'll end up like food and booze and other consumables; there'll be something to suit all budgets and tastes.
  25. +1 on Kathryn. You might also want to have a look at the ads to see if any travelling ladies are visiting while you're here - there's a good chance that they'll be at a downtown hotel too, which will probably be fairly close to you.
