10 pointsReaching this milestone, and have thought it through and through for quite sometime now, this post will be my last in the general discussion area, recommendation area and other areas as well. I will keep my profile active, and continue to chat through pm's or profile pages, by saying hello to those good friends, and of course checking out the ladies schedules and announcements and social groups. ;) I'm sorry but I just don't have anything more to say or add into the those sections of the board. My reasoning for staying out of posting here,is that the content on the board has lost some of it's "reality" in why we we all chose to become a member here on CERB. That being a community of people striving to have the same result, good fun,sex of course, how to stay and play safe and play along nicely with each other. The latter certainly has not been happened enough lately in my view, I had read MOD's note to those Elite Members and Sp members in that section.I hope that it is okay to quote MOD here in the general area where some other members can see what was said...I think it is important to all general members as well. The site is suppose to be... 1) a positive side of the industry 2) A fun place 3) A community 4) A place to get friendly advise 5) A place where the ladies can come and not worry about being slandered 6) A place for the "Good clients" to feel at home When I first started here, the wealth of information provided by members was such a huge importance for men and ladies to ensure quality time together and it was always very positive back then and great fun... but not so much lately. Those members that have provided that information of safety/quality time/advise/ health issues etc etc are and can be the key to continued success of this board. So stay positive folks. It has been a fun place, until recent past months, that is my own personal view on the matter Just far too much hostility lately, and I rather not participate in those discussions, and yes I have been guilty myself of doing so, but realizing it is only counterproductive. However I would like to say, I really have not found it lately a place for "good clients" to feel at home at least that is my feeling. I always consider myself a good client with ladies I have met and I of course look forward in meeting new ladies as well in the future. We all see the hostile quotes left in the rep points handed out, we all see the hostile thread comments and even lately comments left on other profile pages. We all have our own interpretation, but that is what happens when you have a diverse community, I guess. I'm sure some will be happy that I will be staying away from posting, and I think some others may not (48 threads started of rec's...lol.. I did give back to community in a way :) ). So thank-you all, it is not good bye, just tuning out, may you all enjoy the Holiday Season, and have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

8 pointsChange and renewal is inevitable and needed if Cerb is to survive and remain relevant. PP is not the first to go nor will he be the last there have been many others who have just slipped away or reduced their public involvement. Seems to be the nature of the beast. Cerb just might be on the cusp of a changing of the guard as it were and it might be the time for a new generation of players to make Cerb their own. With the new year coming it seems timely to look to the future. Peace MG

8 pointsI must ad that it's not solely the ladies creating this atmosphere. Just for the record.

7 pointsThis is exactly why I posted this in the ELITE/SP ONLY area. A small handful of people are creating a hostile environment for some. Pushing good members like Pete to do things like this! It's bad for the board, bad for the ladies as it makes potential and really good long term clients not feel welcome. I think jealousy is playing a role in this with some and maybe even boredom for some? Not sure but what we need to do is suggest to the council that anyone causing a hostile environment here gets ONE warning then the BOOT! I know myself and the other mod have talked about this for a while now and we both agree... it's a handful of people killing the vibe for many and it has to stop. Those people responsible need to find a new thing to focus on! Pete, I hope you come back and post. Your a valued member here and one many of the guys look up to. I know I appreciate all your contributions to cerb and this post hopefully opens up some peoples eyes. The ladies who are doing this are just making themselves and other ladies loose business. You kill the friendly vibe of the site and kill off the top members and the quality posters you kill the traffic to the site and hurt business for yourself and the others. It's just dumb!

4 pointsI don't know where to begin with this... and when it gets going, I don't know how it will end. First, to Pete. I can't say I didn't see this coming. I was perplexed to a degree by the fact that you virtually stopped posting in the past year - I suspected that it had to do with a family issue to which you had alluded earlier, but I also suspected that was not the sole purpose. My suspicions were accurate. It seems you, like many others, have become somewhat disenchanted with the direction of CERB and the fact that it has, in many ways, diverted its course from a community playground to a series of soapboxes surrounded by fragile eggshells. If it's any consolation, I admire your decision. You, of all the guys on the board, were the first to extend a hand in friendship to me. I was new and you reached out to welcome me to the fold. I thank you for that and will remember that gesture of kindness and camaraderie fondly. Your decision to step to the side is an ominous reminder to all of us that what was once a very inclusive and welcoming community has become a mosaic of factions. It disturbs me that we have lost a resounding voice, a pioneer and a friend to many, not to illness, not to dramatic life change, but to indifference and worse... to intolerance. I understand the changing nature of the business. I understand the need to forge alliances, to form organizations and to speak up on issues that are relevant. There are hundreds of issues that affect our community and frankly this is the best and only place that we have to discuss these things civilly and openly with both sides of the business, provider and client sharing an equal voice. There is NO OTHER PLACE like CERB. That being said, we have set ourselves on a course where if we don't change... if we don't alter the path on which we tread, we will all end up in disparate destinations. God knows, many of us have tried to be peacemakers. We seek to smooth ruffled feathers and heap praise upon those who work to make our community better, divert conversations that get heated and try to get things back on track. There are however those in this community that believe that this is an opportunity to put people in their place. To disregard the intent of the board. To twist words. To belittle and demean. Frankly, and pardon my use of the vernacular, we have a few assholes on board. I may be one of them... I don't know. It's ironic that in this season of togetherness, the season of joy and family and all other things warm and fuzzy, we shouldn't have to face the departure of a valued member of our family to this situation. It's like losing the uncle that told dirty jokes or the capricious cousin that knew what life was all about. Pete... you have been and will be missed. Your contributions were the cornerstone for many things that followed and will follow. It is my hope, especially at Christmas, that we can give each other the gift of love, respect, humour and good natured discourse in the new year and the many years to come. We have seen in this sad event, what happens when that does not occur. Finally, I do extend to each and every one of you my love and admiration for the holiday season. You have enriched my life in ways that you can't possibly imagine. OD

2 pointsLet's do it now! For my part, I've offered a conciliatory hand to any I've offended or upset this year, and am eager for a new beginning. Thank you, Pete, for encouraging this discussion.

2 pointsI am sorry but an entity is the sum of all it's parts. No disrespect to u pp (your valiant effort with the Xmas spirit did not go unnoticed) but to those who complain after the fact, well perhaps u should have tried to change the atmosphere sooner! To one and all a very Merry Christmas.

1 pointHi all. I'm new to this site, as well as this new hobby :icon_wink: Just wanted to say hello and pardon any blunders I may make as I navigate around and get my bearings. Merry Christmas to all, and I hope to see some of you soon in the new year! Cheers

1 pointI was leaving Ottawa the other day and left my purse outside the hotel...{i'm always in a dither when traveling}:icon_eek: . I hadn't noticed until i was half way to the train and starting freaking out...i get back to the hotel and the concierge and another are trying to call me...some good Samaritan had brought it in. Now that was wonderful. Nice to know this world isn't so corrupt and there are still people out there like that.

1 pointPete, I have one comment to make in this thread. For someone that is retiring quietly, you have positively commented with everyone that agrees with your take on the situation here. You're still hanging in there so all is not completely lost from your starting this thread? You have many that look highly upon you and your status here. However, I'm just a lady that gives the same advice I give myself. We're not always going to be right, not everyone will agree and we're all of different views. I"m learning that more and more as I spend time here. Your posts have been appreciated, but diversity is now key and we are evolving. Hoping you do come back as I'm pretty discouraged too by this posting. We're much stronger together than being divided right? Perhaps in most situations..... Happy Holidays everyone. E

1 pointAs for the ones you mentioned: The Watchmen = Amazing! The Walking Dead - Read the first fifty issues so far. Robert Kirkman is one evil bastard when it comes to how he treats his characters! The Crow - Very different from the movie, but a good time nonetheless Some other Suggestions: Locke and Key by Joe Hill - The whole premise behind the keys and the secrets they carry hooked me something fierce! Invincible, Tech Jacket, and The Astounding Wolfman, all by Robert Kirkman - These aren't your older brother's super hero comics. Not by a long shot! Once again, Kirkman puts his characters through the wringer time and time again. Preacher by Garth Ennis - A small town preacher loses his faith and takes up a quest to find god and bring him to account for his actions. Loads of fucked up shit in this one. V for Vendetta - Another Graphic novel that is quite different from the film. Not for everybody, but I found it was an enjoyable read. Dr. McNinja by Christopher Hastings - Originally a webcomic, it's now been released in graphic novel format. For those who love laughing at the irreverent and ridiculous

1 pointPete, your contributions to this board are truly immeasurable and should not be diminished. I'm glad you've been able to structure your participation in a way that works for you as opposed to a complete withdrawal. So long, and thanks for all the effort you put into this community. Your work has not gone unnoticed or unappreciated.

1 pointack, my little rep point comment got messed up. Basically saying that some folks may not realize that the way of this business has been undergoing subtle changes. Sps to a certain extent have learned from the cooperation of clients working together and this has been shown on forums and boards. Basically sps have discovered also that working together is far more beneficial than working competitively. This is new and to some new is scary. They want to try to control that, turn back the clock, but its too late. So yes, people feel out of place, maybe some of the things that they say and do are no longer relevant in this new world of interconnection and cooperation, and the response to their assumptions can be swift and not always supportive lol It would be really cool if there could be a realization that sps/client dynamics are not the same as they were in the past. Think instead of jealous, now solidarity, cooperation and collective.

1 pointYeesh!! I'm sure you were much cuter than that in whatever photo your Dad's talking about! ;) But they promise that Arnie and Bruce will have a more extensive roles in this one! Not just cameos! And Dolph's back too...I'm totally psyched :p And yes, I TOTALLY agree with you about the Tim Burton Batman movies. Heath Ledger's Joker totally wasn't clown-ish enough, The Batmobile in the new movies doesn't look at all Bat-ish....it just looks like a tank....and the new Catwoman for this new movie doesn't look cat like at all. Plus the Tim Burton Batman movies were just plain fun and still took themselves seriously....but not too seriously. Not to mention Christopher Walken....pretty much any movie featuring Christopher Walken is a win in my books.

1 pointWe should all keep in mind that there is a time and place for sex toys and we all have to be careful how they are used!!

1 pointI was just curious if anyone knew if Sasha B (or at least that's what she used to be called) was still in the city? Any information you might have would certainly be appreciated if you could please PM me. Thanks!

1 pointHopefully you'll still comment on pictures in albums. I know the girls get a charge out of it. I've enjoyed your reviews and comments. I'm not sure if you realize, but you can block people and that way you don't see their comments. It works for me, about 40 on the block list. Take care.

1 pointSorry to see you go, but it is not surprising. I slowed my posting almost a year ago for much of the same reason. I went from having a nomination as being a valuable member to being a basic lurker. So sad it has come to this.
-
1 pointThanks for this Pete, know it or not..You are taking a stand for the underdogs that have been on the receiving end of this smearing. Your contribution to this board deserves an applause, so, I applaud you. Thank you for all your time and kind words you have had for me, I'll surely miss reading your good stuff. :)

1 pointPete ... This is really sad to see. x1000 thanks for all the contributions. And Pete, the race is on to 10,000 posts ... Think of how much fun you can have getting there!:boobies: Take care my friend!
-
1 pointSad to see you step out of the discussion forum Pete, I always admired you point of view on various subject, I'm glad you will be sticking around though since some of us here still need advice and someone with experience around. Good to know we can still reach you by PM my friend. I want to wish you a Merry Christmas and all the best in the coming year 2012. Also congrats on reaching 5000 post.

1 pointSorry to hear this Pete. Your contributions will be missed. Not just for the volume of contributions but also for your willingness to speak your mind (and occasionally "stir the pot" if it needs stirring.) Everyone should always feel welcome to voice their opinions here as long as they respect the other members. Good luck in future endeavors.

1 pointKeeping it classy until the end, good on you Pete! Your contributions will be missed!

1 pointI don't believe in Cancelation Fees. if we are exceptional service providers, we will always be able to fill the space of a cancelation, not to mention making really good money. To bring up a cancelation fee the next time we see a client who has had to cancel in my opinion is tasteless.....unless he is a total jerk and then you don't book with him again. Simple....no? i just appreciate the fact that those who have had to cancel come back without me asking for an extra fee. That mentality doesn't sit quite right with me. To each there own! Lauren

1 pointPersonally, its much more about the journey than the destination with my encounters. I haven't been hobbying for long but I can tell you that the 1hrs I have been booking are already starting to feel too short for a good 'build-up' so I will be looking towards longer sessions as $$ can accomidate. I can't even phathom trying to cram msog in 30 mins - not much fun in that.
