it's not just girls, it's men too. I can't tell you how many times I've had clients try to get a reaction from me about something they see as juicy gossip, only to get a blank stare and a change of conversation in response. Unfortunately gossip will exist no matter what business you are in. I've encountered it everywhere, in every place I've worked. All you can do is stay quiet, and stay out of it. If you react, or feed it, then you're a part of it. I've had some pretty incredible rumours spread about me. It can make me laugh, and it can hurt. But the way I deal with it is to stay out of it. When someone comes to me and tells me a wacked-out story they've heard, I think my word is taken as truth mostly because I present myself as a non-gossipy, trustful person. If I don't gossip about other girls, but those same other girls gossip about everyone.... then who's word is to be believed? If people need to put others down in order to feel better about themselves, I feel sad for them. But I do my best to not let it effect me. That's all you can do, really.

I have been a provider for 16 years I have never put down a fellow provider. I don't understand why they feel a need to say others in my town who do this are junkies or have stds. How do they know are they using with them? Are they there when they get test results back? Why do that we are all providing a service that is a need for.. I think that by putting others down it ruins your business cause what person would want to be with someone who is mean and not discrete if they can talk about others. But I think you also have to account for your time lost traveling back and forth. Transportation fee + time traveling could be considerable so that you might have to add an additional hours to the fee to get full recovery.

Well folks.... I am sad to say that I did not make it to Ottawa today. Just before I was about to check in to Westjet I got the call that my two young kids and my parents were in a car accident. The were T-boned by a truck. It is a miracle considering the circumstances there were not serious injuries or fatalities. I just brought my little girl home from the hospital bruised up but okay !!! My mother is bruised up and father and my son are fine. My 4 1/2 year old daughter just said ...."I am OK now daddy....you better go to Ottawa I will be just fine " I teared up but couldn't leave ! Yeah, this is a common attribute of people (and businesses) in general, not just women or people in the sex trade. By knocking down a competitor, they hope to improve their own prospects. But it's a lazy and dumb strategy that seldom works in the long term. Sometimes it does works with the right audience though, which is one of the reasons people keep doing it. But a wiser audience will realize, "if person X is willing to do this about person Y, eventually person X will have a reason to do it about me." Whether it's tearing someone else down, or just thoughtless indiscretion and gossip, this is a good reason for me to drop someone from my life -- personally, professionally, or SP-wise.

Since the beginning of time, many women, in many different walks of life have "adjusted" their age - I think that is part of the "women's prerogative" thingy. What is more concerning is that someone would put a lady down because of her age (or for any reason). What motivates people to go out of there way to do such things? For me, one of the benefits of getting older is that it broadened the age range of women I find attractive. :) When I was 20, a woman over 30 didn't really appeal to me. I have come to appreciate the fairer sex for all they offer and I've come to learn that age has really nothing to do with a lady's charms - especially when it comes to intimacy.

I agree with Christy, incalls should cost more. Most workers keep a second place to run incalls from and that overhead is far more than transportation costs. Until I came to Canada, incalls were always more expensive from $20-50 per session depending on the quality of the location. The problem is that the business in Canada is already so competitive that anything charged over the going rate will cut into the bottom line. If I adjusted my prices to accommodate the added expense of keeping my location it would put my prices into the touring girl range and I wouldn't be able to keep myself afloat without touring so I eat the loss to stay local and still competitive... cat

Unfortunately "bullying" seems to have become more common in our market place. Some one new who attracts attention and interest can subjected to being outed to friends and family, and all of a sudden there's a raft of no shows and cancellations and also various rumours about services etc. Increased competition locally and travelers could be driving it. The $100 tip, plus door fee is comparable to what most independent MA's or an all inclusive spa charge for a complete massage experience. I suggest clearing the financials up right away with your MA, just like you would with an independent or agency before you start the session. That way you just relax and enjoy without the worry. The attendant appreciates this as well so she knows she's being compensated fairly and everyone is happy. Independent MA's and all inclusive spa's apply part of the fee's collected to keeping the business maintained, so a door fee is really no different. It's just an extra transaction.

I think having to discuss money when one is trying to relax and enjoy is horribly tacky and uncomfortable and especially having to get off a table and go reach in your wallet - what a mood killer. This is part of the reason I really enjoy working where I do. It's a flat fee for the room and my company! The tiered offerings always seemed to create a lot of confusion. If you communicate with the person you are going to see you can get the financials out of the way up front. This ensures that any tips that are beyond that are a token of appreciation for the encounter. I believe that just like any service industry the tip u leave should be in line with your own comfort level, and the service you were provided. I believe tips are not required, but I definitely remember the gentleman that offers one. In short in my opinion the answer to your question is that if you communicate up front you will never be left feeling like you shorted the lady, and anything above that is a kind token that will definitely be appreciated. Normally when you Visit a Spa/ Massage Parlour there is a door Fee that can range between 40$ and 80$ depending on the length of the appt.., also can be higher if you are looking for something longer than 60 min.. and/or Duo Session.. Tipping can range Between 60$ and 120$...l again this is at the discretion on the lady and to be discuss directly with her If you were to be looking at an Indy.. most of them offer Package prices.., so is a one fee that includes all..., Also some of spa ladies like myself... also offer packages (all inclusive prices) so that there is no suprises to the gentlemen that decide to visit... It is an interesting phenomenon, and sometimes what you will see connected to sp's moving locations and changing their names will be the same age is used for the new persona even tho she is technically 2 years older. It is a difficult business to be in to show older ages, for sure, and sometimes there is an old school mentality that says "younger is better", and sp's working for agencies feel that the most. They may be 30, but the agency posts them at 23, something they cannot pull off, but they are the ones face to face with client.s If that sp goes indy, she may be stuck with that age range, and have a hard time posting a more accurate one. Also, there is a sense that the age is already inaccurate, so those who use their actual real age have guys auto adding 5 years to it, and assuming their 30 is 35 plus. So some sps got into the habit of posting an age they can pass for, knowing that someone is already adding the 5 years they deduct the 5 in order to post an accurate age that someone will believe before they call, And then you have the ones who actually use their real ages, and comment that they do, and know that at least half the readers are saying 'yeah, right', and adding the 5 plus years to it already, if not more, because she's so adamant it is her real age. :) But, you also have to keep in mind the younger young ones. The ones who were actual 16-17 posting as 18 or 19 when they started. So are they staying the same age 5 years later, or are they simply now posting their real and legal age now.

I think what you want to do is second to who do you want to do it to. In the recent past, there was a general rule of thumb for tipping of $20 per service. This may not apply everywhere though, and can tend to be location-specific. First, of course, there's the "door fee", which usually ranges from $30 to $70 depending on duration of the session and the location you go to, daily special deals, etc. This is the part of the fee that is given to the spa for their administrative costs, such as rent, maintenance, and advertising. If you go to see an independent, they still need to pay for these sorts of costs for their own place, so you would include it in their fee as well, but they would call it their basic fee. The door fee or the basic fee is usually all that's ever given over the phone, the rest is discussed in private. The tips are usually discussed directly with the girl, but some indies may give you the overall fees on the phone. Now as for the tips, as mentioned it operates on a $20/service rule of thumb. First charged service is usually the HJ. The next service is whether you want the girl topless or nude; topless is $20, nude is another $20. So a topless HJ would be maybe $40, while a nude HJ would be $60. Then some girls offer extra services beyond that, such as bodyslides, etc., which could be another $20. Now in most spas, they'll never itemize it that way, they would consider it crass, but they usually just suggest a tip between $60 and $100 is suggested. But that falls somewhat into the $20 rule of thumb range too, maybe a little more.
