I just try to ensure the conversation is respectful and genuine. I really enjoy the conversations I have with the fabulous women I see. They are bright, engaging and intelligent women, and generally we have no trouble carrying on a conversation. Think of it like a first date with someone you like and want to impress. You wouldn't pry on a first date, and stay away from more sensitive personal issues. On later dates, sometimes these things get discussed, but they should be at the lady's initiative.

This question gets me every time LOL Along the same lines... We seem to have great chemistry, do you think we could be friends with benefits instead? Maybe we should start a thread on the best 'pick up lines' asking for discounts and/or freebies? ;) lol

Travelling to one of my fav cities and will see one of the smartest and sexiest woman I've ever known! I feel so lucky that she makes up a small part of my life but honestly means everything to me when I'm with her. And leaves me thinking about her when I'm not and waiting for that next opportunity. Due to popular demand, I will be once again co-hosting a fall social for both male and female CERB members in good standing on Thursday, September 13th in Ottawa. Since this is being organized by CERB members for other CERB members, please do not bother the MOD about this event. It will be held a centrally located venue in Ottawa. It will be in a reserved room of a public bar/restaurant. It will run from approximately 6:30 p.m. until closing time. There will be a variety of music played and dancing will be encouraged. There will be a limit of 50 spots available (ideally 25 gents/25 ladies), on a first-come, first-served basis to those members in good standing who have some presence on the board or in the hobby (if you have a low post count, but good rep, that's all we care about). There will be a cost for gents to attend and tickets will be available starting in mid-August. You will be able to pay by e-mail money transfer, postal money order or cash (in person). The price of the tickets will be determined at that time as well. This is to cover drinks for the ladies, appetizers, door prizes and other expenses associated with organizing these events. There will be no cost to the ladies to attend, however we will be doing things a bit differently this time. Due to the popularity of past events and the fact there are some ladies we had to turn away because we were full, if you are such a lady, you will be given first priority this time. I kept a list from last time. And ladies, for those of you who said you wanted to attend and then did not even extend us the courtesy of letting us know beforehand (or even afterwards) that you couldn't attend, please do not embarass yourself by asking to come this time. We have more people wanting to attend, than spots available and you had your chance, sorry.:confused0024: This also applies to the gents who I said could pay at the door last minute and didn't show either. I do not wish to make this a sore point or create any controversy - it's just something that had to be said. Moving on to a more positive note - looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones. This is a meet and greet social event in a public venue (no hanky panky :)) and as with past events, expect all attendees to behave accordingly. I had to walk away laughing and gripping my sides when I read the "stand on your head" one XD I think it's safe to say (for both the ladies n gents) that if you would feel awkward answering the question your self that you should add it to your own red flag list of faux pas. The information (personal or opinions) that is offered in an encounter should simply be that, offered. I always do my best not to ask questions, but instead steer conversations along as though I have just meet someone randomly that is stimulating. (Which for the most part is kinda what is going on right) As for the "shopping around" questions..... If u want to be sure the girl isn't giving someone else a cut just ask her if she is independent. Simple, factual, and polite :) As for the "feeding a habit" concern....... Take the time to read reviews, ask other members, and msg the lady or call her and feel her out a bit. Most ladies that consider themselves "elite" "professional" "VIP" and so on from my experience are very clean both inside and out. (This means their personalities as well, just say'n) And just to add to Cat's already amazing list "I'm young and good looking, I have no problem getting laid, can I get a discount?" I'm not one to post recommendations. To me my time with an SP is a personal thing and I don't like to share details but Aubrey definitely deserves it. I met her for the first time last night. Well this is a great thread for all to read. I have gotten this question a few times and it kind of leaves me with an uneasy feeling, What type of childhood did you have? Was there sexual molestation in any way? Did that lead you to this career? I know there are many myths out there that say our childhood events lead us to this career but I dont dfeel that is the norm. Everyone has thier own reasons for thier career choices and I wished some clients would not think that every SP had an incident, that lead to this career. I believe your upbring is a very personal area, that unless is brought up by the SP, it should go UNmentioned.

You said they installed a different OS. Different than Ubuntu? Different version? Please be more specific in that regard for best help. Assuming it is still Linux based here is my first guess. Videos are DVD rips. If this is the case, you will need to install DeCSS in order to decode them. Once I know what OS we are talking about I can provide more specific advice. If it is Ubuntu/Kubuntu/Lubuntu, etc, etc go through the following. Install ubuntu-restricted-extras package through the software centre/synaptic. After that, follow the instructions from here:https://help.ubuntu.com/community/RestrictedFormats/PlayingDVDs Turning off compiz is a catch all solution that solves hundreds of problems. Are you sure the 3D drivers are even activated? That could explain some things. Ask if you need help with this, but they are under either "Additional Drivers" or "Restricted Drivers". Flash sucks. Alot. Flash on Linux is forgotten about. It may be just that for YouTube, but installing the above things may help fix it too. Would like to know what you mean by "different OS" and what you have for a video card for better help. Will be willing to help via real time chat, remote desktop control, etc if it comes down to it. I realise the above is very general and probably not very helpful, you probably went through much already. Those are my first thoughts and as we know more we can help further. Good luck.

Not from Ottawa so i am afraid I cannot help, but I will warn you to stay away from the big chains. Very especially Best Buy. Search the consumerist website for Geek Squad if you want to know why and spend a few hours being horrified. Asking for recommendations is a good thing as most tech support is overpriced. xBen: Meg strikes me as someone who could figure it out by searching the web, or asking on Usenet, but she may not have the time or like many people the confidence that she could. Trust me there are people who could not solve their issue by searching the web because they just do not know what to look for. Also, what if it is a serious hardware issue? Google isn't going to tell you the power unit is messed up. I do agree almost all tech support is overpriced. My suggestion would be for Meg to do what she did -ask for suggestions for a good place for it.
