Halifax Getting Slow For Business ??

Recommended Posts

Guest

I'm not too sure if its just me or if anyone else has noticed that our lovely hobbiests keep disappearing :/

I must say, I've never saw it this slow. I still have my regular clients, & I am never one to complain & dont want this to be taken as a complaint.

Im just curious if there is a reasoning behind the disappearance of our lovely men or maybe if it is simply because the rise in number of SP's in this area.

Anyway, to all the lovely hobbiests ; you are missed ;) & hope to see you soon :) :)

I wonder if it is simply due to the weather? There is/was a thread on this subject from a few years back and it seems to me the common reason given was weather. I have been told by ladies I have met that summer can get a little slow due family commitments, etc. of your clients.

Just my thoughts and attempted recollection of previous ideas/theories.

Vacations, most likely. There might be more visiting/touring ladies around at the moment saturating the market. What kind of a time period are you comparing this moment to as slower?

I think vacations probably have a lot to do with this. The whole city is slow right now unless you're a tourist. On the bright side the morning traffic is awesome.

Maybe also a few more ladies on their summer break from school trying to put in more hours as SP's.

Its the same thing every year. Slow now until after school starts and then ladies fasten your seat belts!

Yeah I've noticed that. I guess I meant to say, there is tons of people who call and inquire & some of those who book , but then are never to be heard from again. This could simply be clients from other sites , not CERB alone , but I've noticed its been happening more lately since the summer has began.

I suppose I'd rather it be too sloow than overly busy !

- Vacations with family.

- $$ spent on said vacations.

- More SP's so more disbursement among more ladies.

- Rates are not as low as some cities such as Montreal,Toronto, etc. so many visitors hobby at home rather than when traveling on vacation.

- Other outdoor related distractions.

On the other hand I've done more hobbying in the past ten days than in the past year and a half !! (All out of town) so who am I to say LOL !!

London, Ontario seems to be getting more visiting SP's this summer than in previous years so it may be slow in other places too and maybe there's a belief that business is good here.

Or....maybe they've all got "perfectly placed pink nipples" like you Destiny and we are just suckers for those ;)

Well, you do say "melt in your mouth" and there's only one way to find out if it's true :-)

I think other posters have hit the nail on the head. In my case, visitors and vacations have used up too much of both my time and available funds, which has impacted my hobbying.

It does go both ways too - I thought I had an encounter lined up for this morning, but never heard back from the lady with the location. So here I am with cash in my pocket, all cranked up and nowhere to go!

I guess I should have called Destiny!

I have to agree with all the reasons put forth. I also firmly believe its a sign of our economic times as well and the fact we seem to have more SP's joining Cerb which unfortunately spreads the wealth around. Good thing is if you are honest and truly can enjoy what you do and you give that full attention to your date you'll def keep your fair share of "hobbiests". Also on a more touchy note I feel rates are increasing at a faster pace than what we are earning. I'm not trying to sound cheap as any SP needs and can charge what they feel they are worth and I totally respect that but in doing so may leave perspective clients out of their price range. As someone said we are not Toronto or Montreal , our economic climate is a little different here.

In saying that Cerb continues to yield the best that HFX has to offer and having the ladies from abroad that tour here we are quite lucky to have what we have. :)-

Halifax and other cities in the maritimes have no problem supporting the high end price tag, if they did the ladies that tour here would not come or continue to return.

That being said there is something for everyone....

I totally agree with Emily. To some price means nothing at all. The majority of guests I entertain do not care if my donation is $100 or $1000, in fact that is usually one of the last questions I am asked just so the right amount is on hand. I say this very respectfully as a matter of point.

First as to the ladies' donation. If there is a lady you want to meet or see again, you will do whatever is required to see her. Just recently, and I'm a gentleman who sees ladies once a month, I decided not to have an encounter in June, and set aside June's budget plus July's budget to have an extra special extended encounter with a great lady in July. For some of us gentlemen we plan ahead just for those special encounters

As to the slow times, here is a thread about slow times in this business

It may help

Boomer is right about the Economic times things are much tighter then most people realize, wages have not kept up with costs of most retail products, as well credit has tighten up, and the whole world is heading for a much harder and difficult decade then many people are aware of, I hope everyone has a great day , xoxoxo'sssssssss

You can't expect prices to be the same as in Toronto and Montreal because the volume of SP's in big Cities dictate keeping the prices lower in order to stay competitive. For every 1 quality SP Halifax has, there are 10 in the big cities.

There would be, for every 1 person in Halifax there are 10 people in the GTA.

We all easily forget how good things are when the economy is strong, there's money to play with and less availability of SP's because they have other jobs. When the economy is weak more women might try escorting. I agree with the comment above, there is a rocky road ahead, but I'll always find the money to play with PPPN's :-)

Why not? Isn't the price (PST aside) for a BMW the same in Halifax as in Toronto? The ladies are very aware of the market they operate in as well as the clientle they choose to deal with. They don't charge rates that can't be supported.

....and as Emily said there is something for everyone.

Not sure about the BMW but.....If you work for a large company and move from Halifax to Toronto most companies adjust your salary accordingly.

It does not cost the same to live in Charlottetown, PEI ad it does in Toronto, Ontario.

Actually no it isn't, when you take into account freight, PDI (Pre Delivery Inspection), environmental charges, MVI and other factors there can be a noticeable difference.
