I've debated starting this thread for months. Firstly when I left cerb last September, and more recently when I rejoined. I've heard some very, very outlandish rumours about why I left cerb, and retired from escorting last September. Which is why I chose to put this thread in the 'escort discussion' area. I've heard these rumours from people who heard them from people I've never met. And people who definitely should not be sharing my personal information. Especially personal information that isn't even true. So, I've finally decided to make it public. Here's the big reason I retired from escorting last year: I lost a friend. And two months later I lost another. And a few months after that, I lost another. Escorting is a business that requires a very, very large part of your emotions to be there. Massage does as well, but not to the same level. And I haven't been able to provide the connection escorting has required for quite a few months now. I did not retire because I was robbed. I was NOT robbed by a client or anyone to do with the business. I did get robbed, and shared that information with some SPs in private, and it is very sad that this information was not kept in private because it had nothing to do with work. I did not retire because my business was lacking, or because I couldn't afford a work apartment. I left because I wanted, when I went home at the end of the day, to be able to focus on my friends, and my life. Nothing scandalous. And it makes me very sad that I've continued to hear gossip and rumours about me and my life in the months since I made the change. We all share parts of ourselves with each other on a daily basis, both on this site, and in the work that we do. But here's a note to people to think that they have the right to pry, and butt in to the personal business of people who just want to be left alone: it hurts, it creates lies, and you're not helping anyone. I've grown tired of people telling me why they heard I've left, and I'm saddened that people think my life is something to be gossiped about. We all can get very personal in our discussions on this site, and in our sessions: but here's a tip that should be taken to heart by everyone: if it was told to you in private, that makes it private. Don't spread rumours about people, and don't break confidences. You're better than that. Everyone is. I am not posting this for anyone to offer condolences on the loss of my friends. I'm not posting this for people to offer sympathy or anger in any way, or to post stories about rumours they've heard. I simply decided that, after so many months of STILL being asked why I left, and still hearing rumours about my reasons, that I would share this. That's all. Thanks.

i really feel for you Cleo....too many times when i started in the biz I had many rumours flying around around myself....it drove me crazy! i still hear them from time time but I've grown a much thicker skin since then....but it still sucks. Stay strong and remember that there is sometimes a reason to leave the people who are said to be coming to their own conclusions....but also an alterior motive sometimes for those who might be coming to their own conclusions by telling you this or leaking gossip (which might not have happened in the first place)...be it client or lady. Its up to us all to make the right decisions. As far as i know you took on a different type of work and all we can all say is: do whatever makes you happy!......but worry about the gossipers and you will go nuts! *big hugs*

I personally could see the potential for this thread to get ugly by perpetuating stereotypes so I am not touching it with a 10 foot pole.:icon_neutral:

This thread makes me ill! As a human being, and I use that term very loosely, you have a moral obligation to care and protect your children! My son is 20 now, and I would still lay down my life for him!!! His mother and I only dated, we were never married. Not only was there a legal obligation to care for him, how could I not care for my own child!!! I have enough guilt about leaving to go off to war so many times while he was growing up, but I would do anything for him. If you get anyone pregnant, you should be utterly ashamed of yourself if you abandon both the woman in question and your child!

Sometimes I think people ask questions like this as a joke, a way to get the folks here at cerb riled up. I guess it's a big world and it takes all kinds but the fact that someone thinks getting an escort pregnant is different than getting any other woman pregnant seems outrageous to me.

This is mainly for any newbies on CERB who have never heard of Cowboy Kenny's diary before. My advice is always the same, if it sounds to good to be true...it probably is! One movie that I saw recently that just blew me away was The Game starring Michael Douglas and directed by David Fincher (Seven, Fight Club). Now I had never seen any trailers or anything for it and was pretty much going in blind but I have to say was pleasantly surprised. It's definitely a thriller and has you guessing at more than one point. I don't want to ruin any of the plot for you but I will say it basically starts off with a rich man receiving an unusual gift from his brother and what follows is one heck of a roller coaster ride.

Thanks everyone :) It's definitely not the first time I've had to deal with rumours, and probably won't be the last. I just hit my breaking point on hearing about myself on this one so made the post to try and stop myself from having to hear about it again, haha. It's something we all should have learned in grade school: don't gossip. But sometimes, even adults need this reminder. I'll admit even I do it sometimes, and getting so angry hearing rumours about myself made me remember: HEY, you're doing the same thing. So I do my best not to, and that's all this post is asking of others as well :)

Absolutely. Unfortunately, as we see over and over again, there's a significant number of guys who simply don't give a shit about the ladies they're seeing. The kind of person who doesn't care about wasting someone's time by no-showing or cancelling at the last second is, alas, probably also not going to care too much about the prospect of giving her a cold and putting her out of work for a few days (never mind the fact that having a cold is just miserable anyway, even if it isn't costing you). Sad, but true.

I think a "gentleman" should reschedule if he believes there is any chance of being contagious (cold, flu or otherwise). Of course when you do first encounter such an infection you are contagious before symptoms become apparent (even to you) so the ladies are going to get more than their share of colds and flu exposure, so if you know you have it, clearly the decent thing to do is to reschedule. The few times I have encountered someone at the office who clearly should not be there, and then some 24 hours later develop symptoms of my own, well, lets just say they don't have my gratitude :) I'd be severely busted up to know that I had caused someone to have to take time off work.

This thread is closed, it has run it's natural course and the community of cerb has spoken and made it's voice clear on where it stands on this issue. The matter has been brought to council where they will decide on the final outcome of this situation. However I think it's clear what the majority of the people here think including myself. Meanwhile, it is strongly suggested that many who flagged and reported this thread look up the definitions of Slander, Defamation and finally, Plagiarism.

It's no secret that the original's author's site has been around for a few years now, whereas this new lady has only been around for a few months. If she thinks she will be victorious in her attempts to persuade us otherwise, then she is only fooling herself! Talk about denial!

Yes, we might end up saying some similar things to each other at times, and expressing similar sentiments here and there. But there's no possible excuse for having whole paragraphs copied -- word for word -- from another provider's site or ads. I put A LOT of work into my website, and even turned down some well-intentioned offers by a writer friend to help me with it. Everything in there comes from me and who I am. While I feel it is far from perfect, I am still very proud of my content. I can't imagine how angry it would make me to see my words copy-and-pasted somewhere else. I, like a poster above mentioned, would be more upset by my words being stolen than my pictures. Many of we ladies actually value our minds and personalities over our appearance. When you try to steal our personality for your advertising, you offend us very deeply. I am sure that some women simply make errors by not realising how important this is to other providers. But after being told once, that should set it straight. I've seen ads and sites written by girls who obviously don't have the best handle on writing. But they are STILL able to portray their own personalities well enough that I think they sound like wonderful, enticing companions. You do not have to be a brilliant writer to write your content. But you do have to be honest to show your personality. The bait and switch makes no sense to me. How do you expect to maintain regular clients when you are not at all what they were expecting when they booked you? I just don't get it.

IT's plain and simple if you did not make it yourself, write it yourself, or pay for it yourself.... IT'S THEFT no ifs and or buts about it. Would you want to do business of such a personal and intimate nature with someone who has no issue stealing someone else's words to describe themselves. It's just as bad as usin stolen photos and it's WRONG. What makes this matter even worse was that it's happened not only from one provider to another but that the offender is actualy a member of CERB, stealing is bad enough, stealing from one of your own sisters is inexcusable. The fact that the THIEF has been confronted with this issue previously yet continues to steal from the other shows just how low this provider can go and just how little she cares about anyone else. To use someone else's words to describe yourself is like wearing a mask, an ugly mask, shame on the THIEF. The SECRET is out and VICTORY will be had when the offender is exposed. I'm sure the MODS are on it and we don't want to taint CERB with more negativity than is already abound with such low life theft occurring. Just because it doesn't happen here on CERB doesn't mean it doesn't affect the male and female members in good standing of this community. Shame on the thief for stealing from your sister, Shame on the thief for being deceptive and lying to your clients and potential clients, shame on you for disrupting our good and kind community, Shame on you... There must be some kind of release form that protects you from child support claims. * The only reason I am replying at all to this is that is seems to be a common fantasy by some that an sp who may accidentally become pregnant. I don't know many sps who don't have a method of birth control, or, should there be a condom mishap, wouldn't automatically go in for a morning after pill to ensure there would be no pregnancy. If all of that fails, then why , if such a thing has ever happened, wouldn't she simply get an abortion? And if that didn't happen, how, 9 months later, is she supposed to be able to get ahold of all the clients who may be the father in for DNA testing, and have them cooperate? And after all that, supposedly is going to be able to collect child support from that one, apparently, unlucky guy.
