  1. Congrats Emma, its posters like you who make CERB what it is - well done!
  2. A significant win would be shared equally with the giver. My conscience would both me otherwise.
  3. Feeling the after glow of a really good day, the stars all aligned; family is doing great, good work stuff, the Patriots won, extended family out west is doing well, great meal, good health and so much more - time to buy a lottery ticket!!!
  4. Thanks all, You collectively made my day!!!! I love this community!!
  5. Patriots won today but the best bame of the year so far was the overtime game between Seattle and Denver won by Seattle.
  6. Just saw the newly released "The Drop" yesterday and really enjoyed it.
  7. This is one of the funniest call center stories I've ever heard of. Its a bit dated but still good. http://www.waynesthisandthat.com/response.htm
  8. Just posting my 500th post here on CERB - don't mind me, I'm a little slow, it only took me 3.5 years...........
  9. Just finished the book "Gone Girl" by Gillian Flynn (#1 New York Times Bestseller), WOW, what a book. Can't wait to see the movie coming out next month
  10. Trying to come up with something unique, relevant, sage, humorous and inspired for my very-soon-to-be 500th post here on CERB. So far nothing. Oh well. I'll probably settle for the latest knock knock joke at this rate.
  11. My then 5 year old daughter would complain about ghosts stealing her halloween candy, that was why the bag seemed to empty so quickly - ergo they must exist.............
  12. I'm somewhat surprised so far with 2/3 of the respondents to date being in the 50 - 60 range (incl MG). I'm late fifties, so late in fact I turn into the next decade in 10 months. Can't wait to see the final tally, hope we get huge participation!
  13. This is a great reminder type thread. I haven't reviewed it in quite a while. Two comments that I didn't see covered one minor and one not-so minor. An SP's in call location might be clean as a whistle with fresh linen but please don't forget about washing the bedspread or throw used to cover the bed. I visited one great SP here in Halifax with an ultra clean apartment and the bedspread had BO on it. I mentioned it to the SP prior to the next visit and she was very appreciative. On a minor note, according to my dentist and more importantly his hygenist, don't forget to scrape or brush all over your tongue when brushing. That can significantly lessen the extent of bad breath.
  14. Given that I don't really pay a lot of attention to lyrics (sad i know) I'm kind of partial to instrumentals - especially makling love in front of a roaring fire place.
  15. Fruit flies, ear whigs & maggots!! As much as I love recycling bins and the principle behind it.
  16. I was watching a sports documentary the other day and it mentioned a quote by Brucee Lee on the importance of practice, he said "I fear the opponent who practicesd one kick 10,000 times more than one who knows 10,000 kicks".
  17. Voice of experience here, when prepping for a date, never try to shave your nether world after a couple of glasses of vino. Its not pretty....
  18. Going to show my ignorance here but have never been with a partner using female condoms - don't know but suspect I'm not alone in this ignorance.
  19. My first choice is always my upscale hotel room where security is a given and I know the linen is fresh. Second choice would be incall is a secure upscale apartment / condo complex, again clean linen is improtant to me.
  20. As a single guy now, I don't have as much at risk as some might. However, a new SP relationship for me would take a bit of time, some to and fro just to get a sense of the person. I trust my instincts, they have been finely honed over the years. Long story short, no problem in providing enough info for an SP to gleam the same sense of comfort about me, (but I draw the line at sending dick pics as I'm hung like a stud budgy lol).
  21. I find that in general, todays interpersonal writing is "instant gratification" oriented. Text, emails, auto correcting, "why phone when you can text" all contribute to a general sense of malaise for many. Personally, I enjoy reading a lady ad who is being classy, creative and consistent in her messaging and I will always respond in kind. I was fortunate to have spent a wonderful couple of hours with Gabriella a couple of years ago in Halifax. She is in person exactly as she portrays herself here - a class act. In business venacular it is know as being consistent with your "brand" which is in turn defined as the idea created in the buyers' mind about the product or service offered. In business "Branding" is critical for long term success. I'm sure some guys just want to get laid as was pointed out a few posts ago. I'm looking for a more complete experience, one that involves both the body, mind and spirit. Musings from an older guy.
  22. KFC, once every other year and it causes me so much guilt
  23. Grower here What are friends for? a supposed one said to me the other day that I must be suffering from dickie do disease. I fell for it and said "What". He said "that happens when your tummy sticks out farther than your dickie do". Back to the gym time ........
