I just watched this Steve Kardynal "Call me Maybe" ChatRoulette video for the umpteenth time today... and every time I see it, it makes me smile. The faces, the glorious smiles that just erupt when they actually figure out what they are seeing... well they are contagious. So what makes you smile? What are the little things in life that make you beam? A few more... Those tiny little freckles that appear on the bridge of the nose and the top of the cheeks... they are adorable! SaraMQ - laughing. That woman just makes me smile... ;) The smell of the first steak on the barbecue every summer... Vitto calling me "Old Dong"... A picture of a friend posing by the 1960's Batmobile... The smell of Old Spice... it reminds me of my grandpa... so that's a start... what makes you smile???

What makes me smile... The simple knowledge that wonderful people exist, and a great many of them are here on CERB. No matter what time of the day you visit here, there is always some playful and kind discussion going on. From this silly to the spectacular, with sincere kindness and concern this is a true "community-based-organization" in the fullest sense of the term. That's what makes me smile. Well I'm happy to say I've has an overall warm welcoming from all of you here! Although one gentlemen, has told me their opinion that I took quite offensively.. He asked if I was single, and I said yes, and he said if I wasn't would I tell my partner what I was doing? Or anyone else that I choose to be with in my personal life? I told him I wouldn't but it all depends on the situation... He immediately replied that I was being unfair and disrespectful, and that other men had a right to know what I do for safety reasons. Now this really offended me, I think (most) SPs are one of the cleaniest women you can sleep with (we shower right before our appointments, scrub every inch of our body, and get tested more often at the clinic) Also most of our clients do not wish to see street or unclean/healthy girls. It would actually be safer to be with an SP since you can look at her reviews to see if she has any hygiene issues or gave any clients any diseases! So after having a Stupid rough night as mentioned http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=129847 I get a call form a blocked number I assume is my buddy. It wasn't so I quickly apologize and inform the person that I thought he was someone else I was JUST conversing with and I was in a grumpy mood but trying not to give details really cause its not buddy's issue. So he convinces me to go see him but he turns out to be at a hotel that they literly stop every woman going in there after a certain hour to ask to see their key card. For those who have met me, you know that the smile on my face is permanent but perhaps sometimes disarming. I can't help myself; I have a perma smile! My reaction to things that make most people REALLY smile is tears. Yup, tears of joy, of happiness, of general well being. The sounds of the birds outside my open window at the moment are eliciting a great joy which manifests itself in a few happy tears!

The thing about this business is that it isn't consistent, so if you rely on it's income solely you will have highs and lows, the only way not to is to be frugal, work often and save save save. We have to be people pleasers, entrepeneurs, receptionists, cleaning ladies, bankers, advertisers, ect, ect, it's alot and can become mentally and physically exhausting if you don't manage your time on and off well. I feel for you, good times come and go as do the bad, you'll pull through. You are lucky to have your youth, health, and your gorgeous dog. When you do deal with asses try to laugh instead of becoming frusterated or angry, make light of it and soon good will come-hugs and best wishs.

What makes me smile? Coming home after working hard all week. The dog with her crazy antics, telling me I was gone too long. The silly cats that tell me they haven't had ANY food all week, even though I can see that the food I bought them has in fact been opened and eaten. The silly goldfish that will float at the bottom of the tank pretending they can't swim because they haven't eaten in like 3 hours, that will shoot to the top of the tank when I come close to them. Watching my neighbours kids rolling each other around in the giant plastic rain barrel that is supposed to be under the deck, but they will sneak it out and run around like crazy lunitics laughing and giggling, they know they are not supposed to use it but I let them anyways. Being around friends and family having a good meal and a beer (well, more then one beer, cause after all, why stop at one?).

Did I tell you about the guy who called me and tried to whisper to me? I can't hear the best of times, but this guy kept insisting on whispering.....Well, I kept saying "speak up, can't hear you". Then he finally said in an exasperated voice "can you handle a 6" cock?". I thought wow, and before I could stop my outside voice, I replied "is that the best pickup line you can give me? I have to disagree, a small city/town has nothing to do with lack of privacy as long as you are discreet and make yourself blend in. I travel to lots of smaller places and have never had an issue with privacy ever.

My grade 8 teacher had the most wonderful smell of powder. That was my first memory of her, and she was a great teacher at a time of my life that things were not the greatest. I remember smelling that specific smell years later, and actually looked around to see where she was. It wasn't her, but the memory was so vivid, it instantly brought back a flood of memories of that time of my life. I hate most perfumes and colognes because I am allergic to most but this one was wonderful. Love the smell of good food cooking, puppy breath and fresh tar on the roof.

Anyone can make money in this industry as long as you understand what market you wish to serve. Yes, you might want to serve a specific market, however, is the business there? Do you need to make a living at this? Do you just want extra money? You have to decide what you are willing to provide to make this money. RMT's make money everyday. Is this the market you want to service? Do you want extra money? What are you willing to do to make extra money? These are the questions you have to ask... Good luck!

Simple things that inspire a smile? Ordering a milkshake and getting both the glass and the container with the leftover amount. When my cat curls up for a nap and puts a paw over his eyes to block out the light. Being surprised by a movie/book that I wasn't expecting much from. Unexpected cake! Definitely there is a difference between working indy and working agency. Its too bad the choice there sucks. I hate having other drivers, that's why I insist on using my own vehicle. Hey everyone! I am completely new (just signed up today) I feel a little overwhelmed with all the information for new members that is around. I'm sure the more I visit the more I will learn and feel comfortable with. Just wanted to say hi and hopefully everyone gets to enjoy their long weekend!

I am curious as to why you would publically disclose the name/handle of a gentleman she might have met; what if "Gaaco" met the lady in question and he didn't want it to be known for his own personal reasons? I don't know that if the tables were turned, you would appreciate the gesture. I am also confused as to why she told you his name/handle in the first place... Most professionals worship discretion, confidentiality and privacy. I apologise if this offends anyone but there is NO need to share that kind of information with others- unless he was a bad date.

Ahhh, the ?tipping? debate! I noticed there was a decided void in SP response so I will take a minute to share my thoughts? From an agency girl perspective, tipping is often a way to generate extra income because after they pay the agency and the driver, they usually end up on the short end of the stick. 10 years ago, I ran for an agency, we collected $260 for an hour, with $110 going to the house, $40-$100 to the driver depending on where the visit was located, which left me maximum of $110 with as little as $10 in my pocket. With a $15 book on fee and mandatory car cell phone fees of $25 per night, I needed 3 full fees per night to make working worthwhile, God forbid I get credit card calls, which somehow always worked out us getting nothing. We were not allowed to refuse a call so we had to find creative ways to ensure we were paid. Tipping for extra service was the only way to keep our heads above water. The nice thing was that we had a shift, we worked, and we went home and had a life. That said, it was unfair to the guest who would end up with less than what he expected because he was not prepared for the extra fees. Independents are in a slightly different boat. We usually have a higher upfront fee, but we also assume ALL the costs incurred, which is far more than many realize. If we charged what we feel we should to get our ROI, the protests would be heard long and loud. Many Indies have a smaller bottom line than an ambitious girl at a well run agency. So when it comes to tips, many things need to be considered. In the south, SP's are tipped much in the same manner as a restaurant. Anyone walking a restaurant wouldn?t consider walking out without leaving a tip if everything was satisfactory. I tip everyone in the service industry, from the girl who washes my hair, to the man at Suny?s who pumps my gas because a little bit from many adds up at the end of the day. Flowers and trinkets are lovely in thought, but a girl can?t deposit wilted stems into an RRSP, and my bank doesn?t seem to take dildos, massage oil, garter belts or silk stockings on deposit -go figure! As Joyful C has so wisely stated, most SP?s live a fragile existence financially. We provide an illusion of playful luxury for our guests benefit, but rest assured, 90% of the time it is smoke and mirrors. Behind the scenes we struggle to pay our bills, put diapers on our babies and try to take care of those we love, all the while working on a way to get to a normal existence if that does in fact even exist. An extra $20 from each client equals a full appointment by the end of the week, and at the end of the month that pays the cell phone, buys the groceries and lets us take the little ones away for the weekend after we have paid both rents (home and incall), all our advertising, babysitters, hydro, car repairs, personal maintenance and the same expenses everyone else has. Not to mention the monthly payments on augmentation, lifts, tucks and anything else to keep us up to the exceptionally high standards expected if we want to continue making money in this arena. There are few SP?s who can keep up the daily client service to ensure long term financial viability in this business because of the emotional and physical toll this business extracts which sometimes means extended time offs to get our heads, hearts and bodies back in order. We have no paid holidays, benefits or paid personal days. If there is a crisis that forces us to take time off, we lose money and clients which often means we work regardless of illness, pain or any other of lifes challenges. Each SP has her own reasons for working, but the universal element is that we all are trying to achieve some sort of financial stability. I never expect tips, and I can count on one hand how many I have received since my arrival in Canada because of the nature of the business here. Hate to tell you guys, but Canadian men are not known for their generous nature, they rank a close second to Germans in this realm (I think the outlandishly high taxes inflicted in both countries has something to do with it!). I would never expect a tip from guests that have me on retainer, I see them weekly. But unless you are going to be a bankable commodity in a SP?s life, a tip relative to the quality of service is a sure way to say thank you and have her know you mean it... Catherine
