As a matter of fact, I did PM Emily! :) I apologized to her for all of this, I gently explained where I was coming from, I congratulated her on her graciousness through all of this and I let her know that my intention was never to make her feel badly. However, and I am very saddened to say this. She is now afraid to post. She said she's been encouraged by others to start threads and respond, but now she's gun-shy, and who can blame her? This really bothers me. Again, I am very sorry for upsetting the wonderful atmosphere that has developped over the years on this wonderful board. All I was doing was trying to speak up for those who were too polite to do so. And I remain steadfast in my opinion. But it's still just a matter of opinion. Some agreed with me, and many did not. But does that mean my opinion of those who disagree with me deserve to be thought of any differently? I say no. I've honestly enjoyed reading all of the opinions of everyone, and have grown from many of them. Again Emily, I am so very sorry that you were unwittingly thrown into the middle of this. You did not ask for it, nor deserve it. Please join us in posting Emily. The rest of us really want to get to know you too. :)

I had considered writing this in the women's poll, however I believe that it might be more appropriate here. Perhaps if there is any wisdom then it might be transferred over to that poll. I heard about these recognition awards and anticipated that it might be fun and as well, a good way to recognize those who have significantly contributed to the community. I have been so fortunate to have been able to read and learn from the postings of many men and women alike who have welcomed me into this community, who have taught me many newfound life lessons, and who have made me smile and question and even cry. When I saw that I was nominated I thought just how cool and fun is that! When I see that I have actually received some votes, I think wow, that is really neat. Perhaps some of what I say IS of interest to others or maybe even helpful at times. However, should I have received enough votes that would have put me anywhere near the top of the category then I would have felt that something was in error, because I know, as do we all that there are members here who far and away are the most deserving. The three current leaders are in my opinion exactly the three members who have most perfectly met the criteria set in place for voting. It is pretty clear that members are not using the same rationale for voting in the womens poll. Certainly all members of CERB have their own ways of contributing. It is also absolutely clear to me at least that there are a selected few men and women who stand head and shoulders above most of us as members who have helped all of us in finding our way through this lifestyle. I for one truly appreciate the help that I have received and the kind, thoughtful, educational and informative pieces that are contributed for the benefit of all. It distresses me to see conflict in what should be a fun, enthusiastic and supportive community. At the moment, much of this is not fun at all.

I may have the answer to all of the hussing and fussing... I think it is important to keep in mind that Erotic Emily has probably (and I say probably cause you cant see who voted for who) had the support and votes from all her fellow coworkers (Kenndi, Angelica, DDDpleasure, Jayla Fierce, Cheryl etc.... ) and her bosses 2 accounts, (paradisespa and angels touch). We cannot fault anyone for supporting their team, I would do the same for my staff.... but that should shed some light on the voting polls as they stand now. If you take that into account, Angela of Ottawa and Samantha Evans are the true leader in the polls. Nothing against you Emily, Im sure you are fabulous and that next year you will be a strong contender if you keep up your contributions to the public side of the board. Good luck to all the ladies in the running!

Members can nominate "according to their own interpretation of the rules"? Give me a break! The rules are pretty straightfoward and it definitely doesn't say "interpret this however you please!"
  5. 6 points
Ok. Here goes. (wincing) I'm going to do something I've been really scared to do since it's happened. But I'm going to brave and speak up. The fact that true contributors to this board are neck and neck with Erotic Emily is negating the whole point of the Poll and Award. In no way am I attacking you Emily. You are obviously a sweet, friendly, sexy and enthusiastic member here. But to win this award, it needs to go to someone who publically shares their thoughts, musings and opinions so that we all benefit. That was this award is about. To honour the people on here who have put in the time to share with all of us, their struggles, triumphs or even just questions. From my understanding, you haven't been on here long enough to have had time to do any of this. Your private flirtings and advertisements should not, in my opinion, garner as many votes as some of the women on here who we feel we know and can trust from their time here with us. This could certainly come for you with time, but perhaps your nomination should have been held over until you've allowed yourself the time to get to know all of us, not just potential clients. Make sense? We all welcome you to cerb with open arms Emily, but to bear the seal of Favourite Service Provider, you deserve more time to truly earn it. :)

Well, whether people like it or not, I am going to give my opinion. Not all will agree with me, but they can give me as many negative rep points as they want, because it doesn't matter. I have had plenty of those before, I am not one to say things to please people, I will give my view. If the members want to vote a certain way, that is up to them and everyone and I mean everyone that feels that the voting and nominations should not have been the way that they like them regardless of why, are being very selfish in their views. Trying to hide behind whether the spirit of the rules were being followed, or the letter of the rules....give me a break. I can't even remember who I voted for now, and could care less. There is no way the results now can be viewed a legimate and whoever ends up winning it should come with an asterik beside the name. No disrespect to anyone, particular the leading candidates, but the recommendation to shut down the whole poll, was the right one and should have been done. A decision to remove Emily, for whatever reason at this point in time, looks worse than shutting down the whole poll. I am sorry, but I find in general many of the comments by many of the members to come across as pure jealousy and they just make themselves look spietful. This has been a fiasco of major proportions and I just sit here and shake my head. On to the next poll, this one is a mess. It was suppose to be fun....ya right.

As I recall you had access to the bad date area in the past and you wrecked it for yourself and were voted out. In my opinion you, you not following the rules wrecked it for the privilege of other agencies to be allowed in. We as independents hold one another accountable for the information we provide in our area, if any one abuses it we vote on it. At the end of the day we gave you a chance and you blew it. This is not something that I want to risk having my safety jeopardized for as the information needs to be 100% private at all times. The sick thing is, if everyone took more time to screen any potential client there would be fewer or hardly any bad dates.

Mod, I hope you keep this poll going, you are busy enough with other things and if the there was rules that required to be changed prior to the poll, that is why you have a council. Nobody objected to the members to vote on. That council should be a lot more proactive looking at matters such as this, so there would not be any issues, after all I'm sure the council members in this poll and that are adding to the thread, should be looking at next years poll with guidelines and rules for eligible members. @CMJ the ladies that are members(employee's/work for) at Paradise and Angels touch AND are paid advertisers here on the board, so why can't they vote? Guess it worked in someones favor, and I guess it has been one hell of a marketing tool for Angels and Paradise, because this lady in question IS busy, AND she is tied in the lead in the poll. I see both points with people here, but would this thread even started in Emily was in third? fifth? tenth? I say NOT, and because this thread had started, and continues she is getting more votes based on the fact some thought it was not fair, she was in question. We say it is community? She works in Ottawa of course, guess she really does not feel welcomed by some, like in fact maybe going to the social? Meeting others?Has one of you even thought of sending her a message and seeing how she is doing? Did you not think she had been genuinely hurt by this? One thing is for sure, she will busy at Paradise because we have all gave her public acknowledgement and I'm happy for her, and I hope she is the busiest lady in the weeks to come, she deserves it, regardless how many posts she has.

Well going by the rules I would suggest that there is room for interpretation. Especially when you pay close attention to the following, specifically the bold portions. The SP-AWARD (Pink One) is for the ladies who are part of our community here on cerb. A recognition award for the ladies who take time to participate and contribute in the forums and chat areas. This is not an award for best service (that is what the recommendations sections are for) this is a award to recognize the service providers who join in the conversations, help answer some questions and give you a little view into the other side of the business! After reviewing Erotic Emilys posts, etc. I see that she has replied to threads, joined in conversation as well as posted her advertisements. I do not see that a member must have a certain amount of posts in order to qualify. So, in a way this is an interpretation whether we like the interpretation or not.

Here's a suggestion. And I'm being serious. How about instead of this whole voting business the awards be based on rep points and post nominations instead. For example at 1000 rep points you get a special little "value member" or whatever icon. At 5000 another little icon thingy and the highest award for 10,000 rep points. Something like that anyway. It seems to me that would be a much fairer, less biased system. And would effectivly avoid this kind of squabbling. Just my 2 cents for the mod. Posted via Mobile Device

I knew something nefarious had to be going on, cap. How else to account for this result?? Thank you for explaining it to us. LOL Seriously, if I may state 2 basic principles, as I understand them: 1. All members may nominate any other member according to their own interpretation of the rules, without seeking anyone else's permission or approval. Here we assume of each other that all are acting in good faith and without ulterior motive. We have to give each other that much credit. 2. All members may vote for whomever they like, according to their own preferences, without being challenged, second-guessed, or having their motives questioned by other members. It's called respect. Then we live with the result. Whether we like it or not. It's called democracy, and that's the other thing this poll was about. I nominated several women for this poll, and never intended to promote any single one. I have not even stated my own voting preferences in public, All I have said is that I firmly believed that all the women that I nominated were in one way or another worthy nominees, at least worthy to be on the list. I also never intended to cause controversy or to distress anyone, and am sorry if this has resulted from anything I said or from the vote. I will leave this now. Thank you.

I'm going to call it like it is here because I'm tired of pussyfooting around on this issue. I will say it diplomatically because I don't wish to start a war here so I will tread lightly. Emily is just a puppet in all of this and she has been nominated not because she is a valued member ( she is new here so let's be honest) but for other reasons that people want to use to their advantage. Someone else is pulling the strings. She has been put in the middle of something that now has her afraid to post. I'm sure she is a good MA and knows how to handle her business. The fact of the matter is she does not have many posts and has not contributed the way other ladies have. And let's not argue about PMs or advertising being considered a contribution. It's not! It is about taking time from your own schedule to post your own feelings and opinions that are publically posted that makes the board what it is. If she sticks around, I'm sure in time she will be considered a true contributing member. I have nothing against her and again, this isn't about her. This is about a shift in the board and I truly believe this poll has been purposely thrown to screw up poll results. Why? This is all about egos and it has become a male v.s. female dynamic here. I feel many want us to be seen but not heard. I have seen it happen on other boards as well. It's all become about screwing up a good thing.. Cerb was not like this a year ago. Many people don't want to see Cerb succeed due to their egos and their need to want to control everything. This isn't a man's world anymore and the ladies are here to stay. There you go.... finally someone said it!

Unfortunately, this is no longer a vote for the favorite SP. It is a battle between two warring factions. Sadly, this means that no matter which lady wins, it isn't a personal victory. I guess the most tenacious group will conquer!
  14. 2 points
While yes a bad date could happen to anyone, a potential client who has been screened properly with name, place of work, etc is less likely to do anything other than know show, knowing that the lady has his information and she verified it sort of makes one think twice about trying something stupid. All the extra time and effort into screening pays off, as you cant put a price on your life or safety.
  15. 2 points
You are 100% right, I did open up about a client who was a bad date and was talking smack on another board. It was wrong that I said anything about him. It never should have happened.. It didnt however jeapordize anyone, What I did was echo what others actually were saying about him. Again, I was pissed at him going off and I lost my cool and I retaliated and have learned from that. Here's the thing.. Honestly I am not interested in personal information of the female escorts.. And I agree they should have the section that way. What I am suggesting is a NEW section that is a bad date section that is open to agencies and sps alike. I'm sorry to disagree with you, but a bad date can happen to ANYONE. We co-operate with police, we share info as much as we can with anyone who asks, and keep impecible records. But there is only so much we can do, and some of the ppl that we have had problems with, NOBODY would have been able to see them coming. Again I will reiterate that we have a tremendous amount to offer SPs in the line of information about dangerous clients, and annoying waste of timers that its current. (We turn away on average 20 ppl a day)

This community of CERB has its own personality, and the debate around the awards give me the opportunity to say my thanks to all the people, hobbyists and SPs, that share their thoughts and their experiences not only about this hobby, but also about many social issues. I try to participate at my best, and sometimes bring my contribution to the community. I admire those who can post a lot, but I dont undervalue those who are more discreet. There is a place for everybody, and every contribution has its own value. I never felt that a race was ongoing, and the awards are, in my point of view, a pleasant way to say thanks to the members that take time to share with the community. So, again, thanks to all the nominees, but also thanks for those who read and make this hobby possible.

If I could take my name out of the list of nominees I would. It is completely useless and I no longer want anything to do with it. It is sad to see that many ladies contributions have been overlooked by what seems to be a popularity contest. Congrats to those who have abused this poll. I agree that it should be shut down and next time there should be certain criteria or qualifications in place for those to be nominated. I no longer wish to appear on these lists again. I will make one last contribution to Cerb at the end of this month.

Not in any means I am intending to hijack this thread however it is unfortunate that us agencies have no where to post a bad date situation to pre-warn other providers :(

Every single one of us ladies knows this vote is total bullshit. No offense to Emily herself, as this has NOTHING to do with her personally, but she should not have been nominated, her so-called contributions are the exact same contributions the rest of us make on a daily basis. She has not contributed to the public forums IN ANY WAY. She has not gone out of her way to post or contribute to the public forum discussions and as the rules clearly state, to be nominated you must have contributed in the forums and in chat. Posting ads is not a meaningful contribution, no matter how you want to slice it. Paint me however you want, at the end of the day, I still stand by what I've said. This forum has completely devolved into an "us vs them" mentality with a few members derailing important conversations (such as this one) by either completely disregarding our concerns or by trying to paint us as "bitchy" or whatever else. But let's face it guys, you don't come here to wank off with other guys, you come here so you can interact with all of the wonderful ladies who make up a part of CERB. Keep pissing us off, and many of the wonderful ladies you see here, won't be here anymore.

From what I see, there is no stipulation on how long an SP should be an sp here on the board before she is nominated for the award( other than 10 posts??) It is about involvement, which I would think it should be publicly. It is the impact we have to be a positive influence and a safety net for each other as well. Through sound advice, or cheering someone up what have you. I can see, from the little I know on Emily, that she must have made a wonderful entrance to us here on cerb, even being a new member, she defiantly has our attention. She seems to be bright, well spoken, kind and that is a good representation of our community here. I do hope to see more involvement to have a better sense into her beautiful mind. however, for her to have been nominated, that would suggest to me that she has these great qualities that would deserve such an award, otherwise people would have not nominated her.....as for the votes as well. The math speaks for itself here. Admitingly....for those who have spent so much effort in publicly being involved, perhaps it may sting just a bit, but you know....at least you made a difference here! Our efforts are not lost if we have helped someone through tough times, or to help them learn etc... I am so thankful for all the members here for what I have learned form each of you!

As one of the people who nominated Emily, I should probably intervene here, though I do so reluctantly, not wanting to stir up more controversy. As WIT's very insightful posts says, there are many ways to contribute to a community, and it's up to the community as a whole to judge what it deems most useful. That's the point of this exercise, after all. It's also a feel-good exercise, to thank and congratulate all the nominees, all of them. It was in that spirit that I originally proposed Emily's name, to acknowledge her spectacular entry into cerb and the positive, galvanizing effect she had had in a very short time, winning approval and friendship from many members, and having a huge network of correspondents. That took time, effort, and caring on her part, communicating with members and establishing the personal rapport which, as it turns out, has given her a substantial number of votes. I hoped by nominating her that she would win some public acknowledgement for her efforts, recognition as a nominated valued member that was, I thought, merited. She deserves to be among the nominees. Whether she deserves to be poll leader is not for me or any individual other member to decide. Again, this is intended as an activity that strengthens the community, not one that divides it. My thanks to all on the list of nominees. Your contributions, different as they are, are what makes cerb a valued community.

WIT, I'm sticking my neck out here but I respectfully disagree. I've been here since Jan. and am surprised I made it to the nominees. I'm very thankful and humbled but my presence here lies on the integrity, humor and support I have known of this board since I have joined. I'm still not seasoned enough to step up to the plate of a few ladies I know in this poll. If it wasn't for the ladies that participate in the forums, it would have taken me much longer to have my questions answered. Many of the ladies voted here are selfless and help direct both the hobbiests and providers in the right direction. This award should go to the ladies that contribute as a whole in the forums and from what I have experienced, welcome the new ladies in and give their seasoned advice. Emily looks like a great girl. I welcomed her here as a fellow MA and wish her so much success. In time, she will know the other ladies as well and share recommendations and advice. However, what about the ladies who answer a question you may have in the SP, MP, General forum? This is a board where public questions are answered by these members with the experience to help the one's that need advice. That is what this award is about in my eyes, publically and privately. Not everyone privately messages and if someone has a question about a particular request, these members are there to help. I feel this award is earned in time and experience. My last two cents. ; ) This is not an award for best service (that is what the recommendations sections are for) this is a award to recognize the service providers who join in the conversations, help answer some questions and give you a little view into the other side of the business!

Well I am glad to know that. For me, my criteria for voting is for those who make real contributions to the board: lounge posting, thoughtful comments, funny stories, passion for this industry, classy, commited, and also very very supportive of those of us involved in providing. It's because I get to "know" them that i want them to know I appreciate what they have done to help make this such a nice place to visit. I am sure that that is what this kind of voting is all about, yes? To acknowledge the real contributions of the ladies, rather than say a popularity contest or just a pretty face? Nice to give thanks to someone who takes the time to share their thoughts, is what I'm getting at here, lol.

I respectfully disagree, Emily. When I see "Come and see me soon" to me it comes across as soliciting. So if I think that way, so will others and that is what the guys don't like. It also makes the Poster seem a little pushy or desperate. Just my two cents.

I am just back to the East coast after an Ontario holiday. I spent most of it with family, but I did get to be a tourist in our nations capital city and I loved every minute of it. Now I would not want to say that you are spoiled there or anything, but, man, two things come to mind right away! Paved bike trails. I did the Rideau Canal loop, and had a day in Gatineau. I will be back for the biking for sure! Oh yes, spoiled. Well, you see, as spoiled as I am here on the East coast with our amazing women and the equally amazing ladies who tour here, most of my meetings involve a minimum of four hours travel for me to get there to see someone and then usually an overnight followed by a minimum of four hours to get home. So when I hear complaints about having to drive across Ottawa from one side to the other for you guys to see someone, I smile to myself. :) I love Ottawa, love the women that I have met there, loved the people watching opportunities, loved the different restaurants, and I shall be back for all of the above. I just wish I could be there for the next social. I am not yet ready to move from PEI though, by a long shot. :) The grass is not always greener on the other side, so all you Ottawa folk, enjoy the opportunities that your beautiful city provides to you.

After a joke or an orgasm ;) or an orgasm ;) haha Ya baby !! Sooo as I was saying. Thx Peoples !! Now I will have to go back to read the rules.....but I think the 2nd and 3rd place guys in the guys pole...oops I mean poll.... have to post an official duo ad in the duo thread with pics and entertain the winner of the ladies thread ??? Free !! which I think one dog has said before he gives it away for free ! Just catch him before nap time ;) At this point it is Old Dog and RG. Sweet baby jeebus... I highly doubt anyone is looking for any kind of opinion from me, but that's rarely stopped me, so here goes. I have paid absolutely no attention to this poll. Hopefully, the ladies don't take that as a slight; I just find what ultimately equates a popularity contest unpleasant and childish, and they always generate this kind of mess. I have been on this board since my birthday, this year. A single dude wanting to enjoy his birthday likely was part of the reason for joining, but an abiding interest in the adult industry and the personalities in it was a greater reason. I joined CERB because I find the topics discussed here, for the most part, fascinating. I would gladly make friendly with any of you over a cup of coffee and just chat. Since that is rarely offered, reading the threads is the next best thing. A few of the ladies in particular have provided me with interesting reading and generated good dialogue on this board. AngelaofOttawa tops my list, but that's just because we *did* have coffee. ;) All kidding aside, Samantha Evans, Angel Star, Malika, Charlotte, Nikki, Berlin, and *so* many others that I hope are not offended by not being named have provided insightful conversation for all of us to read and enjoy. That's why I still lurk here and occasionally inflict my version of insight into the threads. I have nothing against Emily. I would like to (nudge nudge wink wink). I like attractive young women with tattoos, and she seems to genuinely have a great personality. However, her contributions are one on one and out of the public eye. So, I can't speak to their value, though I'm sure they're great. If this poll is about individual, subjective opinion of one on one interactions, I don't think it's anything more than a popularity fiasco. The community is grown and nurtured by the public contributions that are made, despite the parallel value of what is shared privately between members. I can't learn from what I can't see. I'd love to learn more from Emily, as I'm sure many others would. I'm not voting because I think it would be an unintended slap to all those other wonderful and brave women who share their experiences with us openly, and I'd hate to be perceived that way.

I just wanted to imput my two sense in thinking that it is extremely WONDERFUL that emily has made enough of an impact here on CERB that she had enough love from all to be nominated in the first place ( should that not count for something)...I think she is wonderful for someone so new and from what I am seeing she is trying her danged hardest to be a big contributer on here!!! It's a shame the road this thread has taken considering all the wonderful women on here in the first place :)......

What if that paid advertiser working at a spa was born on a Thursday and had an extraneous nipple? Would she have to have the nipple removed, ride in a rickshaw to work and bus tables to gain access to the SP only area or would she qualify if she got her third nipple pierced?

There is a simple solution. We ask the MOD to kill the poll/thread/award... NOW. Ask yourself, "Is it worth risking the continued health of this community for such a trivial matter?" Take a few steps back. Hold the poll in December, January... whenever. Clearly define the attributes of a "Member's Choice Candidate" or a "CERB Valued Member" in the interim. If a candidate does not meet the merit criteria, they can't be nominated. The key contributors will STILL be the key contributors. The most deserving candidates will be nominated, and the eventuality is that someone will get a fancy banner on their profile. In the meantime, EVERY member is a VALUED member; EVERY provider is a VALUED provider. Let's let this go... book with each other and enjoy what everyone brings to the table. After that, we can all go out and buy me a beer.

I have trumpeted the virtues of Isabella before, both publicly and privately, and although I may not go into specifics again that is not to say I can't. She is a wonderful, kind lady who has that certain je ne sai quoi. Although I have yet to have the pleasure of a face to face meeting that is indeed on my coming Christmas list.

Miss Emily took the time to participate in the thread to explain her contributions to the CERB community by posting the following: Originally Posted by Erotic Emily I know I may not have been on and in the cerb community for long, and my contributions may not be public, but i spend hours upon hours every single day speaking to so many amazing curious people. I give everyone an equal part of me. I am sure someone else will graciously accept this award, but i am forever grateful to Cato for thinking I was worthy and deserving enough....even for a split second! Thank you, xoxoxoxo I think what is being overlooked here and feels "unfair" is that ALL (most) other CERB ladies (including myself) do just that: We spend countless hours responding to private messages on a regular basis (you can also add emails and phone calls for the independent ladies), we provide our potential clients with information about ourselves and about everything else you gentlemen are interested in fiding out (it's what I call being a responsible and effective business woman in order to generate business- I certainly do not see this as a contribution to the community), we give the gentlemen an unselfish equal part of ourselves in many ways, we also spend multiple hours corresponding with gentlemen whether we are going to meet with them or not (I know I do), etc... I think the general feeling is that the voting guidelines were not respected. It has nothing to do with the beautiful and sexy Emily ;) Hang in there Emily! :)

Guys, it's all pretty clear... The award rules mention that this is "a recognition award for the ladies who take time to participate and contribute in the forums and chat areas." Forums and chat are both public areas. This isn't about community-building anywhere else. Clearly, what's happening here is a problem with the members not bothering to vote for the SP who fits the description of who this award is meant to honour (based on the award description itself). I was going to recommend that the mods make the rules a bit more clear, but now that I've read that line, it's clear as day! Additional Comments: No no, it's got nothing to do with you. :) Honestly, it looks like it's just a misinterpretation of what qualifies a person for the award. The guys likely really appreciate your private contributions but the issue at hand is that award is meant for public participation. But in the end, who knows. Maybe it's a clear indicator that the members want private contributions included in this. So in a way, this is a good thing - it's either an evolution or it will require clarification for the next one.

I respectfully hear and understand all sides to this debate and believe me when I say I truly didn't want to start a shit storm. I love being a part of the community here and I did not want to alienate myself as someone who sounds like she's got sour grapes towards Emily. Not at all. I know I won't win, I don't deserve to. My contributions haven't come close to others who have been nominated, but the fact I was nominated tickled me pink all over anyway! And I sincerely wish Emily the very best and applaud her for her time and effort towards those who have communicated with her. I just wanted to clear the air and I mean no disrespect whatsoever to Cato for nominating Emily, and certainly not to poor Emily for being thrown into the middle of this. I really do apologize to you Emily. I realize you did not ask for all this controversy to be surrounding your nomination. But as someone already said, any publicity is good publicity! Perhaps this has all gotten too serious. Anyway, I still stand by my own opinion, but I have a much better understanding of the opposing side and have to agree on many points. In the end, may the best and most valuable SP cerb member win! That's it from me. :)

I don't think any of the posts where made to "bully" anyone. The way I perceive it is that Soliel is simply posting her opinion. I know her well and she is as far from someone that would bully albeit thru a post as anyone could be. I'm proud of her for posting what I think many girls where thinking. Does that mean feeling this way is right or wrong I don't know. But if people cannot politely post their opinions then the point of Cerb is lost. Cato and Wit have gotten me thinking....I'm nominated and I think it's more from my helping girls behind the scenes or in the lounge rather then a high post count. We are all nominated for various reasons and from what Cato has said clearly she has touched members behind the scenes since joining, perhaps like I have with ( or think I have lol) I'm thankful to Cato for speaking up as we would not have known this otherwise. Good luck to everyone!

We are not bullies and I find that comment offensive. We are women who are not afraid of speaking up our minds and who care enough about this community to not want the essence that has today to change. We want cerb to remain the characteristics that make it the succesful site it is and we want the people who will 'represent' it (valued members) to have those characteristics which is why Nicki invited Emily to show that side of her. We have nothing against Emily we just don't want the site to go in a different direction where a good marketing, good looks and good service is all that matters. I know I'm speaking 'we' here because that's what I sense from the other ladies too but girls feel free to correct me and I will make it an 'I' :)

there are plenty of studies demonstrating the tremendously positive impact of decriminalization in new zealand,australia,etc...google it and also check out the words of the workers themselves...decrim is the only solution. http://www.scarletalliance.org.au/ http://www.nzpc.org.nz/index.php?page_name=Home the studies refered to done by perrin and farley are absolutely bogus and do not meet the criteria set out by the federal government governing research involving human beings- known as the tri-council policy statement- this is why farely's "research" was thrown out in the ontario charter case. in my opinion the perrin and farely data is promotion of hatred and can not be held up as a reason for any actions taken by the canadian government. consider if you took a religion let's say just for fun christians in general. imagine if a member of parliament said they were un apologetically chasing the complete abolition of christianity... or the hebrew religion....is this seeming familiar to anyone else....? perrin and farely are constantly and consistently held up as the leaders in "research" but its crap. they only care about their own goals- making money and the abolition of prostitution- no matter who they hurt. i have contacted the federal ombudsman for the victims of crime and demanded that their office intervene and ensure the inclusion of actually working sex working peopled uring development of any plans or strategies that may comprimise the safety of sex working people. their mandate forces them to have to meet with us and take our concerns forward. i will keep people updated. also, the ongoing missing women's inquiry in vancouver- while it may seem un related- should be able to give us all a powerful tool to combat these kinds of morality based actions. they are inverstigating the actions of police- broadly- during the timeline of the case of the missing women and also now. i have told them the details of what we learned about the effects of on going brothel/health enhancement center raids, show lounge closures,etc... the bc coalition- www.bccec.wordpress.com- of which i am a member have done a number of projects related to gaps in services provided by the criminal justice system including victim's services...yes, a conflict of interest to be sure to have the police in charge of victims services. i am hoping that the report could be used to combat future efforts to "irradicate" our community..... as always, please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. love susieXXXO

It is sad to see this thread and voting going this way but we are all human with our own opinions and views. This award is suppose to be something positive and go to someone who deserves it and there are so many that do. This is not high school or a popularity contest. It's an award given to a Service Provider who does exactly what the statement below says. Best of luck to all that have been nominated!! Just my thoughts and views on this situation. This is not an award for best service (that is what the recommendations sections are for) this is a award to recognize the service providers who join in the conversations, help answer some questions and give you a little view into the other side of the business! Additional comments: My post was about how negative this thread has become and not about any single person, that just not my style and then to be singled out for what the award is about when I was not the only one to post it and my whole wording on it being sad to see how this thread and voting is going and my positive words were left out. That is fine because I'm a very positive and kind person and was not saying anything mean or wrong. It was an attempt to say stop the negativity and just get on with it. I still stand by my words that "This is not high school or a popularity contest", it's suppose to be a positive thing and award. So best of luck to all!! Positive and Big Hugs All Around, Lexy

I thank Soleil and WIT for their posts. This is a very difficult situation to comment on as emotions can easily run high. I will also attempt to make a comment without offense intended to anyone involved. One of the great features of CERB is that we, as a community, have embraced a culture of positivity. No reviews are allowed, only recommendations. No ratings are permitted, only positive experiences. I say this because, on the whole, the CERB community is a place without judgement. Yet, this one time of year, we are essentially judging each other. It remains in the spirit of positivity, but the result is that we are judging who makes the best contribution to the culture. As WIT outlined, there are many ways to contribute to the community. In an effort to be democratic, the nominations and voting are open to all members of this board. Under those guidelines, there is nothing to stop any member from winning a poll, and it is difficult to say that it is not in the spirit of the rules, when the rules are being followed. If the community as a whole feels the rules need to change, then that is a separate discussion. Lastly, I want to say that I think some anger or frustration has been directed at Erotic Emily. I feel that is unfair. She did not nominate herself, nor did she repeatedly vote for herself, nor did she, to the best of my knowledge, court or encourage anyone to directly vote for her. If you are upset with the results, the "blame", so to speak, falls directly on the voters, not the person they voted for. I wrote this message with a positive mind and I hope it will be received as such. I intend no disrespect nor offense.

One thing I WILL NOT apologize for is my habit of thanking people for viewing my profile page. I thank women and men alike and have never posted a solicitation type message. IMHO if you don't like it you have the power to delete my sincerely nice message. On the reason for disabling this function, I commend the Mods for their vigilance in helping out the person who is being stalked. I am hoping this guy gets what's coming to him! A for the lady in question, stay strong!

I've learned... ... that there is no shame in being an SP. ... that I have a responsibility to myself to explore my sexuality. ... that I am not as shy as I once believed ;) ... there are amazing people in this industry- not the stereotype. ... this business is a lot more organized and respectful than I may have once assumed. ... it's a helluva lot of fun!

I'm having a difficult time associating a "one liner-spread the love-type message" with "come and see me soon". Sorry. Just for your information, page 3, post #26:

In the case of aggressive soliciting on the guest books, is there an option to report that? I do show appreciation for viewing my profile ie: caught you peeking....or thanks for checking my profile. But not to every individual that happens to check me out. I think it distasteful, and looks desperate to come right out and solicit on a guest book. They will seek you if interested, no need to put someone on the spot like that.

I would just like to write a short note to thank this community for being such a positive board. I admit, I do love a good debate when things heat up and have found the majority of members here to be right along the same path. I have learned so much since I have joined this community and it has enhanced my communication skills as a bonus. I'm a thinker, have always enjoyed learning from others and love a good match from time to time to gracefully agree to disagree. This positive influence here I find, draws this community together as we work together to find that fine balance in a forum where tone can be lost by written communication. Hence, I have acknowledged the overall influence here contains a good mix of members whom hold excellent people skills, communication techniques and with an awesome splash of assertiveness that does not get lost. Good people skills make us all feel much more comfortable working together to make Cerb a great place. We do not feel pressured when we work together and I'm happy that that we can all contribute ideas and express our thoughts in an overall positive environment. We all know one way of getting people to be comfortable is not to be too opinionated. Instead, we encourage members to voice their opinions and ideas. We show them respect by acknowledging these skills.Overall, whatever we do, we try to find a common ground where everyone can agree, most times. Anyway in conclusion to my long winded appreciation ramblings.... Thanks everyone and I do have marshmallows if you can get through to my last sentence. ; ) xo
