Thanks to all that attended and all that supported the night but could not make it out... I do believe that a good time was had by all!!!! It was fantastic meeting all the new faces and reacquainting with all the friends that have been made over the history of these events... it's always a wonderful time to be in a place where you know you belong without any judgment. My special thanks goes out to Angela of Ottawa, without whom none of this could have been possible. Many have thanked me but my assistance was the proverbial tip of the iceberg; Angela was the true engine that drove the social machine. I am so proud to have seen the mountain of toys that we collected, the money and goods that we garnered for the family in Belleville and the spirit of giving that all of us shared last night and in the weeks leading up to the party. We truly are a group of people with heart. Finally... to the unsung assistants that help out at each of these events, my heartfelt thanks. You never get credit, but are always there lending a hand when we really need it. I am of course talking about Shortcake and Loneskater... two of the finest people you could ever meet, and two individuals that I am proud to count among my friends. Merry Christmas to each and every one of you... may the season bring you peace and joy!

Darling Santa, I have been an extremely good girl this year and here's why I deserve to get my secret gift wish. 1. I haven't beaten anyone that didn't deserve it. 2. I haven't abused a single Honda this year. 3. I rescued a dog. (Yes,he's still alive!) 4. I quit smoking. 5. I didn't write a tell all book. 6. I stopped throwing water balloons off my balcony at drunk teenagers. 7. I stopped most of my OCD house cleaning behaviors. 8. I haven't left anyone tied to my bed longer than the agreed upon time limit. 9. I stopped messing with delivery men by wearing nothing to the door. 10. I no longer terrorize unsuspecting men in bars by leaving with their dates after they have paid for the drinks all evening. My secret wish: I want my Volvo to be finished. Yes, she is still being refurbished. I want her to have Ontario plates, registered and insured in my name. That way, I always have somewhere to live! cat

Obviously I don't know anything, but you need to be really careful with ads that say 18. Most underagers post as 18, and most professional sps with experience are not going to be just advertising on CL. So as a precaution, you should look for other ads on other sites, and just take a really hard look at how the ad is written. If you do decide to book, let her know you will expect to see ID. She can cover her real name, but pic and age date should be visible. Other than that, the fact she offers incall is another clue, and you can decide if the building or area is a good one or shady one.

Please - such questions are not appropriate here. And this has been discussed in countless threads. If you're looking for FS, see an SP. MPs are MPs. And if there are any that offer FS, (a) they wouldn't reply here and (b) nobody here would say so. It's really a good idea to read threads on CERB before posting such questions. Out of respect for the ladies and the hobbyists.

Well I could say the standard and get lost in the crowd with my singing ability, or the fact that I can cook/bake, or even my great head-giving skills... But, I'd rather share my Weird Talent. I do really good impressions of different animal sounds. I can do a monkey, pig, cat, and probably a lot more but I haven't wasted my time trying yet. lol. We all have a Special Something, don't we?

A great BIG thank you to Angela and Old Dog for their efforts in putting together last evening's event. As well, thank you to those who worked behind the scene to contribute time and everything that is needed to make such an event as successful as it was. Well done, bravo! :bigclap:

Not on your life. Not this woman. As far as some people saying, "Well, that doesnt sound very fair." What is fair? In my relatationship it IS fair, and it is up to the two individuals in the relationship to decide what is fair for them. When I come home after spending time with a hobbyist I am bringing in something for the family. If he were to return home from hobbying empty handed, it is not the same thing at all. Business is business and personal play time is personal. I don't share.

Essentially this is correct. We have a self-reporting tax system, and outside of getting tax slips CRA will accept what you report as self employed income. Now as someone on the previous page brought up it does need to be reasonable under the circumstances. If someone has been working as an SP for 20 years, they have a $400k home and are driving a new BMW it may make CRA ask where the money is coming from if you're only reporting $20k sales per year or not filing at all for that matter. How will they ever know what you drive or where you live? They likely never will unless someone tips them off (divorcing spouses and angry ex-business partners are notorious for dropping hints to CRA, but anyone with a chip on their shoulder would do). Shy of an extreme example like the above, it would be very difficult for CRA to prove anything beyond what you are depositing to your bank account. That is solid proof of cashflow. What you don't deposit is going to be near impossible to measure. But it would be awfully difficult to ever buy a house or build that self-directed retirement plan without creating the audit trail with deposits. And don't forget GST/HST either. Over $30k in sales and technically you need to register for GST and collect it from clients or it would come out of your pocket. As for registering a business, a lot of jurisdictions legally require anyone operating a business to register the business name unless it is just your real name. So you're ok if your business is just 'Jane Smith' but 'Jane Smith, Service Provider' would require registration. Basically that's a compliance thing to get you started down the road of reporting income. I can't say I've ever prepared a return for an SP. Neither have I heard of a CRA crackdown on this industry. As someone else mentioned it is largely 'off the grid' so to speak. And from CRA's perspective it would be exceedingly difficult and costly to find and audit because I suspect a lot of the cash won't ever see a bank statement. (They are considerably more interested in challenging claimed expenses on the returns people willingly file). In other words, I wouldn't lose much sleep over it.

Begin legit is the proper way of doing things. It is very easy. Just the same as any self employed person. Claim your money as an entertainer. It is best to do it the proper way. In the future if you want to get a house, a new vehicle or open a business, then you can. As you can show where your money came from. There is nothing illegal about companionship.

:bigclap: Thanks for the reminder Pete! 'Tis the season and all that good stuff :) We are all flawed and fallible. Now is a very good time of the year to take pause, examine inventory and implement change. Our community can be likened to a BIG "family". So many of us, so many opinions, personalities, etc. By my very nature I am going to become annoyed by others, simply because they are not me. However, a little tolerance goes a long way. Why wait for New Year's Eve - we have a new month upon us tomorrow. Ahhhh. New Beginnings. Have a grrreat Wednesday! :hump:
