I have to say, I'm always somewhat dubious about the merits of negotiation with someone who's providing a service. If I can get something off a shelf for a bit less, that's great, but services aren't like that. Really, think about it for a moment. If you haggle with someone and pay less for their services, do you honestly imagine that you're getting the same service as you'd have got if you'd paid their asking price? That they won't cut corners, or use cheaper materials, or pay less attention to detail, or spend a little less time making sure they give you the best possible service, or go the extra mile before they just think, "Stuff it, that's good enough for this guy"? This applies to all service industries, not just the one we're concerned with on this board. But given the very personal nature of the services we're engaged in here... I think it applies more here than to some others.

Ok, this just happened to me two days ago, I contacted the router folks directly. It's a fine line, and one that sometimes get blurred. We know that many of the ladies have over a long period of time, made it clear that their rates are non-negotiable, and I certainly have no problem with that. However, is it surprising or shocking that people try to negotiate regards? It shouldn't be. I can think of some good examples that might cause confusion. One being is that a lady offers a special today, and tomorrow, when it is not offered, it is asked for. "I couldn't make it yesterday, but are you still offering the same deal today?". Anyway, I respect the ladies' decisions to say their rates are non-negotiable, but at the same time, I understand why they are getting asked to consider otherwise. If you aren't prepared to negotiate, it should be easy to respond to those question, just tell them your rates are your rates. If that doesn't stop them, now to me that is when they have clearly crossed the line and should have moved on.

As others have already mentioned, there is no harm in contacting an MA you like and asking :) I have met several people who prefer a more relaxed and sensual session with lots of caressing and emotional connection. Some tips I would have are: 1. Opt for a longer session. Though an MA can be sincere regardless of time constraints, it is difficult to make the experience feel genuine in just 30 minutes, especially for the first encounter. 2. I know people that will negotiate all services. What I find amusing is they feel that they got a "deal" to begin with and then complain when they didn't get all that they wanted or needed. Negotiating multi-hour rates like a court case or a custom built house is one thing, taking 5-10% off $100 000 still leaves a viable cash flow and small excess can be trimmed where needed to accommodate the discount. Asking me to take a 40% pay cut on my fee that has not increased in 9 years for a luxury service is simply arrogant and insulting. I find that oftentimes when I sit down to start a post on CERB its often an emotional post. So here it is... Sometimes like the rest of the amazing SP's here, my positivity slips. I am nothing short of human, and sometimes the scales of balance of me and Jade are no where near equal. Sometimes my alter ego is the stronger of the two, able to give and receive pleasure and drown in that, and it feels so good, other times, my life slips in and every emotion flashes on Jade's face. Be it worry or sadness. Other times we are balanced perfectly. And happiness shines on both of our faces. I often wonder if people realize the life of an SP requires 2 lives to balance in one mind and one body. The joys, the triumphs, the worries, the laughter , the ups, the downs, To please. All of the things we experience in our personal lives, often we experience at the same time different ups and downs that affect our alter egos. I can only speak for myself when I say that no matter how hard you try, our lives within ourselves cross paths. Good and bad. Both have benefits to the other as well, I am naturally sensual, I LOVE skin, the feel of it, the smell, the texture, Long slow kisses and seduction, that benefits Jade, as does my easygoing nature and ability to talk to people and make them feel comfortable. I admit I think I live in a bit of a cloud when it comes to this. I get tested every two months, and assume everyone knows that, and I also assume my clients get tested (although not as regularly). I completely assume that because of my reputation on here, clients will know I am a responsible, smart, healthy provider, and therefore, of course I get tested, and only engage in covered intercourse. If someone tells me they want to book, but first want to know if I'm 'clean', or 'do you get tested', I can sometimes take offence to that. I once said to someone 'I wouldn't advertise on here if I was selling dirty sex, and I would never ask a client when he'd last been tested', or something like that. I admit that was an over-reaction, but... well, it WAS my reaction. I do think it's something people should be able to talk about on here, but my advice is be careful if approaching a provider before an encounter. I know I'm not the only one who can have, and has had, the above reaction to that question. We work hard to show you who we are, and we work hard to provide our clients with safe and professional service. Sexual health is of the utmost importance - so we can get offended if you question that. We are human. Now, I know some gentlemen may think 'What's the big deal, we should be able to ask that'. But the only answer I can give is... well that was my honest reaction to that question. Overreaction? Maybe. But honest reaction? Yes.

I think another question that begs to be asked is what if you do catch something? As a SP do you tell your previous clients so they can get checked and as a hobbyist do you tell the SP's you've been with? I think it is great that people get checked (as I do) but the harder part is if someone catches something as I would imagine being an SP and revealing that to a previous client could perhaps destroy their chances of continuing to be a SP? It is a touchy subject, but yet, I think the proper thing to do would to let people know if you contracted something.

It's extremely unlikely that the federal government will attempt to make prostitution illegal if the SCC rules in favour of decriminalization. Prostitution is not a big issue in Canada and never has been. In poll after poll, most Canadians surveyed do not express any interest in making it illegal for someone to be a prostitute. As a fair-minded country, Canadians aren't interested in criminalizing men who see prostitutes but don't cause any problems for them or for others in their neighbourhood. It would be MUCH easier to enact prohibitive legislation if there had been a recent case that the government could cite as a reasonable demonstration of how dangerous and harmful prostitution is and show that it needs to be severely curtailed. But there simply isn't a case like that. The Picton murders and subsequent inquiry demonstrated the vulnerability of street-based sex workers and highlighted the insecurity of sex workers in general. Public opinion consistently lies in favour of protecting vulnerable groups rather than outlawing them. And yes, I know that public opinion can be fickle, but let's also remember that the present federal government is more responsive to poll results than any other in recent history. The other thing to keep in mind at all times is that criminalization will require increasing police attention and court time to address prostitution-related crimes. In most jurisdictions, there simply isn't enough money, let alone political will, when it comes to expanding the police force unnecessarily. Conflicts related to prostitution are frequently viewed as inter-personal, with one person claiming to have been badly treated by another. This kind of problem never gets a great deal of attention from the police or the public unless there's significant violence or someone dies. Our courts are already overloaded. In some jurisdictions, people who have been charged with violent crimes have been allowed to walk free because it wasn't possible to bring them to trial in a timely manner. Is there much political will to expand the number of judges and generally increase court times and services in order to prosecute prostitutes and their clients? It's doubtful, particularly since the great majority of us work without anyone's notice. Even though we're easy to find if someone wants our companionship, we're not usually easy to notice in other ways. Canadians are more concerned about things like human trafficking and the sexual exploitation of children and minors--rightly so! Ultimately, the big question is whether criminalizing prostitution will make it go away. The answer is no, of course not. We're not called "the oldest profession" for nothing. Ours is a capitalist economy. If prostitution were to be criminalized, expect to pay higher fees and to have to provide significantly more verifiable personal information if you want to see a professional companion. Yeah I believe in love...I think the problem with high divorce rates is that our culture has become a very disposable one...in the sense that EVERYTHING is disposable. Whether it be a cell phone, a kitchen appliance or a relationship. Once upon a time, when something started showing signs of wear and tear, say, a VCR or something, we didn't automatically kick it to the curb and go out and buy a new one. We would open it up and tinker around with the insides and try to find the problem, often getting a shock, slicing our finger open, and cursing all the while, literally putting our blood, sweat and tears into it....but once it started working again, the feeling of reward and satisfaction was that much greater for the work we put into it. Or, worst case scenario, if we couldn't fix it ourselves we'd take it out and pay to have a professional repair it (read: tv repairman/marriage counselor). And only as a very last result would we even consider going out and buying a new one. This is not the case anymore, I think we've gotten it into our mind that everything is so easily disposable and replaceable, and whether it be consciously or subconsciously, this somehow includes relationships too. I'm not being holier than thou, I'm guilty of this too. I've never been married but I think every relationship I've been in, has ended too easily without putting up much of a fight, neither one of us made the necessary efforts needed to keep things going. Once things started getting boring or stale, we abandoned ship. The problems marriages/long term relationships encounter today are the exact same problems which were encountered 20, 30, 50, 100 years ago. The love felt today between two people is no less powerful than it was by two people in the past. The difference is now, in our culture today, no one is willing to put the necessary work into making something work. We just go on ebay and find a new one, often at what we perceive to be a better price. At least that's how I see it.

Changing sheets and redoing our makeup is a very small part of our work. Sex work is also emotional labour. Spending 2 hours with one gentleman can be a lot more emotionally draining than spending an hour each with 2 gentlemen. Chemistry would play a huge role here.
