  1. I argue this portion found in the link above: "Taking down Backpage and obtaining a criminal conviction for the company and its CEO represents a significant victory in the fight against human trafficking in Texas and around the world," Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton ® said in a statement. I fail to see this as a victory. Similar to how laws only pushed the industry underground, making it more dangerous for both sides of the industry, so to does the removal of Backpage. Canadian LE have long been saying that Backpage made it simpler to keep tabs on the industry, ie human trafficking and those underage. IMO, the removal of Backpage will only drive said issues more underground, making it more difficult to keep taps on. Besides the issues we had with Backpage, this is the true loss of Backpage being removed. A few days ago there was a press conference at the White House of lady who was once trafficked thanking the US Government for removing Backpage. Indeed, her story is sad. IMO, what I find more sad is trafficking now being driven further underground and how worse it will become for those who will be trafficked in the future, underage or not. Only decriminalizing the industry will lessen human trafficking and those underage.
  2. Are you choosing with your heart or with your wallet? ;)
  3. Almost the same: Pens over Flyers Bruins over Leafs Predators over Avs Jets over Wild Caps over Columbus Lightning over Devils (Lightning are too strong for Devils IMO) My upset: Kings over Golden Knights (Time for GK's fairytale season to end but what a year) Sharks vs. Ducks is a toss up. I'll go Ducks over Sharks.
  4. Some of my faith in humanity has been restored today. The GoFundMe page set up for families of the 10 boys and 5 others who died in the crash in Saskatchewan last week had a goal of $10 000. Today it topped 6 million. Funds are being sent from all over the globe. R.I.P.
  5. I'm glad we're on the same page. I wasn't here pre-C-36 but I wish I would have as I'm sure it must have been great. TBH, I feel Lyla is still a great place with the best community and threads that touch on so many topics. I'm not asking for much. All I would like to see loosened up on is members helping each other out. I thought this was one reason why this site was created, let alone how we as people should be in this world...help each other out. A little over a year ago when I first joined I felt I could share and I like to help. I respected what was permitted and when gentlemen members would post threads seeking info about a Provider who had no info here I would simply post, "Send me a PM." I didn't mind. Other Gents would then post, "Send me one as well. I'm also interested." I didn't mind that either. Later, weeks or a couple months would go by and another member would be interested in info so I would receive a PM about it. Great! I'll help a brother out, NP. I started thinking about why I should have to send and deal with this in PMs so on such threads I started posting links to where they could find info, others would be able to find it as well and I wouldn't be PMed...everyone would be happy. I was in the wrong, this isn't permitted. Last month on a thread where a fellow member was looking for info about a Provider I posted, "She has a review...somewhere. I can't post what is said." The next day when I attempted to log in I couldn't. I received my second infraction for this and a seven day ban. Now I'm not debating my being banned. I did something that is not permitted BUT I didn't post a link to anywhere, specifically mention another site nor did I say anything negative. Now I find myself no longer wanting to help fellow members, I can't risk another infraction or I risk permanent ban so I won't be helping out in this any longer and for that I apologize. I like this site too much to risk being banned. Cheers,
  6. I'm aware she didn't mention 'censorship', I did. She did mention how she would like to see Lyla grow, that men and women are being banned and losing the safety of the community (I'm aware this is from what is currently permitted and that every individual is responsible for their actions), that it would be refreshing to see more activity here, how 70% of her business came from here but now it's 1% and that she would like Lyla to not just be a discussion forum. For all of this I, personally, attribute the largest part to the current 'censorship'. You can choose a better word if you'd like. I clearly stated, "...not insinuating 'open the floodgates' nor permitting anything and everything," but "maybe, just maybe, loosening up a little." so there is no need, "to wade through a mile of shit to admire a rose", as you so put it. Similar to I cannot speak for everyone, you doubt more information would change any decision of yours but perhaps it would change other's. Perhaps it would help with all things Lady Sophia mentioned. A well informed decision is only attainable with the most amount of information available, not based on what is permitted. I agree, there is a difference between a bad experience and a disappointing one and there are many factors to consider. Yes, disappointing and bad reviews can potentially hurt a provider's income, but on the flip side it doesn't mean that every punter will enjoy their time with every Provider with a Recommendation.
  7. Censorship?!? Now I'm not insinuating 'open the floodgates' nor permitting anything and everything including letting everyone become members but maybe, just maybe, loosening up a little. Also, not permitting harsh or classless reviews but allowing members to openly share some information about the good, the not so good and even some ugly. Yes PMs can help with some of this, those receiving them, but information is key. Every member should have the right to make a well informed decision.
  8. When 50 dollars of gas would be enough for a month, not a week.
  9. With all due respect, please don't presume anything about me in order to attempt to gain the upper hand. I'm not the type that looks for deals or ever attempts to negotiate on rates. Does the topic of stolen pics touch a nerve? Yes, ads that use stolen pics touches a nerve with me. I consider it false advertising. I understand she is an acquaintance of yours and you are defending/standing up for her. This is very admirable of you, a sign of someone who cares and makes you a good friend to have. In the future, please refrain from personal attacks/slander type statements. You should be above/better than this. Cheers,
  10. Pics from a smartphone are free and produce fairly high quality pictures, enough for someone who doesn't charge high rates or doesn't want to cover the cost of a photo shoot. At least the pics would be hers, that's what really matters! I know SPs who do this and it's not too difficult to remove tattoos and not show your face. Just my 2 cents.
  11. Lyla has its perks, like a great community and a more balanced input from both sides of the industry, but due to recommendations only and positive only comments it is not a true reflection of the industry as a whole. IMO, members should publicly be made aware of sub par experiences since experiences in the industry are not all rosie, positive and perfect. So in some aspects Lyla is only a fraction of the truth.
  12. IMO, contributing to stolen pics is contributing to stolen pics. Full stop.
  13. In the Body Rub section of BP look for those who advertise offering both Massage and FS.
  14. Post away NJ. You're doing a great job. Thanks for all your efforts!
  15. With two pics showing her phone number like that I would have to say those are her real pics.
  16. Amber, Wishing you a Happy Birthday. Hope you have a great day!
  17. Happy Birthday Cato. Have an amazing day!
  18. MSOG since I next to never book for a hh. Prefer doing it indoors or outdoors during the summer months?
  19. Hands down, a Caribbean sandy beach. I prefer to discover as much as I possibly can about places I visit, not find out more about a ship. When do you prefer to travel; early, mid or near the end of the winter season?
  20. I prefer red wine. Movie: A good thriller or a good drama?
  21. A Happy Birthday to you toine. Hope this is a great weekend for you!
  22. Skiing: Downhill. The older we get downhill skiing is the only thing gravity is good for. Pleasing or being pleased...
