30 pointsGreetings fellow CERBians. I speak to you today, not as your president (we don't have one), not as the most popular member (that ship has sailed)... just as a guy who cares about this place. We have found ourselves over the past few days witnessing our own version of 9/11. We have endured and are enduring a crisis of the value of membership, the value of participation and the value of being who we are. Let's not quibble over the purpose of this site. It is an Escort Recommendation Board. That's what the big banner in the top left corner says. We all joined for one of two reasons. Either we are a consumer and as such wish to interact with providers, read recommendations and then book appointments with said provider(s) OR we are providers and as such wish to interact with our clients, provide consumer information about availability, prices and services, and ultimately book appointments to provide services to the consumer. Bare bones, that's what this site is all about. We have become a community as a result of the tireless efforts of the many. That community is in jeopardy as a result of the capricious efforts of the few. This is NOT an us against them, penis vs vagina, male vs female community. Some have tried to turn it into that. None of us should be using this community to exert POWER. It is not about politics, it is not about any kind of "ism." This community is at its absolute BEST when we treat each other as equals and enjoy playful banter without being stigmatized. I suggest that we have two camps that wish to fight a small battle regardless of the innocent casualties incurred. While I see the merits in both arguments, THIS IS NOT A BATTLEGROUND NOR IS IT A PLACE TO FORWARD YOUR OWN POLITICAL AGENDA. I still have hope that we can return to what we once were, that we can again become a lively community where no one will fear causing offence to others. My CERB will always be a welcoming place where people can have naughty fun; it is my hope that yours can and will be as well. OD 10/9/11 @1:34 pm

11 pointsEnough already...no more speculations, or arguing ..this has been beat to death..people are going to do,say what they want anyway...so enough. Enough damage has been done. So let's all move on to brighter and better things.
-
5 pointsThis is probably, the most bothersome thread that I have ever seen on CERB, since I have been on this site. Talk about a warm welcoming for a new member. NOT ! I feel for you Emily for having to see the dark side of CERB. I am appalled that you were removed from the poll. Obviously, you have made an positive impact on quite a number of CERB members and thus is the reason that you were doing so well in the poll. I agree that the poll should be terminated at this time and rescheduled for another time.
-
4 points*cracks knuckles* *looks around awkwardly realizing its a phone and I only need my thumbs* I deliberated about commenting on this thread, and the nomination one. Here we go. First off Erotic Emily I'm so sorry this whole train wreck happened around you, CERB should always be a positive experience and this board has treated you poorly. Secondly, to all the women who spoke their minds about what is right and what is wrong good job. I have spent a lot of bored time reading old posts on CERB. People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, maybe people should look at the thread for I think it was the first SP awards. Gentlemen made the same arguments towards SP's not deserving to be on the list as women did this time . Why is it fair when the guys say it and not the women? I'm not calling anyone out I'm honestly just kind of heartbroken, confused and concerned as to where CERB is going lately. Erotic Emily is not the only person who feels scared, unwelcome or unwilling to post on CERB anymore though. Read through this and you see a few valued, intelligent women I look up to saying they Don't want to post anymore. I understand that the internet shouldn't be "serious" business but I am a prostitute. I came to CERB to advertise, I have stayed for the family that doesn't judge, isn't petty and is Equal. Just about every poll has had some sort of issue, the way this one has drug on is why there is such a huge out cry and feelings of hurt all around SP's and hobbyists alike. I am not trying to ruffle feathers or call people out at all, I just have a voice and I want to be heard and I deserve to be heard as does every member on this board. *hugs all around* Posted via Mobile Device

4 pointsFYI, its really not a big deal who "wins." Is it? I can't imagine anyone being upset over this "friendly" little members choice poll.
-
4 pointsWell, whether people like it or not, I am going to give my opinion. Not all will agree with me, but they can give me as many negative rep points as they want, because it doesn't matter. I have had plenty of those before, I am not one to say things to please people, I will give my view. If the members want to vote a certain way, that is up to them and everyone and I mean everyone that feels that the voting and nominations should not have been the way that they like them regardless of why, are being very selfish in their views. Trying to hide behind whether the spirit of the rules were being followed, or the letter of the rules....give me a break. I can't even remember who I voted for now, and could care less. There is no way the results now can be viewed a legimate and whoever ends up winning it should come with an asterik beside the name. No disrespect to anyone, particular the leading candidates, but the recommendation to shut down the whole poll, was the right one and should have been done. A decision to remove Emily, for whatever reason at this point in time, looks worse than shutting down the whole poll. I am sorry, but I find in general many of the comments by many of the members to come across as pure jealousy and they just make themselves look spietful. This has been a fiasco of major proportions and I just sit here and shake my head. On to the next poll, this one is a mess. It was suppose to be fun....ya right.

3 pointsThe cerb community has been expanding lately with lots of hot new members, from the Maritimes, Ottawa, Toronto, and the West, and I'm pleased to extend a warm welcome to you all. I'm sure you'll help to keep this a lively and interesting site. We look forward to your input, and your positive energy. Please don't hesitate to contact me or other members if we can be of any help in getting oriented here. We want this to be a friendly and welcoming community, so, welcome!!!!

3 pointsOk enough is enough. It's time for some tough love. A person whose opinion I highly respect whom I won't mention recently referred to this whole sad excuse for a poll to me as being like "the popularity contest in high school"....and they were absolutely right. It's just as pointless...just as trivial. It means absolutely nothing. Does anyone remember who their class president was in high school? I sure as hell don't. And "high school" is very apt term to describle the maturity shown by many in this thread. I mean getting all pissy because someone new got more votes than you? Really? And all this over what exactly? People (both new and longtime members) are seriously considering not posting anymore over this? Are you fuckin' kidding me? Its. A. BANNER! That's all it is. There's no cash reward on the line. There's no new car. There's no all expenses paid trip to friggin disney world (Even though Disney World sucks IMO. Universal Studios ftw!! :p). There's not even free movie passes for crissakes. It's a cutesy little pic under your name.....woop d freakin do. And pardon the expression but this is why everone's gotten their panties in a bunch? Over a little banner thingamajig under your name? Is a little banner thingy really going to improve the quality of your life or anything? I know I can't be the only one who finds this more than a little ridiculous? We're grown ups people...I'm sorry if my mostly uncensored opinion offends anyone but enough is enough. You all need to take a step back and just chiil out. MOD please do away with this poll and any future ones of this nature before they do anymore damage. When people get removed from the poll because other people don't like that she is there....well its at that point that this whole thing becomes a farce. I mean it didn't mean all that much to begin with but now it means less than nothing. As it's been shown here there's simply just too much room for catiness/jealousy in these kind of things. I understand wanting to recognize those who go above and beyond to add and contribute regularly to the board. I really do. Which is why I reiterate my previous suggestion to base the "awards" on rep points instead of polls. People can't argue with rep points. They can't turn around and say someone doesn't deserve their rep points. Well...they could...but they'd look pretty stupid doing so. If some people are really that desperate to be recognized than this just seems like much more drama-free way of going about it. Posted via Mobile Device Additional Comments: God I can't believe I wrote all that on my blackberry. Christ my fingers are sore now!.....I should have just gotten out of bed.....but I love my bed! hahaha! Posted via Mobile Device

3 pointsAnytime you put your photograph online you should expect it will be out there for everyone and for all time. Yes it would be great if we could control our online content no matter what industry we are in but it's naive to think that we can. If you are not comfortable with having your image (or part of it) out there then do not put it up, the fact of the matter is anything that I can get on my screen I can save to my computer, sometimes it just takes a little more work than others. As for watermarking your images, there are pros and cons to it and it really doesn't protect your image though it can decrease the incidence of having the image used by someone else within the industry. If someone is determined they can remove the watermark, they can crop, airbrush, etc. it. With the idea of privacy if you watermark them with your working name/site you lose the ability to deny it's you should someone else have the photos, basically you will become searchable to someone that may not have known what to search. When you leave this industry you will not be able to remove all trace of your having worked, some review boards are very helpful and will delete your account and references to you but there are many boards that will not. Figure out what you are most concerned about, whether its your exit strategy or your current brand and watermark if one is more important to you than the other.

3 pointsI want to express my admiration for the incredibly classy and respectful way Emily has conducted herself through this whole distasteful episode. I feel that she deserves commendation for her restraint and maturity. She certainly has mine.
-
3 pointsVery sad indeed! But Emily, don't despair.....we all had the great opportunity to have insight into your charming nature and your beautiful mind! Next time around I think we will remember this, and how well you carried yourself throughout all of this drama. Cheer's love sister!!
-
2 pointsMaybe expectations are too high. As I write this there are 993 current active users online described as 451 members, 387 guests and 155 spiders (whatever that is) and I'm not sure if "hidden" surfers are included within these numbers. I guess the point is, who makes up this community that we speak of ? I'm guessing that there are about 30-40 members maybe more and maybe less who participate publically and regularly in shout or respond to or start threads. Not many when you look at the numbers, probably less than 10% of registered members and 5% or less of active users and one could argue and since Saturday afternoons aren't cerb peak times, the 10% and 5% is might in fact be generous. Anytime you get a small number of people interacting daily or many times daily there's bound to be "dishes flying in the kitchen" once in awhile. I don't sweat it, maybe it's a signal of evolution or renewal which isn't a bad thing. The vast majority obviously use cerb for differing purposes that are not public like pm's to contact providers or previously for profile visits. Maybe Cerb is what it is.....and isn't what it isn't. Peace MG

2 pointsI am not sure I understand the correlation between serving in a plastic cup and binge drinking, could you clarify? I agree that binge drinking is a problem and that University culture among the students tends to encourage it but if they are drinking (legally) then it's also the students responsibility to manage their drinking and related actions. Yes a bar should stop excessive serving of alcohol but if that student goes home to drink who else is to be responsible for that other than the student? There are already laws in place to keep children from drinking but I believe adults need to take responsibility for their own actions.
-
2 pointsas one of my friend said yesterday when we were talking...why do we give that much important on that? It's a little banner of 1 inch wide with a little trophee for the SP or a checked little box saying Valued Cerb Member. On a screen. online. Not in real life. I understand if we were to win a prize, money, a trip of free boobies for life. But come on it's a little digital banner
-
2 pointsSo i started chatting online with Emily last week and immediately understood why everyone had such great things to say about her. We finally met and it was one of the best experiences I have ever had. She is a beautiful person inside and out with an absolutely amazing personality. A perfect 10 all around... looking forward to seeing you again. Hope you have a sexy weekend Emily... ;)
-
2 pointsI dislike clothing requests and don't entertain them at all. I have always felt that a date should have a genuine feel and in order for it too we both need to be ourselves. If anyone approached me for a first date (personal) telling me what to wear they'd be shown the door and I don't approach this industry with anything different in mind. I'm not at all surprised when a number of men complain that a lady was 'mechanical' when they have a list of clothing and acts they want to live out in the course of an hour or two, the lady is likely trying hard to relax with someone she has never met in an outfit she has never worn while still trying to remember the 'menu' that was requested. Personally I think both parties have a better time when you allow her to relax and actually enjoy your company, sex is always better when two people (at least) are enjoying it.
-
2 pointsI'm so confused.....I just came here for girls, how did I end up reading all this?
-
2 pointsMalika, thank you for all the contributions you have made to the CERB community! A little something for you:
-
2 pointsI'm going to call it like it is here because I'm tired of pussyfooting around on this issue. I will say it diplomatically because I don't wish to start a war here so I will tread lightly. Emily is just a puppet in all of this and she has been nominated not because she is a valued member ( she is new here so let's be honest) but for other reasons that people want to use to their advantage. Someone else is pulling the strings. She has been put in the middle of something that now has her afraid to post. I'm sure she is a good MA and knows how to handle her business. The fact of the matter is she does not have many posts and has not contributed the way other ladies have. And let's not argue about PMs or advertising being considered a contribution. It's not! It is about taking time from your own schedule to post your own feelings and opinions that are publically posted that makes the board what it is. If she sticks around, I'm sure in time she will be considered a true contributing member. I have nothing against her and again, this isn't about her. This is about a shift in the board and I truly believe this poll has been purposely thrown to screw up poll results. Why? This is all about egos and it has become a male v.s. female dynamic here. I feel many want us to be seen but not heard. I have seen it happen on other boards as well. It's all become about screwing up a good thing.. Cerb was not like this a year ago. Many people don't want to see Cerb succeed due to their egos and their need to want to control everything. This isn't a man's world anymore and the ladies are here to stay. There you go.... finally someone said it!
-
2 pointsWell going by the rules I would suggest that there is room for interpretation. Especially when you pay close attention to the following, specifically the bold portions. The SP-AWARD (Pink One) is for the ladies who are part of our community here on cerb. A recognition award for the ladies who take time to participate and contribute in the forums and chat areas. This is not an award for best service (that is what the recommendations sections are for) this is a award to recognize the service providers who join in the conversations, help answer some questions and give you a little view into the other side of the business! After reviewing Erotic Emilys posts, etc. I see that she has replied to threads, joined in conversation as well as posted her advertisements. I do not see that a member must have a certain amount of posts in order to qualify. So, in a way this is an interpretation whether we like the interpretation or not.
-
1 pointI wanted to post this sometime ago, but was otherwise occupied. I live in a university town, binge drinking is nothing new around here. But I would like to see the city step up to the plate and force our bar's and bar tender's to be more responsable in there business. A few places even serve the beer on student night's in a plastic cup!! Cheep cheep beer and shots! For God's sake if you need to drink your beer from a sippy cup, it is time to go home! And shame on the bar's to allow this type of behavior!! Bar's need to be accountable for for these young people who have nearly no experience in drinking and out from the nest for the first time. And that's my rant.....lol.
-
1 pointThank you OLD DOG for starting this thread. Cerb is a fun place to work and play! Now let's cum together and make peace and forgive those who may have hurt us in the past couple of weeks! Let's work hard and play hard :) Angie ox
-
1 pointwow this is a hot thread. Well i have a few lol - teasing - knowing i am turning the other person on and they want me so bad - 3somes - mirrors and sex or videotaping - passionate rough grabbing, bitting animal like sex - doing it in a public place or being watched - masterbating while the person watching me is playing with themselves - hair pulled from behind - morning sex - tattoos - having my back kissed licked and nibbled. mmmmmm writing this list lol Posted via Mobile Device

1 pointI did not see her this time because she sent a PM to me that she was unable to get a hotel ?!?.....

1 pointI would call my son, apologize for not being there for him and let him know he was all I ever thought about when I was away for too many wars.

1 pointThe young crowd today apparently enjoy mixing a strong energy drink with hard liquor. Energy drinks and a strong liquor can be dangerous. It is mixing an upper with a downer and sometimes the young body and heart can't handle the combo. Sad news about the 19 year old, first year of University and did not even attend a class, RIP and I feel for his parents too.
-
1 pointWell she was allowed in because she was NOMINATED by not one but two members. One valued member (Cato) and one long time member (myself) and likely not by more because it was indicated that we should not nominate someone who has been nominated already. There is NO RULE as how long a member should be a member before she is nominated. On the second part of your paragraph as why she was removed (and she was removed as soon as she was placed in the lead by cerb voters), well, I haven't got the faintest idea and am very eager to learn of the reason too, if there is any, and yes a big AGREE.... yes any result is now invalid and yes it is an issue of fairness. Whatsup said it best lol. It is not about cash or free trip but the valued member banner is a token of appreciation by cerbites to the legitimately elected service provider or member.

1 pointSee you later. I always try to say that as opposed to good-bye. When my mom passed away, my last words to her before she took her last breath was "see you later". That statement is a promise to whoever you say it to.

1 pointHows about you just stop by Brandon on your way home from Toon Town next month Sunshine, and I will strap you to me for a few hours ;)
-
1 pointThis is something I adopted some time ago. This year, to make it really special I booked a duo. Seriously, if there are going to be that many candles, I want more boobies than I can handle. I received that and so much more. Ah, memories. Enjoy them while you can remember theem.
-
1 pointMy posts have been more of the fairness of the situation, not about a banner, not about a winner/loser there has to be some diplomacy on how it was done, and for future polls, if the board chooses to have them again after this one.
-
1 pointI woke up with a craving for the Scottish classic on the run morning treat....a bacon and peanutbutter sandwich. Don't knock it till you try it! So yummy and reminds me of being a kid back home :).
-
1 pointWell said whatsup. I have the same feeling and my heart goes out to Emily and also sad to see the recent direction that cerb is going lately. I would like to have my old very fair and friendly cerb back please :(. Emily was nominated legitimately. She was voted on legitimately and put to lead legitimately and therefore in my view her removal without her consent was likely illegitimate since she did not break any current rules of members choice award to the best of my knowledge. I am sorry but there is no other way to say it. I also agree that the poll has lost its legitimacy and should be terminated and rescheduled with Erotic Emily's name ADDED to the list.

1 pointI agree with Etasman, if it's travelling lady ask her before she leave her city! I don't have a problem with people asking for clothing request, pantyhose, stocking, heels are more then normal...though if the person ask for something too specific...like a plad green, red and brown skirt, a certain type of short, lingeries...REALLY specific, he can buy if he want but I am likely not going to do it...Not a fan of nurses outfits also on me 0_o The most fun request I ever had was me wearing my medieval dress!
-
1 pointMost ladies have no problems with clothing requests. However if you are seeing a visiting SP you should provide ample notice as she would have limited suitcase space.
-
1 pointmy vote would be Soliel personally i've even thought about booking an appointment (if she takes female clients)

1 pointLadies: Catch a glimpse of the Fat Bastard's In-call Community: Oh and you can buy one of these at the giftshop:

1 pointThanks everyone for those that nominated me as well as anyone who voted for me. Very overwheling actually as I had not checked the guys thread for awhile. As many know I am one of the resident jokers here and don't get too involved in the serious stuff cause it usually goes south for me anyways and I like to smile. After a joke or an orgasm ;) or an orgasm ;) haha Ya baby !! Sooo as I was saying. Thx Peoples !! Now I will have to go back to read the rules.....but I think the 2nd and 3rd place guys in the guys pole...oops I mean poll.... have to post an official duo ad in the duo thread with pics and entertain the winner of the ladies thread ??? Free !! which I think one dog has said before he gives it away for free ! Just catch him before nap time ;) At this point it is Old Dog and RG. So the pics might be well.....an Old Dog...with undies hangin off.....and RG's might me a pic of a fish ??? .... the one that got away perhaps ???? Sorry girls !!! u might get a better pic behind closed doors ?? haha Cheers :chug: Social is here soon !! Thx Again
-
1 pointI am sadden to see Erotic Emily removed from the poll (likely upon her own request being treated the way she was!!). When a clear leading contender is removed from the poll, the poll or the real members choice loses it validity. At least in my eyes. Sad.... :(
-
1 pointSo very many things turn me on but sensuousness would be number one (is that even a word? LOL)
-
1 pointUnfortunately, this is no longer a vote for the favorite SP. It is a battle between two warring factions. Sadly, this means that no matter which lady wins, it isn't a personal victory. I guess the most tenacious group will conquer!
-
1 pointMod, I hope you keep this poll going, you are busy enough with other things and if the there was rules that required to be changed prior to the poll, that is why you have a council. Nobody objected to the members to vote on. That council should be a lot more proactive looking at matters such as this, so there would not be any issues, after all I'm sure the council members in this poll and that are adding to the thread, should be looking at next years poll with guidelines and rules for eligible members. @CMJ the ladies that are members(employee's/work for) at Paradise and Angels touch AND are paid advertisers here on the board, so why can't they vote? Guess it worked in someones favor, and I guess it has been one hell of a marketing tool for Angels and Paradise, because this lady in question IS busy, AND she is tied in the lead in the poll. I see both points with people here, but would this thread even started in Emily was in third? fifth? tenth? I say NOT, and because this thread had started, and continues she is getting more votes based on the fact some thought it was not fair, she was in question. We say it is community? She works in Ottawa of course, guess she really does not feel welcomed by some, like in fact maybe going to the social? Meeting others?Has one of you even thought of sending her a message and seeing how she is doing? Did you not think she had been genuinely hurt by this? One thing is for sure, she will busy at Paradise because we have all gave her public acknowledgement and I'm happy for her, and I hope she is the busiest lady in the weeks to come, she deserves it, regardless how many posts she has.
-
1 pointWell, first time posting and first time visiting a massage parlour tonight. After texting back and forth for the past three weeks, finally managed to co-ordinate times with Emily of Paradise Spa! Well worth waiting in line. By the way, very fast at texting back too! What a freakin' treat! Have to admit, starting to believe that their is a Santa Claus after all. Sorry if I've shattered anyones Christmas by that last comment. I was disappointed too when I found out about Santa. Anyway, I'm not going to get into actual ratings in numeric value about Emily, kind of degarding and disrespectful to me. But what I can say, absolutely gorgeous! Can't think of any guy who driving down the street wouldn't turn his head while mouth drops to his chest (unless of course his wife / girlfriend is in the car). Even then, its worth the slap in the face or the cold shoulder for the next hour / or five! Trust me!! Amazing petite body with skin as soft as a babies butt. Seriously, extremely pretty and in my opinion, even more prettier than her pics. And frankly, those are pretty hot too! Personality was awesome. Great sense of humour and always smiling, even while she was getting a massage. Can't believe I didn't charge her ;-) Anyway, she mentioned she's fairly new to the business. I wouldn't know the difference myself as she popped my cherry tonight. First time massage parlour, if that's what their called. But if she's new to the business, I'd like to sign up for direct deposit into her bank account. Guys, I'm picky as hell, but she certainly exceeded my expectations. As for a repeat customer, sign me up! Gorgeous looking little lady, and gotta love those freckles Emily!
-
1 pointMembers can nominate "according to their own interpretation of the rules"? Give me a break! The rules are pretty straightfoward and it definitely doesn't say "interpret this however you please!"
-
1 pointHere's my take on it as a new member to CERB. When I first started out posting in the forums or in private convos, I noticed the Member's Choice graphic next to some of them. Without having any idea what that meant, I assumed that these women had won some sort of award for being highly respected by CERB members. It was natural for me to assume that I could trust them more or that they were veterans here on CERB. Now that I'm seeing what's happening here, I'm thinking that the guys are shooting themselves in the foot. New members won't know that someone has been voted in because of private participation or because they somehow got some publicity through discussions like this. They'll likely be like me and see that badge as evidence that this person has garnered the trust and respect of members through long-term community-building. I would personally prefer to see this kind of award going to someone who engages the community publicly rather than privately. Otherwise, it's no longer a community - it's email.
-
1 pointThe rule about not soliciting in PMs is a good one, I think. I also think that it's one thing to say hello, or thanks for checking my profile, and another to say, "come and visit me--I've got a special deal running now." While advertising happens in the Advertising section, I think that everything we post is advertising, too. We advertise our views and our ways of interacting when we engage in forum conversations. Many of us look up the things a member has written so that we can get a feel for the kind of person they are. Did a recent post seem out of character? Was something someone said intriguing enough that we might want to know more about them? Is this someone we might like to see? I know that there are some here who, because of the things they've written, I feel I would simply enjoy getting to know, in person, if the opportunity arises. Were I to travel to their cities, I might send a message saying that I'm going to be there and would enjoy having a drink or a cup of coffee with them. I would be very clear that I'm not soliciting business, but building a friendship. There are also some here I would not want to meet because, based on the things they write about or the way they express themselves, I don't think we'd be compatible.
