I've really enjoyed participating in this forum, and have appreciated corresponding with many fascinating people here. However current circumstances dictate that I request the deletion of my account.

I'd want to state once more, with deep conviction, that providers deserve respect and great courtesy, and that it's the responsibility of every client to help create a culture in which their safety is ensured, and their intrinsic worth is validated.

Wishing all of you well.

Another delay before my gets his car (apparently his salesman was in a car accident which caused the first delay).

So instead of having fun on Monday on a hot date, I have to drive my son to his car dealer... but after that I should have fewer car related scheduling problems for my hobby life.

Massive thunderstorm cell just passed through. It was sunny when I left for work, and I left the windows open in the house for fresh air... Hoping no water got in...

Water utility for one of the projects I am tasked with is jerking me around. They have granted and withdrawn permit 4 times now since Thursday... Seems I get an approval and someone else sees it and claws it back. There is no unified command. Good grief! Frustrating

A couple of weeks ago I had a routine follow up with my family doctor. I mentioned that an old problem is back. Since I have had it investigated twice in the past and nothing was ever found. I shrugged it off again. Today I got a call from the specialist. I have been scheduled for a medical procedure at the hospital next week. WOW!! It normally takes six months or longer to get in to see him. This is now scaring me that it could be serious this time....

Not sure when manners went by the wayside but it's my biggest pet peeve! If you text or email someone with a question and they answer promptly.....whether or not you like the answer (to the question provided in the ad) say thank you or something!!!

take a side trip to the flower pots... fantastic... always wanted to watch the tide come in (from up at the top that is)... but so far I've only been there at low tide. My daughter (6 at the time) was terrified about the tide suddenly coming in after I showed her where the high water mark was.... way up above our heads.

Got up early this morning to catch a plane to Chicago and then onto Portland Oregon for a 2 day work related conference. Had to fight early rush hour traffic to get to the airport by 8:20. Got my boarding passes, went through customs, and security and onto the plane. The plane left the gate a little late and then had weather related delays for an hour. At this point the other planes that were in front of us started taking off, but not our plane... our apparently was having some mechanical problems. They fixed it, and proceeded down towards the runway, and then stopped and announced the problem was back. After a further 15 minutes they announced they were returning to the gate to work on the problem. At this point they gave us the option of exiting, but said if we did, we would have to go through customs, collect our bags and then rebook etc. on another flight... so we stayed... hoping... They rebooted the system etc., but to no avail and finally cancelled the flight. I then exited, went through Canadian customs, collected my bags, and stood in line for an hour at which point I found out there was no way to get to Portland today, and its only a 2 day conference, so I asked if I could just cancel the entire trip... and I did that... I then had to drive home through rush hour Toronto traffic. So I'm home, feeling jet lagged even though I didn't go anywhere.
