It's now been 24 days that I have stopped smoking... I have been thinking about quiting for a long time but any smoker will know that we need that extra motivation. Well I was so sick that I gave myself a good kick in the butt.... I don't miss the taste or the smell but the habit is hard to get ride of... If you have stopped smoking, what kept you away from it and kept you motivated. I need some positive comments to keep me going... Bring it on cerbies! Bianca

I love swimming and do it 4-5 times/week. Each session lasts between 30 minutes to 1 hour, it is a great exercise. My rule is to go anyway, even if the weather is awful, if I am tired or if I feel a bit under the weather. In those moments I just do what I can do at my pace. And yes, the sauna afterwards is a delightful reward ;-) The idea of exercising changed for me the day I decided that I would enjoy working out, that I would not do it to lose weight or to look better but for my well-being only, physical and mental, and that I would no longer follow programs that would make me sweat like crazy as if I were in a boot camp.

i've smoked for years quit a few times but always started again last time i quit for 9 weeks lol had some issues to deal with but i'll quit again. You feel alot better when you quit i only found it hard for the first couple days hard not to have a smoke with a beer they go together. Congrats! I'm an occasional smoker, so for me picking them up or putting them down is as easy as deciding to. Of course, I still get cravings for a couple days, but I don't enjoy being a full-time smoker. I like smoking, but not for more than a few weeks. Then I quit for a few months. Lather, rinse, repeat. I'm fucking weird.... :D

This may come across as a jackass response, but it is my heartfelt and honest response.... I stop looking in the mirror and weighing myself and comparing myself to other people. That's the best way to get into shape. I don't have a gym or workout routine. Sometimes I pop on a workout DVD, most of the time I don't. I don't pay any attention whatsoever to what I'm eating, I just make sure I'm not shoveling too much in at one sitting. That's it. I love my curvy body and I have no body issues that can't be solved by the cessation of comparing myself to other people. Works for me. That being said, I actually know a fair bit about working out and stuff. Weights are better than cardio. Cardio gets your heart-rate up which has great benefits, but weight-training, especially free-weights, is even better. It boosts bone density, helps build lean muscle (high rep, low weight) and keeps your body revved up for up to two days after the workout. Cardio should supplement weights, not the other way around. That's the fast-track to a lean physique. Along with a good diet.

That's too bad. I was there for lunch on Friday and she wasn't in at that time either. I rate her very highly. She's pretty intelligent and most definitely the girl-next-door type. Well, first things first, congrats on the first 24 days, Bianca and best of luck keeping at it. As for me, I smoked when I was young and at 19, I quit. Got the flu for a week, didn't smoke and after that just did it cold turkey. Now, of course, the habit wasn't as bad so I didn't have as hard a time with the withdrawal. So I don't know how much advice I can give but I just think it's mind over matter as much as anything else. On a side note, wow, 36 years since I did that and now just passed 18 since I quit drinking. Dang, I'm getting old.:frown:

Your going to find that with a lot of the features of the site. Migrating the site and all its components to lyla.com was (and still is) a HUGE undertaking. Not at all. Sex is important to me, both as an act and as a set of associated ideas and meanings. But I'm not always preoccupied with its pursuit, and my interest in it doesn't inhibit my enjoyment of many other things in my life. Because I'm curious about sex in multiple contexts, escorts are a great way to explore with manageable risk. It's variety where nobody gets hurt. Personally, I usually just would signal them with a wave or a smile. If they're too far away, I'll ask the waitress to ask them if they'd like a drink or a shot. Those usually work for me. On the rare occasion I'll be more bold and walk up to them myself and ask them over. If a girl comes up to me I'm not interested in, I'll politely tell them I'm just there for the drinks or the show. Sometimes I'll say I'm waiting on someone if there's a girl I know that's in that will come sit with me at some point. If they get insistent (or pushy), I'll just keep saying 'No thanks' with a smile. I try to remember that they are there to make money, so I like to see them make the effort to see me. There are some that do, some that don't, and it's reflected in the way the encounter proceeds. If they do try while I'm not interested, leaving in a snit will guarantee I won't ask you over ever (and I don't let it bother me, cuz all she's trying to get is your wallet in the end anyways).
