Gouging?? That's a bit hysterical, isn't it? After all, using the services of an SP is an extreme personal luxury. Not a life necessity like food, fuel, heat, shelter, shoes for your kids. Gouging happens when one jacks up the price of something that people can't go without. If they raised the price of Porsches by 25% one year, though, it would not be thought of as gouging because Porsches are luxuries for those who can afford them. There is no obligation to make them cheap enough for everyone to have one. To put some perspective on this matter, when I first worked in Toronto in 1982, the going rate was $250/hour. That's what I'm charging today. During that time, rents, many food costs, cost of a new car, fuel and heating oil have risen steadily (which I don't mind so much; I am more upset that quality and customer service has plunged). In one year, due to the application of the HST, my home heating oil bill shot up 8%. I'm not talking about luxuries, but life necessities. Prices may fluctuate a bit from one year to the next, but looked at over the course of decades, our rates are stuck in a rut. Generally, it's considered to be in very poor taste to complain about the price of luxuries. No one owes you a luxury experience. It's something you can either afford to treat yourself to or not. I have a list of sexy clients as long as my arm but none of them would want to be listed here. They pay for my service which is based on discretion at all times. They know who they ;) are and don't need a shout out... cat

I should note too that sometimes a rate fluctuation is just a miscalculation on our part. But when we know we've screwed up, we have to put it right. Sometimes that means putting the price down a bit. Other times, raising it. When i first started seeing people out here in the sticks, I lowered my rate. My reasoning was that the lower rate would compensate my Ottawa regulars for coming the distance to see me. But it turned out that those regulars who could and would come all this way to see me continued paying my old rate, even though I told them a lower rate was available. And for those who couldn't or wouldn't come out here to see me, the lower rate didn't affect their decision. Meanwhile, I was advertising and picking up new clients out here, at the lower rate. Which was not good for me. The lower your rate, the more appointments you need to accept to cover your costs each month. In my situation, I need to keep traffic to a minimum, so by simply returning my rates to where they were before I left Ottawa, I could cut down on a lot of traffic. Of course, I continue to honour the lower rate for those good customers I acquired at that rate. But the higher rate takes more pressure off than you'll ever know. Over the years, many prospects have informed me that if I'd simply cut my rates in half, I would get twice as many customers. They say this like it's a good thing. But let me ask you this: if someone told you if you worked for half what you do, you could work twice as many hours, would that sound like a good thing to you? Run twice as hard for the same amount of money? I just don't see the selling point in that argument.

Well I am just going to have some fun with this. Sexy is a state of mind and attitude, how much fun can we have and can we laugh and enjoy ourselves? Now I have not met Lee Richards and really folks the pics he provides us are not to sexy but he is my kind of guy, whitty, sharp and up for a good time. Well I'll chime in here. And as someone who wouldn't make nor expect to make such a list (I'm bald, overweight, and middle aged) based on criteria posted Likely ladies wouldn't publicly post such a list. Ladies see many clients, and to only list some of their clients as the most sexy while complimentary to those listed could be seen as insulting by gentlemen who haven't been listed. And possibly a lady could lose a client or two And I know there are some best of threads by guys about ladies. Personally i don't partake in those, it can be seen as insulting to those ladies who wouldn't make a list, so there is no hypocrisy in what I'm saying In my honest opinion the relationship between a client and lady is private between the two, not something that should be ranked in a public "best of" list for all to see Just my humble opinion RG

Merry christmas (and happy holidays to our "non christmas" celebrating members) and happy new years. We survived 20121221 as i suspected we would but then again the server did die on us! All I can say, when I look back at all of the escapes I have had this past year (and since I embarked on this lifestyle) with the ladies of CERB, one thing that isn't even an issue is the donation. The rates you have all charged don't come close to reflecting the real value of the escape, companionship,memories, (and even in some cases friendship) you have provided to me. The rates have all been more than fair considering what has been provided in exchange So I would just like to say to you ladies, charge what your time and companionship is worth, don't let any guys try to pressure you to reduce your rate. Every year I pick a families name from a tree and try to provide them with the best Christmas as I possibly can. I do fundraise all year long and my regular "friends" contribute to "Lexy's Jar of Hope", I also put just about all of my tips in the jar to make sure I can do this and keep this family tradition alive, as I have everyone in my house involved. Today was the day that I dropped the boxes of food, gifts and a grocery store gift card to provide the family with their Christmas meal and a little something extra for the single Mom, just for her and to pamper herself. My family met the Mom and her 4 children, the look in the Moms eyes and her children's faces makes it all worth. I wasn't sure I was going to be able to reach my goal this year beacuse of personal family issues but I did. Thank you to everyone who helped this year and in the past. As someone who has an issue with rubbers (or rather...junior does....he absolutely LOATHES the damn things!) when I see a SP it's strictly for oral pleasure (mutual oral pleasure that is :69: ). And of course the pleasure of their company, cuddling, kissing, great conversation, the overall gf experience....but when it comes to actual sexual acts....I restrict my own pleasure to a bj. That being said the SP's I have seen have based their rates on the amount of time spent with them, regardless of services being provided to you....with the exception of greek (anal sex), fetishes,etc, which will often be extra. A bj however should usually be included in the rates advertised on their ads. My advice however is to not inquire about getting a "discount" because you're "only getting a bj". To do so can be considered very rude. You're paying for their time so be prepared to accept the rate as advertised. If you're looking for a bbbj (bj without a condom) that will sometimes be extra depending on the provider. Also how you intend to finish (in mouth / on face / on body / etc, assuming of course that she offers these services) may also be extra depending on the provider. But all this will often be stipulated in their ads or on their website, and if not it can be discussed with the lady in a respectful way prior to meeting during the inquiring/booking process. Don't be shy to ask questions when contacting her (again, doing so in a respectful way....I cannot stress that enough). If you're shy about discussing things like this over the phone with a stranger (as I am), than inquire and book via PM here on cerb or by e-mail or text (most SP's have this contact option, and many actually prefer it.) But by all means get any questions you may have out of the way before booking the date. One of the worst thing you can do in this hobby is to make assumptions. Neither of you would want any last minute surprises. Please also consider the fact that certain ladies choose to charge a lower rate in order to attract more clients and see multiple people a week for shorter dates. Others will intentionally set very high prices in order to keep a restricted and exclusive clientele. This strategy is more for the ladies interested into the cocktail date market (2+ hours per date) and long term arrangements. Both providers can be equally beautiful, smart and entertaining but both have chosen to do business differently based on their needs, lifestyle and the type of dates that they want.
