I think this thread is kinda sweet, and funny too! I did not get married, I am back in school for the moment. I took a year off to recover from some health issues, and after some much needed healing, decided to go back to school to complete my degree. I miss all the lovely moments I was able to share with you awesome people, and miss all the amazing women in this community also. I have decided to bring back the Sweetest Massages in May, when I am done with my schooling. I am disgusted that the CBC repeatedly refers to the cartoons as Anti-Islam. The cartoons are satirical and usually have valid obvious points. Why does the CBC not discuss the specific cartoons instead of making ignorant assumptions? I think it is CBC promoting their victimisation dogma. The CBC played interviews with two "offended" Muslims. One of those offended acknowledged she had never seen any of the cartoons...but was extremely offended. The interviewer was sympathetic to the Muslims but never questioned them as to why Muslims should dictate what everyone else should be able to read. If you think something is offensive then don't look at it. Don't tell me what I can read or think.

I recently had a former client friend-request me on my personal Facebook because we had a mutual friend. I found it highly inappropriate and somewhat disturbing. I promptly blocked him and it is safe to say I would no longer be comfortable seeing him as a client, were he to contact me again. If you see a lady outside of the workplace, whether it be in person or on social media, pretend you didn't. It is a game we all play for the sake of discretion. I have no illusions as to how private, or public my identity may be, but as members of this community, I think we can all agree to be cordial and limit our interactions to the hobby space, unless both parties indicate otherwise. That said, there are circumstances where relationships formed in the hobby can migrate into the rest of our lives. If you and your client/lady maintain contact outside of the hobby, it is up to you how to handle chance meetings etc. But if you only connect with your lady/client for the purposes of hobbying, then take care not to make any assumptions, no matter how friendly your client/lady may be during appointments.

Sorry you had to go through something that has scared you. I think perhaps you should pm the mod first and have them help you to decide how best to inform others here, you might not want an influx of pm's from those you don't know. Stories can change once they get passed from person to person. Unfortunately this business comes with as much negativity as it does benefits, but please don't let it change you, there are a few good ones out there in the biz, who are truly interested in helping another co-worker. Moi, je suis Charlie aussi. I don't think there's any doubt we can all climb on board that statement, since people should be able to write or say or draw absolutely anything they want without fear of being murdered by someone they've offended. We can all say "je suis Charlie" with pride and determination to stand up for that principle. On the other hand, freedom of speech doesn't mean you must be able to say anything you want and be utterly free of consequence. If you're a fast food company in the U.S. and you make statements against marriage equality and put money behind efforts to suppress it, you can't sputter with indignation when some of your customers choose to walk away. Similarly, a lot of what Charlie Hebdo has published in the past looks pretty awful and tasteless to me. As many commenters are noting today as they examine Charlie Hebdo's back-catalog, the magazine had an inclination to take swipes at powerless minorities, when the usual targets for the weapons of satire are those too comfortable in their positions of power and privilege. But they seemed within the limits of French law, and if anyone disagreed then they could choose to bring a case. Some laws mandate that some kinds of speech should be outright curtailed in the public interest. You can't be a Holocaust Denier in Canada for example, or try to hold certain kinds of rallies in Germany, without facing legal consequences. Same thing for the Dalhousie students; you don't get to say anything you want, no matter how hateful, without accepting the consequences for the environment you have created, how you may have violated the standards required by your university, or for showing that you can't meet expectations of your future professional organizations. But any repercussions must be legal, and follow a process, and they most certainly can't involve being gunned down in your office. So even if some of what they published was dumb, ugly garbage, it's for the preservation of the rule of law that we should all stand beside Charlie Hebdo and against terror. Few things have made me smile wider than the huge crowd in France on the night of the shootings, with a big illuminated sign "NOT AFRAID".

Vanessa has been advertising on Backpage for at least a year, I believe, but I've never taken an opportunity to meet her. That was mainly due to little being known about her other than one or two comments on the boards (all positive). I decided a few days ago, though, to "take a chance" and I'm very happy I did. She's very easy to deal with and even easier to be with. Very sweet. As you can tell by her photos, she's a curvy and voluptuous woman and very attractive. I used a few adaptogens to help lower cortisol ( the stress horomone) that was wreaking havoc with my horomones and causing me to be very tired for no reason at one point in my life. Since using them and changing my lifestyle to one that has slowed down considerably, it has helped immensely and I no longer feel exhausted or feel like a crying pregnant woman. At one point, that's how it felt but it was all just an imbalance of horomones. We as women have do deal with all that crap. lol. Although they say this is years in the making, so many people are walking around out there and don't know what's wrong with them till serious exhaustion hits them one day. Caffeine is used everyday to help people get by but it actually makes the adrenals worse because it's a stimulant but I'm not one to talk because I used to do the exact same thing! Doctors never wanted to address it as adrenal fatigue ( it's not a 'real' health problem to many of them) but with all the reading and having saliva testing done to test my horomone levels, it all had to do with the adrenals. With plenty of rest, a serious drop in stress and saying no to others, little to no caffeine ( that was a hard one!), vitamins and herbs, I now feel more like myself again. I also went to see a naturopath to address these issues. The following adaptogens I used that really helped with my energy were Ashwaganda Holy Basil Ginseng Astragalus Rhodiola Others I used to help the adrenals were magnesium vitamin c ( also great when in need of some quick energy) b5 - Pantothenic acid Maca ( it can balance horomones but can vary in people where it could also act as a stimulant which isn't good for adrenals) There are so many others I take everyday like htp-5, b6, b 12 for mood but these were the ones that helped me considerably.

It was to great debate with myself but I decided that I should post a warning about a bit of a scary situation that had happened to me involving a male individual. I think the next CMJ party may be a Valentine's Day theme in February. Not sure yet. What better time to have another show where CMJ hostesses can be girl-on-girl with their lovers. Thank you for sharing. So you have substance and feelings and concern, nothing at all wrong with that. This isn't a sign that you aren't meant to hobby. Every woman you meet will cause different feelings and create different outcomes, they'll all be original and what comes of them or how they continue is a private matter between the two of you. There are rules we all follow as far as discretion, but just as we all look and act differently we all have different boundaries and rules. Emily great points. Thank you. One thing I'd like to mention is talking to ladies about other ladies. Where their location is, etc. I fired a long time client because he was way too chatty about other ladies he has seen. It's not like I asked him information, but when he told another lady where my location was (specificlly), I decided he didn't understand discretion. I have no idea what else he had told others. It put me in a vulnerable position, as I don't know this lady, and she caused some shit for me. So please, keep your chatter to yourself.

Definitely a compartmentalized life, I trust no one with this aspect of it. It's just the way things are. More so now than ever with the massive negative publicity around the new law, which reinforces all the usual stereotypes.

Many guys tend to fall in lust ( not love) with the idea of the SP and what *they* think she is or the image she portrays in her business. I am pretty much a genuine person but I also have my faults/flaws and am not perfect. Some clients tend to fall in love with the illusion we offer. It's a fantasy and that is what draws men towards SP. Personally, I can't tell you how many times this has happened to me and for an SP, it is extremely awkward to have to deal with a customer who crosses boundaries and doesn't respect them. Do you really want to know all of me including the not so good side? Most likely not. I once had to deal with this sort of situatuon with someone who isn't a Cerb member and met them as a client through another type of escort advertising. Having to be put on the spot about phrases like "I think you're great and I consider you a friend. I would really like to take you out to dinner or a movie." or "Anytime you feel horny, give me a call." And all the while knowing full well about my personal situation and NOT respecting it by pushing their way in. How am I supposed to respond to this? Shall I be clear, blunt and be a bitch and say "Is this off the clock?" or "Okay, I can go out with you, it's going to be this much." How is a client who is clearly falling for an SP going to respond to this? I know what it's going to be...disappointment, rejection and I'm a money hungry bitch. it will be all put back on me when I'm just trying to do my job but put in a situation where it is only one sided. I'm not looking for a boyfriend or to hang out on the side! I am well aware that some ladies do this and some unsavory women may use men despite the type of job they hold in this industry but I'm not one of those women. I see my clients, give it a 100% when I'm with them and that's it untll they decide to call or text me again. I do not contact them out of the blue, use them to my advantage to get extra money by leading them on. That's not the way I roll. I am not interested in having personal friendships with my clients and maintain two different worlds. Sorry to say but it can only go so far. Having to let someone down isn't easy because they are going to feel rejected either way even if it's put in a nice, polite way. If an SP isn`t being reciprocal in your advances to take time to see each other off the clock, take a hint and understand why. She is doing her job! I refuse to have a client turn this around on me and make me feel bad when THEY decide to blur the lines. if this is the case and my boundaries are not respected, I will no longer take them on as a client and it's not my fault. If a client can't understand the difference between a real friendship ( without being paid) and one with an SP who he pays, then he has to deal with some issues of his own. I've encountered a few clients who really did blur the lines and were in denial and didn't want to think of their favorite SP as someone who was in a business relationship with them. Often times, they have issues going on in their lives and quickly attach themselves emotionally to an SP due to the imtimate intricacies involved in an encounter. Many clients have said to me that they feel when they're with me that they don't even feel like they're with an SP because it feels so natural but they really are with an SP! Don`t get me wrong... I really do enjoy what I do for a living but it`s what I do for a living and I am good at it. It is not something that coincides with my personal life. If my personal life is affected and I feel anxious or awkward every time a clients pushes the boundaries, money is not an issue with me when it comes to my mental and emotional state. They will be asked not to return. Respect your SP..
