5 pointsThanks for your opinion, Berlin. As this thread has received 1071 hits as of now, I guess some members, at least, find it of interest, though. And it's not required reading for anybody :)

4 pointsWe are each entitled as independent companions to run our business how we see fit. Exceptional or not, when your cancelled on short notice, please explain where you will find another client to fill that time in your day. Chances are high that you will not. Not every lady is high volume, therefore there is most likely not someone waiting for a cancellation all the time. If a lady wants to be a revolving door, that is her choice, If she wants to be low volume that is her choice, but referring to securing time compensation with a fee for cancellation and calling it tasteless is purely uncalled for and ignorant. Not all of us book over the phone and some of us screen (which takes time) and to be available last minute or on short notice does not work for all of us, so yes a cancellation fee is fit for those of us who feel the need to implement one. Life happens as as I've stated previously, the fee is applied when necessary. If someone cancels last minute with no notice, you don't think that you are inclined to ask for compensation to your time? Unfortunately there are more and more time wasters out there these days, by having a policy like a cancellation fee shows that I value your time and mine and no if you cancel last minute my time will be unable to be rebooked. The time wasters and chronic cancellers are less likely to attempt to book you if they see your firm on your policy. This is a business like any other one and it deserves to be treated with the same respect. This fee may not agree with everyone, but like anything else if you do not like a lady's policy there are plenty of other ladies out there.

3 pointsVery well said RG, as a very respectful Gentleman. I don't like to see this thread go into "she could have done this, or avoided that." Please let's avoid what she could have done to avoid abuse? This has nothing to do with Isabella and everything to due with the client. He's the danger and do believe Isabella is courageous and strong by sharing her story. Not everyone calls out violence due to fear or retribution. I know as well Isabella is a very caring, kind individual and did not deserve this under any circumstance! No excuse! Additionally, Isabella has warned the other ladies. She's handled this situation with the class and dignity I admire and respect her for.
-
3 pointsGiven the fact that people haven't been doing much talking about anything around here lately I think it's more relevant than posting videos of cats from youtube and our favorite songs or the latest viral videos. A lot of the hobbyists who post here have the opportunity to play abroad while some don't, this board is or was all about sharing. So long as the recommendations follow the guidelines and rules I don't see any harm in broadening our horizons and our reading list a little.
-
3 pointsSorry you went through this Isabella. You don't (nor does any lady) deserve to be treated that way I too have been fortunate enough to spend time with you and enjoy your companionship. Your photos are 100% accurate and just a gleaning of your posts gives an insight of the type of lady you are No excuse for a man to put his hands on you (or any lady) in a physically threatening way, nor to turn around and leave without at least offering some compensation...you set up a certain time to see him, time you could have used to see a gentleman instead. It seems lost on some (not all) guys, but as pleasurable and enjoyable an escape it is for us, it is the ladies' livelihood, it pays their bills, rent, car payments etc etc etc No excuse for his actions. I'm just glad you are ok Take care RG

2 pointsI enjoyed reading this post. Damn what a fine looking woman. I'm going to step my game up ;)

2 pointsContent is king! As the owner and operator of my own website that sees moderately high volume, not nearly as much as CERB but 5-7000 visits a week I have a responsibility to my advertisers and that responsibility is to ensure that their is exposure to their advertising. I do so by making sure the content is fresh and by marketing and promoting the site on other relevant sites where the content would appeal to those site visitors. Cerb has the same responsibility to it's advertisers and is in the unique position to have the membership contribute for free, the content that draws the traffic to this site, in the internet world traffic equals $$$. The thread in question in this case has had over 1,000 views and I'm guessing no complaints till now so 1000 impressions that the advertisers who pay for the sideboard and banner ads received, penny for penny it seems they got their money's worth. If a pooner in europe is searching for reviews on a european provider and comes across a review posted here, who's to say that when or if that pooner comes to Canada that they don't look up one of the ladies who happens to advertise here on CERB. Yes the primary audience is canadian hobbyists and the Canadian providers, however there is no harm in bringing foreign interest to the board.
-
2 pointsI disagree. Though you may consider this a 'Review Board for Canadian Escorts', I consider this a 'Candian Board for Escort Reviews'. As a Canadian hobbyist who does much international travel, I find this has value to me. As it's not always financially practicle to bring our favorite SP with us, it's nice to have a recommendation from a fellow hobbyist that will help satisfy my travel needs.

2 pointsI wish I had a tenth of his courage. And a tenth of his talent. Sad.

2 pointsHere's an excellent thread Annessa started a while back. It's called 'Things that make us ladies LOVE our jobs!' http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=12396

1 pointin a sea of what seems to be "dos and Do-not" threads that have lead to somewhat negative perceptions of some of us ladies on here, I would like to start a more positive thread directed towards the ladies about dates they've had recently that at the end of the day make us sigh a lovely sigh and make us say "gosh darn-it....i REALLY LOVE my job!" (this is not to say we dont love our jobs to begin with. I totally do! but what special things sometimes make you REALLY REALLY love it at the end of the day? One of my new favorites definitely loves to take his time, books at least two hours and is a wonderful dancer. He happens to share my love for Jazz and we spend almost the first hour talking, sipping wine and dancing. He literally sweeps me off my feet (and if I'm lucky, I get dipped too! lol)! Sometimes I have to admit that I've caught myself watching him leave through the peep-hole...that is where I sigh to myself and definitely the inner monologue plays saying "sigh...i love my job" ;-) Another client I have always books a very nice hotel suite for us and is insistent on asking what i feel like eating as a snack or drinking for a beverage...even if I say I'm not fussy. Just the idea that someone is being so considerate is very thoughtful and goes a long way...when I hang up the phone or fire of my reply email at home setting up our date with the possibility of shrimp and lobster I say to myself "sigh...I love my job" Ladies in the industry: what little extra things or recent fun perks on the day-to-day basis of your work-life make you pause and think to yourself the same? it could be luxurious or even something simple and kind, sexual or non-sexual

1 pointI'm just wondering what the other ladies and gents thoughts are of implemented "no show" cancellation fee for the next apt. if the client does not rebook as soon as he's able? I've had a few no show's and am always willing to book again promptly after a cancellation if a rain check is made and the client had a valid reason. I'm very reasonable and understand life comes up. The reason I ask this, is I had one no show in particular that had a valid reason and let me know after I messaged him asking what happened. He had an good explanation. I offered this person a rain check and have yet to hear back. There was plenty of opportunity to rebook. As a result, if he possibly contacts me again months down the line it would be nice to have him make up the time I put in getting ready for the apt. I think there's still an absence of consideration when it comes to the matter of how much time we prepare to see our clients. It's not just the apt. time. Thoughts please? This in no way implies a fee if I have to cancel. In fact, when I have had to for a valid reason, I take a percentage off my rain check offer after I apologize profusely. I know it's implemented with a few travelling ladies as last minute cancellations and no shows are a very different thing in their situation. Thanks. E

1 pointOut of curiosity, I would be interested to know which criterias gentlemen use to base their rating for the incall location. Is it based on the how far you have to drive from your house or work place to get there? Perhaps the neighbourhood? Parking on site, close by or maybe free parking? Or just general convenience for you? Is it based on the 'quality' of her accomodations (a studio or a suite versus a room - jacuzzi in the suite, etc.)? Cleanliness and tidiness? I'm assuming it's a combination of both the area and her actual incall but I would still like to hear from you. Thank you in advance for your feedback! :)
-
1 pointAgreed ... its not exactly competing and its not like there are a ton of these threads. BTW, arent all the reco threads "wank" threads?

1 pointI just try to avoid particularly sad/negative things (certain types of music, movies, people, etc.) and it passes in a couple of days. I also don't have a specific trigger, it's seemingly random. I am normally tired and have little energy but when I get into a "funk" my normal optimism and joy just isn't there. Good luck figuring something out :)

1 pointI think as long as the focus is in the right place at the right time it could be a mood enhancer. You can't have either participant in the encounter watching the porn while the other is trying to do something that requires their partner's attention. So either you're both watching it together or you're both focusing on each other. I realize that some women may find this offensive and I respect that, I'm guessing it's for the reasons I outlined above, I've personally had this happen to me (with just normal TV, not porn) and let me tell you it really kills an encounter when one partner is more focused on the TV that who they're with. On the other hand I imagine that it would add a sense or erotic excitement to the encounter, so probably best reserved for more PSE type encounters. So I guess my final vote would be Yay, but provisionally so, assuming that both partners know how to work with it and it's used for the right style of encounter.
-
1 pointIsabella, this reminded me of my very first encounter with an escort ten years ago. I also had very limited experience with women in the romantic sense. (I won't bore you with the sexy details.) My first instinct was to run for the hills. But I took a deep breath and went through with the date. The whole time I imagined that any minute the police were going to kick in the door. I also envisioned her boyfriend barging in any minute. Fortunately nothing bad happened. Although, my anxiety prevented me from enjoying my time with the lady. (No happy ending) Perhaps this is what was going through your client's mind? This does not excuse his behavior in any way. Aggressive behavior is never tolerated . IMO, if a client decides to cancel the date after arriving. He should anticipate a cancellation fee of some kind. The next time he books with that SP he should be required to pay in advance. Either by credit card, or e-mail transfer.

1 pointI tend not to include the section on rating incall location when I do a recco. That is in part due to the fact that it looks as if only the first person to make a recco may have that option (not sure that is correct), but more so because that is a REALLY subjective determination. As any recco is of course subjective and based on an individuals personal criteria, I do find the location/atmosphere numerical based system a mystery. Is a really nice room at a Delta or Four Points Sheraton a 10? If that is a 10 then what is a suite in a luxury condo? Where do they fit with a really nice, immaculate and well maintained personal incall location? I find it very difficult to rate or compare assuming that someone else might make a decision based on my "number." That being said, Gabriella you have had the most amazing and comfortable and classy locations when we have met. :)

1 pointThank you everyone for their responses. I just have two things to clarify. I wrote I was standing 'by' the door not 'i front' of the door. I know by has different meanings and yes it was still not wise of me to stand close to the door but NOTHING unless is self defense excuses someone being violent to another person. And it would be interesting to see how others would have reacted to being humiliated like that and deceived like that. I know I acted out of impulse which is why I did not ask (or at least I don't think I did) did I react wisely? I know I didn't. My question was 'What do you think is the right thing to do in a situation like this?' meaning temper/reactions aside if a man finds the lady he arranged to meet is not what he expected. What is the right way to handle with the situation? Also, without going into details I know for a fact this man has met other ladies from this site and that his nervousness was about not knowing how to handle the situation, so no guilt was involved and as my first post states his behaviour was due to him thinking I looked different. And as an update I have ben contacted by him offering to make it up to me, no idea what he meant by that as I do not want any interaction with this person ever but want to point out me asking for the donation, even when I spent time getting ready, etc. was not about the money was about the principle and me wanting respect to me and my time and since he did not do this, nothing offered by him would make it up to me. I also want to make very clear I never comfronted him, my tone as I asked for my donation and my body language right until he left were never agressive and there was no physical contact from me to him. One more time, I asked about how would be the right/fair thing to do in a situation like this not what I did wrong because as much as I explained it, each of you will imagine different than it really happened which means the only ones that can really know what I did wrong would be the man involved and myself and that if we remembered every sigle detail on that particular moment which I doubt is the case. The main reason that made me to post this is to know what would be fair to do in order to try to avoid someone else going through what I went through not to be reminded what I did wrong so please don't get offended but that was not the intention of this thread.
-
1 pointIt really is a very interesting idea, if it could be somehow centrally and impartially managed, and with the possibility for the client to somehow appeal. For safety reasons, it would be a good idea as well. I just have images of the national no fly list in my head; you can be on it by mistake, not know why, and have no way of getting your name off it. 1 pointGuys -- With respect, go back and read Isabella's message ... she's not looking for you to tell her how bad this guy's behavior was ... read her last sentence. In fact, she specifically asks that we not do that. Instead, she's looking for advice on how to manage these types of situations. In that regard, SaraMQ is right on point IMO.

1 pointAt the end of the day folks, this business whether we care to believe it or not, is unlike most. It involves a personal experience, and a vulnerability that is unique to anything in the business world. Both for the SP and for the Client. Clients cancel for a variety of reasons, most of the time it really won't seem legit. Sometimes it is. Fact of the matter is as much as we want to take the same approach as a Doctor or Lawyer would with a cancellation fee, in my experience I don't believe it will work. What I think would work is to have a better communication amongst Service providers, and Agencies and even MPs and setup a very clear network. When some guy doesn't show, he doesnt deserve a second chance if he doesnt call to cancel. If he changes his mind last min he doesnt get a second chance. And then post it on this list, date it, with proper info including phone numbers, emails, names ect.. guess what? If he calls 5 ladies and they tell him where to go, and what to do when he gets there, he will get the message loud and clear. Make this a standard proceedure across the board and it will put the ppl that don't care about your time, in their place. I know this may sound harsh, but in reality it is a small number of ppl that do this. The vast majority of ppl are very respectful and there is never an issue. This suggestion will serve our good clients as well, as it will free up time that would have been available to them had the inconsiderate A-holes essentially *cock block* them by likely booking 3-4 appts and choosing to honor only one of them.

1 pointI like to consider myself a fairly tolerant, progressive guy, but I'm about to go a litte dak ages here. There is no excuse for in the world for what this pitiful little creature did. Anyone presuming to lay their hands on you, or any lady, other than in loving tenderness, needs their fingers broken one by one. Like I said, I'm a pretty forgiving guy but I have a line that should never be crossed with no forgiveness on the other side and this useless little animal crossed it. Not only did he taint you with his filthy hands, he stole your precious time. As RG said, you could have seen someone far better than this "person" and you'll never be able to get that time back. He was in the wrong in every possible way. As someone who has had the enormous privilege of meeting you, Isabella, and the greater privilege of getting to know you, please allow me to inform this particular loser of what he walked away from. Isabella is not only a beautiful woman, but she has a genuine heart that's bigger than the sky. If you are very, very lucky, not only will she welcome you into her arms and her warm embrace, but she will welcome you to become a friend, something this "person" will never deserve. You did nothing wrong here Isabella. This cretin is a coward and a thief, and he deserves no forgiveness nor excuse. I apologize if I seem a little out of line, but I can forgive and empathize a lot; something like this isn't it. Any man who lays his hands on a woman, here on CERB or anywhere else, without the intent to care for or heal her (short of defending his own life) is an irrelevant waste. Having grown up on farms I can say with complete confidence that he is less than an animal. And one last description of Isabella's very fine character-she is the kind of person that the Spirit of Christmas is all about-warm, generous and kind. his "person" typifies a decaying spirit that can only cause pain to those around it.

1 pointAmelia embodies the fantasy of the sexy secretary who, once the clothes and thick rimmed glasses fall away, becomes the wild vixen. After a quick shower, the session began with a warm, lingering, exploring embrace, her very soft and smooth flesh pressed to mine, before heading to the table for short, firm and effective, yet still truly seductive massage portion. Then came the long, almost excruciatingly long, but oh so tantalizing tease. She has an uncanny knack for exploring every inch of your being, with her hands and body, and dissecting exactly what drives you, what makes your blood flow, and you mind race. She can then zero in and actually become that which you seek. Then over you go and the sensation continues, with soft smooth flesh pressed, warm breaths mixing, and the sensual exploration continuing to the inevitable and most satisfying conclusion. Then, to top it all off, another slow, sensual, relaxing massage and shower together, and you leave totally dazed, but thoroughly refreshed. Would I repeat? Most definitely.

1 pointGoing to the hair salon for an over due hair cut...and only once it`s done, you realize too much has been cut off!! But it's only hair, luckily my hair grows rather fast :)

1 pointNow, y'see - this is why I like to engage in reasonable discussions (despite my own challenging tone). Thank you Erin. A few others have responded to my post, and in fairness - I acknowledge their POV. I may not agree with them, but I hear them. However, in this particular thread, you alone strike me as a person who can count to 10 before launching a return volley. You have, no doubt, encountered situations that need some diplomatic handling. In response, I believe in fair compensation. I also believe in business intuition, experience and smarts to enter into a business transaction. If someone is deliberately wasting your time, it is up to you, the service provider, to determine your tolerance level for crap and appropriate remedies. I would like to think that time-wasters are more the exception than the normal. On my side of the business, if someone is insincere and just wants to just explore services and shop for prices - I can pretty quickly qualify the time wasters & get them to go away. Thanks again Erin.

1 pointI'm glad you had fun, and she is indeed beautiful, but I have to be a party pooper. This is a CANADIAN recommendation board. International reviews are hardly appropriate.

1 pointDecember 17th is International Day to End Violence Against Sex Workers. This event was created to call attention to hate crimes committed against sex workers all over the globe. International Day to End Violence Against Sex Workers has empowered workers from cities around the world to come together and organize against discrimination and remember victims of violence. Existing laws prevent sex workers from reporting violence. The stigma and discrimination that is perpetuated by the prohibitionist laws has made violence against us acceptable. Please join with sex workers around the world and stand against criminalization and violence committed against sex workers. We will be hosting a gathering open to all those who support our anti-violence campaign. There will be a few presentations and then dancing after. December 17th 2011 8pm-midnite Prophouse Cafe 1636 Venables Vancouver BC Suggested donation $5. Nobody turned away at the door.

1 pointN.B. Bringing these is probably not an acceptable substitute for the above...

1 pointA huge loss to the world. I can't think of anyone else who was prepared to say exactly what he thought about anything, regardless of the approval (or not, frequently) of the rest of the universe. As I've seen elsewhere in a tribute to him - he didn't tell anyone what to think, but he taught you how to think. And one of my favorite quotes from him, on Jerry Falwell: "If you gave him an enema, you could bury the rest in a matchbox". Okay, that's enough obituary-ness. I'm going to have a(nother) drink. I think he'd approve.

1 pointWIT posted an excellent quote in the "Favourite Quotes" thread that pertains to this situation and does a good job paraphrasing what several have already stated.

1 point^^ and adding to this above: - BE HUMBLE. Arrogance, sense of entitlement, and attitude are really unattractive no matter how beautifully you may be packaged. You may be paying, but the sp has chosen to see you and you are her guest. Act like a human.

1 pointCELL PHONES. Do you really need to have that argument with your bill collector on your cell right next to me? Don't have phone conversations on the bus. This drives me crazier than crazy. Being a regular user of public transit, I can't get on a bus without headphones pumping music, except I have earbuds with noise reduction and no one but me can hear all that Rihanna. Hahaha.
-
1 pointYou really want me to pick just ten? Ok, favourite movies of all time. Off the top of my head: 1. The Big Lebowski 2. Cry-Baby 3. The Royal Tenenbaums 4. Oldboy 5. Planet Terror 6. Bio-Dome 7. Army of Darkness 8. Secretary 9. Predator 10. Aliens Honourable mentions: Harold and Maude, Shaun of the Dead, Fallen Angels (I am a huge Wong Kar Wai fan), Ghostbusters, Sin City, V for Vendetta, Children of Men. TOO MANY.

1 pointIn theory 15 minute appts sound good but I won't do them because the way I see it is once a guy is there, many clients ( not all) might try and take advantage of the time and make an excuse that they haven't "finished up" yet. Or they just want oral on the phone but once they get there, it turns into something else. How are you going to get them to leave on time? Oh wait, they need to use the shower, another 5 minutes to get dressed. Suiddenly it's 20-25 minutes. I'm not a stickler for time on half hour or hour appts but 15 mins? Come on! It's just an excuse to get more time without paying more. I would definitely feel rushed, cheated both professionally and financially. Ain't gonna happen on my dime! I have people who see me for a half hour and only decide to stay for 20 minutes because they are in a rush. I provide a good service and if someone doesn't want to take the time to appreciate it, they can go elsewhere.
-
1 pointHmm where do I start,as a kinder member said we should all be appreciated, as even cell phone photos take time and effort, creativity, and does not say anything about the degree we are willing to go to for our clients.I do feel that a professional album, done by a photographer is lovely and sets a better presentation but shouldn't the award then go to the photographer not the model,as it is there ceativity and talent that makes the model look like a "model". Good lighting, sexy lingerie, and the right angles can make most look like sex goddesses.Personally I spent time and effort to take my own shots, and think some of them are pretty good for someone with little time,an Iphone camera and not great lighting,my point was to let people know what I look like not what I could look like if shot professionaly.I just think it is a little unfair to vote for "best" when some one is always going to be overlooked and hurt as eveyone has different tastes and opinions and I feel that anyone that posts pics and a bio of any kind has put some thought and effort into it,anyway is there ever the "best" in anything?
-
1 pointAnd I had a client inform me today that, 'You can't do this forever Soleil.' If I keep fit and healthy why the hell can't I do this 'forever'? I have no pension or retirement fund people! lol
-
1 pointQuote from a new client (today): "I'm 55, and I have no interest in seeing someone who is 25. Which is why I called you." A lot of ads show 25 and under, even when the actual age is mid 30s. I think they would be surprised at the number of calls that would come in if a more mature age was used in ads. For one thing, there is a good demand for over 35s, and a very low supply. Fudging an age to appear younger, leaves the sp competing with actual 30 year olds, but putting 40 in the ad and the calls are steady.
