I'm not sure if many of you know about the particulars of strip clubs but many of them tend to have a Black Girl Rule. A Black Girl Rule is basically the cap they put on how many woman of colour are allowed to work in an establishment. ( usually 5) There is no white Girl Rule and that is made very clear. There's something about this Rule that makes me feel as if we're in the mid 1900's. I had called the club I normally work at and asked if I could come in early ( I start at 6 ) however there is a friend of mine on here that I wanted to see and could make it in at 2:00. I asked if I could come in early and the response was we're full and have no room for black girls. However, a "white girl" does not have to call in as they will never be too full. With other boards there is advertising but there the US v.s Them mentality where SPs are to be only seen and not heard. I advertise my escorting services here but do not on BP because of the b.s. I will only advertise massage there since I don't have to deal with people asking for unsafe services and I like doing massage. I have met very nice clients from here for escorting and don't mind paying for advertising as long as there is traffic brought back to the board. The censorship that is in place right now is one of the reasons why a few clients have told me they left. If recommendations weren't censored, the new owners may see an increased amount of membership. There has to be an incentive both both clients and SPs to be here. I like the fact that I don't deal with tire kickers here while on BP you have to weed through calls and texts to find a decent client. I would pay for advertising to not have to deal with things I've had to deal with on BP (Wots, pimps making fake appts etc). However there had to be a reason for men to come to this board. They want specific details when looking at recommendations. I've had many men also tell me they are getting fed up with BP as there are many fake pictures and scams on there with people who aren't established. Notice they always come here to check to see if someone is legit? Without sites like this to double check, a lot of people would be taking risks when visiting new ladies so there is a reason to keep a site like this going. If there is good numbers in membership here, why not charge for advertising? If an SP can get nice clients here instead of dealing with b.s , I'm sure they would consider paying in addition to BP but the men need to be here to make it worthwhile. As someone else mentioned, each site has its own unique brand. Lyla may be known as "the rose colored glasses board" for its positive recommendations only but it also hasn't stopped members of other sites coming here either. Many use both but censorship is a big issue whereas other boards have less rules where censorship is concerned. I don't fully believe that the laws themselves have stopped men from hobbying. The more they have to make decisions on whether or not to see someone is key. This is why many have left.

I think there is a misunderstanding where guys in this hobby think we want to date them and only the good looking ones such as the client #1 would be considered suitable as the ideal man in real life. Sure they were good looking but a few in that category turned out to be full of themselves and trying to score a f**k buddy. If I want that, it won't be with a client. Sometimes I feel as though we can't win either because some men out there have low self esteem and when trying to give them a compliment, I get the "Harhahrhar I bet you say that to all the guys" which I find to be very insulting and clearly makes the SP feel as though she is a bullshitter. Those are the onesie have found in my experience who are more likely to assume that we will only enjoy our job with the likes of client #1 and they have a really skewed outlook of who we spend time with as an SP. Sorry guys but you truly have no idea. Some of the best times I've had weren't with client #1 and there are also nice guys who happen to fall into the category of client #1 but I wouldn't call them an ideal guy I'd date in real life. One can't pin down a "type" because there are s many different combinations when it comes to men. I have so many great special relationships with regular clients and each one of them are nice in their own way. And I repeat, they are not client #1 I say this because most assume we want to be with client #1. A lot of women are not as shallow as you think. Well at least not me anyways. I tend to steer towards men in their early to mid 50's as someone I would consider dating. This leads me to believe that a lot of men I've personally noticed think we're just in it for the money period and if we get young hot men as clients who are well hung then we REALLY enjoy it and that we just put us with those are older or not in shape etc strictly for the money. Sigh..... Sure there are men out there who aren't Adonises but does that mean they're not worth spending time with whether as clients or personally? Does it not mean that they have other desirable qualities that can attribute to a great encounter? Does vanity now equal self worth? No! I'm in no way skinny Barbie myself physically speaking but I do have great clients who do find me very attractive and there is a connection there. They like me for me. They can see beyond someone's physique because it's not the be all or end all. The same applies to clients. I think this thread should be renamed to "Who is Your Dream Guy in Your Personal Life". I don't think you would get the answer to that. Client #1 does not exist in the way one would assume.

It means that all of those clients are good clients. end of story. you miss the point if you think that sps cannot care for or appreciate anyone other than a happy young goodlooking guy. or that they have no interest in providing services that they know will make a much bigger impact on the lives of all those client#2s than they will for all those client #1s. YOu cannot imagine the sincere satisfaction or good feelings that come when you have someone who is painfully shy react to the care and attention provided in our encounters. Or the gratitude of a much older man who has been neglected for decades. versus a young guy who is 'dateable", there is no contest. and it is yet another reminder that we don't advertise for dateables, but for clients, and nothing makes a work day end well than knowing you've made a difference in someone else's life. i had a client come to me for the first time, kind of seemed like client #2 in case number 2. but at the door, on the way out, gives me a big smile and asks can he come back to see me again. turns out the guy is hard of hearing, so he actually enjoying himself but not communicating since he can't really hear well enough to carry on a conversations. repeated (ideal client style) many times over several years.

This could be a case of "your mileage may vary" depending on her texting conversations with you. Then again, I'm not a mind reader and only a proposed scenario. Some SPs may feel pressured for whatever reason but contradicts what she previously stated which can confuse a potential client. In my personal experience, when I state a restriction, it's something I won't do -period...even with regulars because I'm not into it. If asked at a later date, I tell them it's not my thing. They can either accept it or go see someone else. Boundaries are in place for a reason and money or losing a client is not a factor in changing my mind. No one should feel coerced into doing something they don't like. Im not saying this was happening in the OP's situation but saying no to a certain activity (provided it's not something detrimental to their health and safety), this can be harder for newer SPs to deal with. They may want to avoid the feeling of being uncomfortable after saying no. This could also be another factor. They may feel they are losing out on something which is simply not true or may fear some sort of negative feedback/fallout with men who write comments on review boards especially when they are trying to establish clientele. They also may be struggling and feel they can't afford to say no. That truly is a personal decision when placed in that position so I can't comment nor am I in a position to judge. Some new SPs can be impressionable not realizing that enforcing a restriction by stating "no" doesn't necessarily mean there will be a negative impact on her. And if someone does give an SP a hard time on those boards ( I've seen it happen) after she has said no and he feels it's his duty to make this known in a disparaging tone then that shows who they are. I once had a new client for massage and he said he wanted to take a shower with me. I have a rule where I will only shower with long term regulars. This is something I'm willing to offer at a later date when someone becomes a regular with me but I also have restrictions where it's the same for everyone where it's something I'm not willing to negotiate ever. I have my reasons for not showering with new clients and told this person upfront on the phone. I said if it was a deal breaker then it's best to find someone else because I wouldn't want to damper the mood. He still chose to visit me and it was one of the worst dates from hell. I had never walked away from an appointment feeling so mentally drained like I did that day. He complained about everything from the coconut oil I used, to the body wash I had for my clients in the shower and then tried to guilt trip me about not going in the shower. Being the experienced SP that I was, I remained professional but no matter what, he would still find something to complain about. What he should of done was found someone else when I told him it's probably best but on the phone, it didn't seem like it was the be all end all for him. Boy was I wrong! Had I choose to lift that restriction because he was whiny about it, I wouldn't be staying true to myself. My advice is if someone first says something isn't available then it's best to move on.

Probably best way to help, as a client, is start mentioning to the managers that there aren't enough black girls at the club, and you prefer seeing a more diverse group etc. Least confrontational option and it will hopefully be taken seriously. Sadly I'm not in the best of positions to influence a change either (not running a club or working there myself) but maybe talking to other white dancers and asking for a bit of help here and there (can you give me a shift? Etc) and if any girls agree that the BGR is stupid, they can offer you the occasional shift... I mean, hopefully you'll be allowed in especially if no one else will take that slot.

While the idea is good, I would be incredibly surprised if any club ever openly admitted to doing this. In my experience, it's more of an open secret that others eventually hear about from the black dancers that are subjected to it. Short of filing a complaint with the Ontario Human Rights Commission, I don't have any alternative ideas to offer up though.

To put a fine point on this topic, what we're really talking about is race profiling. That's really dangerous material for discussion. EXTREMELY FLAMMABLE. I'm not a moderator, nor any kind of influential voice here. Still, I'm going to ask that we keep in mind to keep our conversation civil. We've been posting about how much we disagree with it, that it shouldn't exist, and how to possibly use it since it does. Maybe we should try to actually DO something about it. It suddenly occurs to me (duh) that posting something here on a fairly obscure message board isn't going to do diddly squat to fix anything. We're just slapping each other on the back for being morally upright. The people who are actually affected by the BGR won't be able to convince anyone to change it for the very reason that it exists. If you are a patron of a club where this rule is in effect, talk to the manager or the owner and see if you can get it struck down. I have no idea if that will be effective, or change anyone's mind. You won't know until you try. One easy and fairly anonymous way might be to call the club and ask if they have a Black Girl Rule for scheduling. If they say yes, tell them that you'll start coming back again when they don't. Repeat. Boycotting is meaningless if nobody knows why. Deep, calming breath ...

Establish a schedule where YOU are always in to build your regulars , so you re not left out having to ask to work . In the sex work industry, I find a lot of places like agencies, strip clubs etc, 100% DO have a cap on black women and it's honestly disgusting. These owners convince themselves black girls won't make money, so they won't put any on, and then use THAT (not letting black girls work)as "proof" that black girls don't make money. It's nice of you to give the clubs the benefit of the doubt, but the ones that place a quota on black dancers (who, you may notice, they also never put on stage one after the other if at all avoidable) do it for the same reason they ban rap and wearing hats. They think that letting too many black dancers work will result in too many black patrons, who they tend to equate with gangs. Many club managers (not just in Ottawa) are quite shortsighted in terms of the dancers they allow on their rosters. Case in point: the black dancer quota. Many clubs also don't allow dancers over a certain size to work at night. It's not about having variety so much as having dancers that fit their view of what customers like.

I think every guy has his own preferences and some don't even see colour as a factor. How does the club decide what their patrons will like when we all don't like the same things? The idea that they think "white males" only like "white females" is so dumb. Because I could personally tell you how many "white males" have crowned me as their goddess. I don't see colour, I think we're all beautiful people. Plus, most people come to a club to have what they don't have at home. Example, I've noticed most black men will come for a white dancer. i would think it all depends on the MA. Everyone is different. Some like trimmed, some like shaved, some like full. a lot depends on chemistry too, if you both like each other, it shouldn't be an issue.
