Welcome! There are many amazing providers in the area. Check out the NS recommendation section and see if you can find one that grabs your interest. Everyone has different tastes so it’s hard to narrow it down without knowing your tastes. Find someone who is well recommended there and you likely won’t go wrong for your first time. There are lots of scams out there so sticking with someone who is well reviewed by long time members to start is the safest bet. As far as things to know before getting started? I can sum it up with “be respectful”. If you follow this than you’ll likely have an amazing time. I wrote the following list for newbies a long time ago for the new members section. Bottom line is the scammers buy ads too. They'd loose most of their revenue if they found a way to stop them. As far as LL goes, I tend to assume it's fake until proven otherwise.

Also have a llok at the "other ads from this user" at the bottom of the ad. Multiple ads in multiple different places at once. That's about as red as flags get 😉

I seldom even bother checking when the pics look like they are stolen from an Instagram model like that, but they are easy enough to rule out with a quick search. Copy and paste the photo into yandex.com/images (right click on the photo and select copy image, then hit Ctrl and V in the search bar of yandex) It will tell you where else in the world the pics are being used if anywhere. Agreed. While there are some legitimate, well established ladies that require them, deposit scams are the number one grift out there. Never send a deposit to someone you can't fully verify. (like multiple reccos from established members, social media presence, web site, etc.). It's an easy way to lose money fast. I'm not saying that is necessarily the case here. Just that it's a hard no for me if it's someone I've never heard of.

I’ve always been surprised how good we have it here to be honest considering the size of our city. I’m guessing that per capita, this has to be one of the best cities in the country for the hobby. Comparing us to cities like Toronto and Montreal is hardly fair considering the population difference. I do agree that there are far more scammers then ever out there so you do have to do your homework but I’m guessing that’s a universal trend. Safe hobbling everyone. Happy new year!

Sounds like you have a lot to think about and work through, and I hope your therapist is helpful with that. Only you can decide what is best for your own wellbeing as well as that of your family at the end of the day. I do feel you are right to hold off on any major decisions in this regard at this point though. As you said, it's all still very fresh. The thing about "self destruct buttons" is that they can't be unpushed. They often bring a lot of unintended collateral damage as well. One more word of advice if I may be so bold; Stop hanging around on boards like this. It won't help you to move forward. Your online time and habits are phytologically intertwined with the addiction. It isn't just the time you spend doing the thing. It's the life and habits you have built around it. I sincerely hope you find your way through this. Good luck with everything my friend.

I believe you are making the right decision holding off for now. As Berlin and Ava have both stated quite eloquently; unburdening yourself in this way is is going to be at the expense and pain of your S.O and your child. If you feel you need to make a change in your life, then do it. Seeing your therapist is a fantastic way to start. They can help you process your feelings and plan for your future. If you aren't happy with the advice they are giving you, then find a new one. The take away is this: There is nothing any of us can ever do to change decisions we have made in the past. That sadly just isn't the way life works, no matter how much we would like it to be at times. We can however control the choices we make in both the present and the future. Those are the decisions you need to focus all of your energy on. That's where you can actually make a difference. That doesn't mean to simply forget the past, but to learn from it as best you can. Blowing up your life as well as the lives of your S.O. and your son simply won't change that past. It will likely just make it difficult to move on and do better in the future. Focus your energy on being present now and doing better for them. That's how you can make amends.

Honestly it depends on the lady. I’ve had 2 experiences where I booked/paid for an hour and was rushed through and out the door in 20 minutes or so. I’ve also had many wonderful experiences where an hour was not nearly enough. It is hard to tell what the experience will be when seeing someone new, so I do understand why some gents like to book for 30 min first time. Recommendations can tell you a lot but there are limits to what you can learn when specifics are not discussed. Much hated acronyms like msog can also be helpful. (I know, I know but hear me out). It is not so much about the count but more about weather or not things are ending the second she can make him pop. It isn’t about weather he can finish again. It’s about weather or not you’ll get the full hour. If not, then why pay for it? Just a few random thoughts from my own experiences.

It is likely because the site has you listed as a "new account"(Moderated Member). I see that you are not having been here since 2014 and with a post count of 27, but it says that you are for some reason. You may want to message the mods and ask them about that. Likely a glitch in the system. I suspect that new users can't post there to prevent people from creating an account just to slag someone they don't like.

And lastly, make sure that the ad you are responding to is real. On sites like LL, it seems like about 2/3 of the ads are fakes sometimes. These bogus ads range from bait and switch to downright money scams. There are lots of legit girls wo advertise there as well, but always make sure you can verify that they are real from other sources such as this site. (If they have multiple recco's from long time gents here, then they are most likely real.) Never send a deposit to anyone that you can't verify as real through another source. That is the number one scam you will see out there. Some legit girls do charge deposits as well, but just make sure you verify they are real first. Think with your northern head, not your southern one 😉 Checking out the recco page here is a great place to start, as it is easy to verify they are real, and you can judge things from other's experience. You can also send info requests to those who wrote the recco's. Not all gents will respond, but most in my experience are quite helpful when asked. Good luck and have fun!
