highlights of the day

Recommended Posts

I was surprised by a very sweet gent who I once joked about how we both like captain crunch so next time we met we would have 'breakfast' together. Well, it turns out he actually remembered and showed up not only with the cereal but of course milk and even bowls and spoons

Getting a call from my ex-wife, just to talk about 9/11. We don't really like each other, but it is a moment in time that will always bond the two of us together.

Went to starbucks and got a free Americano because the lady in front of me decided to pay for the next person. :D! god bless her and her random kind acts!

Driving my tired daughter to 6 a.m. practice only to find out it only starts later this month. She forgave me and got pancakes. And the dog and I had a nice long walk along the river in the early sunshine.

Wallking the dog by the river again under a full moon, stopping at a friends for a couple of Lug'O'Treads by the chiminaya and going home with some of his fresh smoked ribs. Just lickin' my fingers clean so I can type this.

The highlight of my day was having the pleasure of being the first (after the MOD of course) to be able to congratulate Samantha and WIT on winning the favourite provider/member awards.

Old Dog and I were so relieved we came in second place because we didn't want the responsibility of such a position. All those social commitments and interviews, tours, events, hand shaking and smiling and waving.

Nah, we'd rather just hang out near the food table and bar at all the after parties and reap the benefits of being in good company. And then Old Dog doesn't have to worry about the stains on his tie. Oh, he doesn't even have to worry about wearing a tie which is even better!

True enough.... ties remind me of collars and leashes, and collars and leashes mean only one thing.... THE LAST LONG WALK TO THE VET!!!!

Reading on the bus and having someone play some acoustic songs on their guitar beside me. The bus was pretty empty, and I found myself wanting to stay on the bus rather than get off...

I missed my bus stop, and got off the bus when he did. I ran up after him, awkwardly and said "Thank you". He was really flabbergasted and then I told him I had to hop the 95 back in the other direction. He laughed and then I took the bus back to where I was going.

I never regret moments like that. I didn't have anywhere important to be anyway :-)

What a nice thing to do and being able to recognize those moments is special. This is the highlight of my day, thank you :)

Peace

As many of you know I have not been on CERB much in the last month and a half. The reason for that is that I had some sort of infection that affected my right hand mainly in the wrist. I have been at the hospital first and took Xrays and been on intravenous for a week and then to my family doctor who referred me to a specialist who got bone scans and MRI and blood work done.

All the results came back negative for anything wrong but in the meantime I was taking anti inflamatory, anti biotics and such, my stomach could not take it anymore and neither could I.

I have decided to go with non conventional medicine and seek the help of the acupuncture. I have been there 3 times in the last week and now can type on my keyboard with both hands.

I would like you all imagine what it would be like to not being able to use your right hand for anything. I could not brush my teeth, shower properly, squeeze a shampoo bottle, dry myself, shake my hands to remove water after washing them, start my vehicle, cook my food, cut my meat, and all the fun thing about sex like masturbate, slap a bum, fingering etc.

I'm on my way to a speedy recovery and I'm very happy, I will ride my motorcycle for the first time in over 2 months.
